"The goal of a spiritual master is not to attract the whole world but to train workers who will work for the coming of the kingdom of God. If he does not feel he is managing to train true workers, servants of God, with his teaching, he will have the impression he has been wasting his time and his work has been for nothing. Can you understand that?

Try to think, now and then, ‘Our Master is there to help us, to enlighten us, to teach us and link us to heaven, but shouldn’t we be doing something for him as well? Doesn’t he also have some wish, some desire?’ You will discover that he too wants something. But what he wants he does not want for himself, that’s the difference: he wants workers who will spread the light, servants of God who will work for the good of the whole world."
