President Bush and the current administration have borrowed more money from foreign governments and banks than the previous 42 presidents combined, a group of conservative to moderate Democrats said Friday.

Blue Dog Coalition, which describes itself as a group "focused on fiscal responsibility," called the administration's borrowing practices "astounding."

According to the Treasury Department, from 1776-2000, the first 224 years of U.S. history, 42 U.S. presidents borrowed a combined $1.01 trillion from foreign governments and financial institutions, but in the past four years alone, the Bush administration borrowed $1.05 trillion.

"The seriousness of this rapid and increasing financial vulnerability of our country can hardly be overstated," said Rep. John Tanner (D-Tenn.), a leader of the Blue Dog Coalition and member of the House Ways and Means Committee.

"The financial mismanagement of our country by the Bush Administration should be of concern to all Americans, regardless of political persuasion," said Tanner in a press release.

Earlier this year, the Blue Dog Coalition unveiled a 12-step plan to "cure" the nation's "addiction to deficit spending." It included requiring all federal agencies to pass clean audits, a balanced budget, and the establishment of a rainy day fund for use in emergencies specifically a natural disaster.

"No American political leadership has ever willfully and deliberately mortgaged our country to foreign interests in the manner we have witnessed over the past four years," said Tanner. "If this recklessness is not stopped, I truly believe our economic freedom as American citizens is in great jeopardy."

Think these banks will foreclose the US? Maybe America will end up at auction. Ever see that TV show on discovery channel about the repo men? Maybe some burly men will pull up with tow trucks and haul away stuff. Imagine if they went to Iraq and repo'd some trucks, tanks, and humvees. That would be funny.

What is happening now is that the rest of the world sees how weak the United States has become, the accumulated government debt, the loss of manufacturing, the demonstrated unavailability of support for the military soldiers in the field which reveals a weak conventional military, and the total subservience to Israel which betrays a loss of national identity and direction.

The third millennium has no need for global superpowers. The rest of the world recognizes that the US Government is going the way of the USSR.

The purpose of george w is to create havoc, destruction and stupidity as a distraction until his purpose is extinguished. Then he'll be thrown to the piranhas or whatever fate awaits him.

Its very obvious that he is being used to create problems. The question is WHY?

Good point LaDominio, WHY INDEED? I can tell you this, the obscenely rich of this planet are the enemies of all the rest of us. In most cases they have not earned their wealth. They have inherited it, married it, or stolen it. They are sick with greed and will take us all down. There should be limits on wealth and limits on poverty. By virtue of being born all people should have certain rights regardless of their circumstances. If humanity does not wake up very soon, we will all, rich included, suffer the same fate.

The United States must be destroyed before the New World Order can be implemented. There is still too much independence and nationalism alive in America, especially the heartland areas. That could be an enormous impediment to the Illuminati.
The best way to accomplish this is from within, i. e., a destruction of infrastructure starting with the economy and banking system.

Interesting.

So are you saying that America must be protected from destruction? Then who is the target?

It seems that everyone wants to give an end to America. Could we be weakening ourselves, or is this another trap? I think this is quite important.

It is clear to me that it is our responsibility to assist in the awakening.

America is "Babylon the Great". The nick name for New York City is "Babylon on the Hudson". Can anyone save "Babylon the Great" from her appointed fate!

The US trade deficit with the rest of the world jumped to a record $66.1bn (37.8bn) in September, as oil prices soared following Hurricane Katrina.
