Many years ago i remember reading that the ayatolla homeni (the first leader of the islamic republic was a free mason during his youth as a student in france.

Having called iran a republic is a clear sign of its masonic origins because muslims historically only had kingdoms or tribes.

so maybe iran is (or not) a rebel mason offshoot
