Well, that's pretty close. But see that 'G' thingy you wrote?

That's not a 'G' in Liber AL. Look at it again. It's an uvelor (spelling?) implosive phonetic symbol. Look in that International Phonetic Dictionary published in 1800 something or other.

Oh, and the X isn't a capital letter. It's a little x. This is actually a phonetic symbol too.

It stands for the letter x in Greek - Chi, sounds like Key and looks like an x.

Any way. Good luck in solving it. Hope this helps you along the way.

You still didn't get the 'G' right. This is disturbing. You must use UTF 8.

So, for the solution of this passage, one is well advised to use the Hebrew Qabalah, which is Kabbalah on the regular pattern.

Yeah, that's pretty close. I mean, it's a transliteration, but it captures the meaning, so I'll accept it.

Well, that's all true. And you have to be a real big Bible languages nerd to appreciate that.

I don't know, though...I think I like the transliteration given by redhat11. Gets to the point.

I'll tell you what's weirder than the cipher of Liber AL, and that is what J.R.R. Tolkein wrote in Lord of the Rings:

SH NZG DRBTLK
SH NZG GMbTL
SH NZG ThRKTLK
GH BRZM SH KRMpTL

Ash nazg dubatuluk
Ash nazg gimbatul
Ash nazg thrakatuluk
agh burzim-ishi krimpatul

One ring to rule them all
One ring to find them
One ring to bring them all
And in the darkness bind them

Same number of syllables. Sounds quite similar. It also shares a similar meaning? What do you think? Tolkein was a linguistics nerd too.

I think Tolkein may have known a whole lot more about what was going on it the world then we'll ever know.

This is the Tengwar language, of course. And I know that because I enjoy Tolkein. I also know that because I'm a dork.

Therion told men the glad word (LA = Nothing) and it made the world glad.

I expounded the riddle and it made the world...less than jovial.

But I can't help that. The world is a stupid place.
