Go to flea markets and craft shows for some really good deals on Amrikan-made stuff. Ask if they'll take $5 to $10 over what they paid for it and you usually get lucky.

At least American slave labour get minimum wage and can watch Seinfeld at night.

Buddha say: "What is the sound of one hand clapping? A Jerry Seinfeld monologue."

Keeping our hard-earned money circulating in our local communities instead of sending it overseas is at least one small thing we can do to help thwart the NWO agenda. It's one thing to talk about the NWO agenda, and quite another to actually try to do something about it, however small the action might seem to be.

redrat,

You are obviously an ignorant who can't even point Brazil on a map, otherwise you would not say that Brazil is a shit-hole.

1) La Dominio is not Brazilian,
2) Brazilians are not sheep, just check the results of the referendum when we voted against the ban on guns in the country, (look who's talking)
3) This is a very fine country, with some of the best people in the world. You probably fly on a Brazilian Embraer jet when you travel inside the US. (oops, I forgot white trash don't fly)
4) Brazilians are very clean (# one in soap consumption in the world) and the country is beautiful. Foreigners come here for a visit and don't want to go back home.
5) This country is more free than the one live in by miles (at least we have free, untampered elections).
6) stop watching Jerry Springer and study some geography.
6) People like you are the ones who make the US look bad around the world.

Well I think we all learnt something from that little episode redrat...

1) You’re probably between the ages of 12-15.
2) Your aunt is your mother.
3) American 'patriots' become even MORE dim when slandered for being stupid. (Useful information I might add)
4) You must think America isn’t a shithole country, and thus you are a super idiot.

Sure Bouncer,

may I suggest glicerin soap with passion fruit scents...or maybe some exotic teas aromatic ones ? If you live in Europe you can find them at Natura's stores in France or "O Boticario" all over Europe and Japan.

On a second thought, I could set up a website or sell them at ebay...I have seriously considered exporting those crystals that Americans love so much...they always have to take one home...those big raw balls of crystal rock sawed in two, or those birds make from stones...they sell for big bucks in the US, but here in Brazil you trip on them if you are not careful. They are cheap.

Brazil sounds like a nice place, SAT. Do you mind if I ask - does Brazil import a lot of goods from China?
I'm assuming that the U.S. is probably the biggest recipient, or one of largest recipients, of Chinese goods.

Marsali,

Not as much as the US. The US suffers from the WalMart effect. Even though we have WalMarts here, they have to adapt to face the competition, and they are more grocery supermarkets (like Safeway) than junkyard stuff stores that you put in your garage.

I was amazed when I lived in the US to see how much good, working stuff was discarded by the trash containers. I must confess I got a vacuum cleaner for myself. It was perfect. Not to mention garage sales...you could very well buy everything you need on those.

Things from China started flooding the country as smuggling from our nice neighbors from Paraguay, that were sold in smaller shops. Now the big chains are into it too and you can find all that crap everywhere. Fortunately, some things are still produced here, such as good shoes, textiles and good furniture. But the toy industry (which used to be big)for example, is GONE.

Much of the China stuff also used to come from the US or Japan, like notebooks and electronics, and now come from China...but the blame is on the multinationals. For Brazil, it is the same.

My American friends when they come here shop for shoes. You can buy excellent leather shoes for US$ 30 that sell for US$ 100 in the States.

You should see the stuff they throw away in Hong Kong. I remember seeing stuff on a trash heap like refrigerators, motorbikes, cars, tv’s, dvd players, dead bodies... well pretty much anything you can think of. I suppose that’s what happens when there is abundance.

Marsali

Yes, we here in the U.S. certainly do suffer from the WalMart effect. Convenience and one-stop shopping is the way to go for many.
Americans do discard or sell for cheap a lot of good stuff. I've a couple of young family members who were able to furnish nearly an entire apartment from stuff from thrift stores and garage sales.
Glad to hear that Brazil is still producing textiles, especially the shoes.
Not many textiles made here in the Pac. Northwest. A lot of airplanes, though, and military contracts for weapons manufacturing, as well as computer software.
Interesting that goods used to go through Brazil via other countries, and now goes there directly. Perhaps the multinationals make more money if there isn't a second party to pay.

Yo, Sat: if by crystals you mean geodes, there is limited success with them. What go well here are those aluminum salt crystals for under the armpits.

Is it true that brazil nuts are slightly radioactive because of the natural uranium ore in the soil?

Saturnino
11-18-2005, 10:13 AM
Bouncer,

never heard about the nuts being radioactive. Probably it is just a tale. To tell you the truth we don't eat much of those...we prefer cashew nuts and peanuts.
The crystals are natural big balls of quartz. They are beautiful, but what can you do with those ?
The birds are a hit among Americans. They MUST have one when they come down here. I think they absolutely kitsch.

Oh, holy cannoli! Yep, you're right: crystals are really big; lots of people would jump out of their auras to get their vibrating hands on one.

The nut story was from a while back and is not that important to me, anyway.

Hey, you are what you eat!

As for dumpster divin', I lived in a town that had semi-annual "Curb Pickup" days. The city would pick up anything left on the curb the night before, and of course a lot of folks (including my ex-wife and I) would pick through all the stuff. We got some amazing things out of it.

Listen, stupid trailer trash: I lived 2 years in the States, and I can guarantee that I've seen shit much like those pictures you found, with the difference that you do it by choice. You ignorant redneck probably haven't travelled outside your county.

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

This is quite a funny thread.

No one bag Oz though. Thats my job.

We recently had a big hullabaloo over frozen vegetables. They are bringing in Asian vege's that are less than hygenic with much of it fertilized by human waste. Some high levels of all sorts of nasties.

Well the average Oz slob ACTUALLY got angry about it, turned off the footy, hung up the cozzie and started writing letters. Our local newspaper in the West got really aggro about it and started supporting the push for CLEAR labelling of "country of origen" for frozen veggies so we could all boycott the Asian shit, literally.

Well, i was AMAZED at how the pollies and the supermarket chains resisted. I thought they would back down IMMEDIATELY with the massive public groundswell, but they resisted in the face of OBVIOUS overwhelming support for the clear labelling of veggies and other products. People here, and I'm sure in the U.S want to be able to clearly support local products even if they're more expensive.

I would love to know WHY the supermarket chains were SO resistent to Aussies wanting locally grown frozen veggies. I mean they still would'nt lose sales, they'd just be selling local stuff at a higher price.

Australian polititions were SO reluctant I am led to the conclusion there are PAYOFFS or heaven forfend...we are taking our orders from somewhere else.

It is clear that the Round Table groups rule and local polititions will continue to sell out their countries soul to foreign interests EVEN when their is a gigantic groundswell of local feeling for buying local products.

Since when does our freakin opinion matter? :-?

I'm laughing out loud here...I've just noticed that the trailer trash redrat is from ARIZONA !
I've actually lived in Arizona, north of Phoenix, and he can fool anyone but me about the shithole it is.

Arizona economy 2003 : US$ 182 billion
Sao Paulo CITY economy: US$ 200 billion...not the state, the CITY.

Drive north from Phoenix to Wickenburg and all you see is people living in shacks made from sheets of metal by the road, with a rusty old carcass of an car in the "frontyard". Except from parts of Scottsdale, the whole state stinks.

Go to one of the indian reservations and experience the reality of 90% alcoholism problem. You actually drive thru miles and miles of broken bottles by the road (must be their sport there).
In Phoenix itself, you can't walk around or you get a can of beer thrown at you by a yelling idiot in an old truck.

We used to live in what they told us was a nice condo, where they stole our laundry from the washing machines. Mean looking punks with tatoos all over, drunken guys falling from the stairs at night, fat single mothers on dole screaming and spanking their poor babies all day. My wife made me move to a very expensive gated condo in order to have some peace, and even then we were followed one evening after stopping by a 7-Eleven by a car with 4 guys...I actually had to outrun them.

There are parts of Phoenix where you have to pray to get out alive.
The only fun they have is to go to a sad casino in indian land and eat hamburguers dripping fat on the baccarat table.
And he wants to say that living there is beter than in this cosmopolitan city I live in, with some of the best culinary in the world, the 2nd largest fleet of helicopters in the globe, dozens of theaters, and beautiful people. Even the Americans at my school used to say that Arizona was a shithole.

It must be hard for redrat to live in the richest country in the world and to have nothing for him...to be what Americans call a loser.

Actually, calling redrat a redneck is not honest to good people in Georgia or Arkansas.

Anyway, what is sickening is the ATTITUDE. There is more to life than the economy. We would drive by those neighborhoods with modest houses and a car in front and be told they were high crime places, like in the "Boyz in the Hood" movie. We would then talk to ourselves...boy, with a car and a house, in Brazil those people would be raising a healthy family, going to school...instead, in Arizona they were taking drugs and drinking. This in a country where if you are bright, you can get a scholarship and achieve anything, but they thought it better to hail Bush and shoot road signs.

In fact, many of those people who live in slums in Brazil put themselves thru college with much effort. People are nice and happy, despite the poverty. I wonder how they would fare with 50% of the money Arizonians have.

Can anyone from a civilized place like Denmark, Germany or Connecticut please come and bash Brazil ??? :-)

São Paulo, "the world's fastest growing
city," is the major financial and business center of Latin America, responsible for half of Brazil's GDP. (Gross Domestic Product)
The city has the best services and transportation infrastructure, including two airports. Cumbica International Airport, located in Guarulhos, about 30 km from São Paulo's downtown, offers regular national and international flights. The airport nearest to downtown is Congonhas, which operates shuttle, regional and international flights.
São Paulo offers visitors a great variety of attractions. There are approximately 70 museums, more than 200 cinemas, 50 theatres, art galleries and cultural centers, and an exciting nightlife.
The Art Museum of São Paulo (MASP) is located in the middle of the Avenida Paulista and is the most important museum of Western art in Latin America. It features works of Bosch, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Renoir, Degas and Brazilian masters like Di Cavalcanti, Portinari and Tarsila do Amaral. On the museum grounds, many musical shows are performed, and a large antique fair takes place each Sunday.
The Ipiranga Museum displays an important sculpture "The Independence of Brazil" marking a key moment in Brazil's political history, when the country gained independence from Portugal. It is situated on the back of Independence Park, creating the mood of a European palace.
Pinacoteca do Estado is the oldest museum in São Paulo and a magnificent example of 19th century architecture.
The Municipal Theatre is the main venue for dance productions and national and international music concerts, like Sala São Paulo with capacity for more than 1500 people, if had presented in the Sala São Paulo great Orchestras as the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and others.
Restored in 1991, it has preserved a baroque style as well as components of Art Nouveau.
Metropolitan Cathedral of Sé is the main church of the city and features the largest organ of Italian origin in Latin America. The monastery of São Bento has neo-Gothic elements and contains many rare artifacts.
Cultural spaces like the Latin America Memorial, the São Paulo Cultural Center and Oscar Americano Foundation offer a daily variety of events for all interests.
São Paulo offers many leisure spaces, with 23 public parks including 1.6 million square meter Ibirapuera Park that is the most famous and important in São Paulo. It shelters the Bienal Pavilion and the Contemporary Art Museum. The park also stages shows and concerts of popular and classic music every weekend.
The São Paulo Zoo is considered one of the best in the world. Simba Safari shelters many animals from Africa such as antelopes, zebras, monkeys, tigers and lions.
30 km from São Paulo is Embú, a tiny and charming town with colonial-baroque architecture, where artisans exhibit and sell handcrafts. Masterpieces from the slavery era can be found at the artisans' workshops.
São Paulo is known as a city that doesn't sleep, offering its visitors a thrilling nightlife. The network of cinemas is large and modern. Theatres present important plays by national and international authors. With restaurants, which often close late, bars that don't close, and fabulous dance clubs, the city is rich with options for all interests and tastes.
The city also has 29 shopping malls, spread over several districts. The crafts fairs, art galleries and antique shops are also a smart choice.
With a privileged location, São Paulo is situated a short distance from wonderful beaches, mountains and ecological reserves.
The capital of fine cuisine, leisure and culture is also the financial and commercial center of Brazil. About 2.5 million tourists visit São Paulo annually, with the majority coming to attend fairs, seminars and conventions.
Anhembi complex is the largest business conference center in Latin America. Other modern convention centers and exhibition halls in the city are Rebouças Convention Center, Bienal Pavilion (in Ibirapuera), Expo Center Norte, SP Market Center, as well as conference centers at some of the best hotels: Transamérica, Intercontinental, Renaissance, Caesar Park and L'Hotel.

We do not bash Brazil, on the contrary: Brazil, Brazil what beautiful music you make. Our favorite place of Carnival, so much youth, so much life. In places here, we are much appreciated. Ordem e Progresso, and we have done just that. The wonderful reds of PauBrasil. The thirsty streets of Sao Paulo. The jungle with heat and skies blackened by fluttering wings. To fly, to be exhilarated above the fields of men. The two working in the field, which to take.

a doctor analyzes SATURN BOY (homo)
redrat: doctor welcome to club conspiracy, can you analyze a few sentences from a writer on this forum and come up with a diagnosis?
Dr: oh yes, it is what i do.
redrat: Ok, Saturn sems to use the word REDNECK alot in his writings, What is the significance of that? And he seems to project BRAZIL as a modern country of the 21st century, what is that all about?
Dr: well, lets take a look at the use of redneck, I see a obsessive disorder there in that most probably he was raped perhaps by a few men in the desert, as he said they were chasing him. And as for his proclaiming BRAZIL as COSMOPOLITAN, Well lets just say that that is a direct result of the rape.
redrat: I see and would you say that the experiences he has had leads to his obsessive lying and misleading facts about everything.
Dr: Oh yes, you see most FOREIGNERS are extremely jealous of American superiority, they live in TURD world countries as you say, and therefore almost always lie about their countries wealth and economies.
redrat: Ok, so what is the diagnosis?
Dr: I recommend Pschotropic drugs for his delusions, then some Group therapy along with probably some Electric Shock Traetment, followed by some RELAX time in the "HOSPITAL".
redrat: Yes, that sounds right doctor thank you for your time.

Buy American? Good luck, American not longer exists. It is the plan.
Move all manufacturing capacity out of the US. Why, because it's the future nature preserve. They KNOW this, all of them. Go ahead, study and compare the attitudes of multinational companies, I work for one.
We have the world in 2 parts.

Just look at Microsoft and the bazillion other companies who would sell their soul for the orgasmic prospect of entry into a billion person market that will never happen.

Yes, as a matter of fact I think I am smarter than you are. In fact, anyone in this forum is, and you are not adding anything here. This is a place for intelligent discussion. Behave or get out.

And idiot, in Brazil we speak Portuguese, so stop trying to impress me with your Spanish. You are so ignorant that, even when you try to look smart, you make a basic mistake and end up looking dumb.

Now behave and go back to Jerry Springer.

Ok, so I'm 50 years old, but just recently completed a degree in business administration.
We did case study after case study of how companies expand markets, break into new areas. Ya, education is also under the control of the NWO but life experiences tell me another story. The mechanics of all this globalism crap make it extremely rare and difficult for an individual to succeed. I know of an inventor who went to China to market a product and soon it was all over the place. No respect that it was his idea just business. The sole purpose of business is to make money. By making it a global playing field the requirements for success then are more favorable to larger organizations and hence more centralized control. Keyword here control. TB is right on the control issue. Nafta and the rest. Company policy blatantly conveys this attitude.

Redrat,
The buy American motto was good several years ago, but due to globilization of the multinational companies. How can we be sure that buying socalled American goods are not owned by the Chinese? We must know that the Chinese are much clever than that. As a businesss man, I would be. They would simply buy an American company keep the name and most of the employees and just make profits each year. They don't need to change the name or the empoyees as long as they are good workers. The world is a global economy now. Those that hold on to the belief that they should only serve their own community interest will be lost. The focus now is how can you produce products that will not only serve your community, but also the entire world. The companies that provide excellent service, loyalty to both consumer and worker, continued product growth and diversification will be the victors in the future. China has an advantage due to the fact that they have cheap labor. That will last for a couple of years until their workers began protesting for higher pay. We should require any company that provides business in our area to have at least 30% to 40% local ownership and employ at least 30% to 40% of the local people. This would help to prevent exploitation of the local area.

Hey mate, you'd better re-check your "facts"... lol.

Just because you dislike Saturnino and I, does not mean you have reason to recklessly spew out accusations like these.

You aren’t going to get where you need to go if something as small as this can muster such hate within you. If you are a Christian, then why do you contradict it?

Its the small things that make us grow.

Peace
