They can't plug it , the damage is done . The quantity of methane being released is enormous and methane is a much more dangerous greenhouse gas than CO2 . Global dimming is caused by particles in the atmosphere from polution ( not from greenhouse gasses ) , reducing the quantity of sunlight reaching the surface. Less polution in the atmosphere and more greenhouse gasses equals less global dimming and increased global warming, which means .......

Extreme temperatures , hottest summer in over 150yrs , famine , fires , increased melting of ice caps , disalinisation of the gulf stream , end of moderate temperatures in northern Europe and north east coast USA , arctic conditions as far south as France , Italy .
