View Full Version : Fair warning if you ever find yourself going into court to defend yourself
If you ever find yourself having to appear in court in the US, don't let them ever appoint an attorney for your case, because you will not be able to fire him for incompetance or any other malfeasance, because the court is the only one who can fire the courts appointment, if you have little money, and need an attorney seek out the public defender office for free council, if you have money hire your own.
I'm not sure if all states follow this rule so you may want to check your state first.
Know the law before you need to!
Common knowledge I would think. I'm curious as to what prompted you to post this but I just wanted to add that a "public defender" will have far more friends in the system than he/she would as clients. There are some good defenders out there but unless you have the money to hire a lawyer who will actually fight for your rights, you are better off sparing your wallet and emotions and just moving on. If you consider middle-class America to make up the majority of citizens, consider for a moment that it is easy to financially overqualify in order to be allowed to get a public defender and at the same time easy to be underqualified to cover the cost of a good lawyer. Any financial settlement in your favor might as well be signed right over to the lawyer. Justice in the true sense perhaps in another life... not sure about this one.
Now it's time to make possible enemies... =\
At the risk of sounding like a total jerk, imagine for a moment if you would, what this forum would be like if we ALL started as many threads as you routinely do. Some of your posts contain information that some here might be interested in, but this one is just plain OUT THERE. I recommend setting up an account on Blogspot or something to record all of these things for your own purposes. It is difficult to tell if you're posting for us or for yourself. If we all posted as you do, the search function alone would be rendered immediately useless. Other threads that are in some cases up to thirty pages of comments are pushed down and off the top page for THIS reason..
Please do not take this as a personal attack of any kind. I am merely pointing out that this community is not unlike a real one. We need to get to know our neighbors and try to keep the neighborhood clean. This all starts for me in my own yard.
Before I post *anything* I perform a search to see if there is already information on a given topic. I ask the results to match exactly to be certain. Ideally, I could add my new comment to an old thread of the same topic and perhaps bring a good old thread back to life. I also ask myself if the information would be of interest to anyone other than myself... and if I don't think at least two people will bother to respond or comment, I won't post it. There is the occasional post it no matter what if something excites me enough. There are no rules when it comes to internet communications but it is possible to type a lot and still say nothing.
Always interesting to me the subtle distinction in personality for example when comparing posts from someone who actively comments on the topics started by others and someone who *only* starts threads, rarely commenting on threads they didn't initiate. Once you get to know people a little, and you've been doing this internet communications long enough, you can get a true virtual sense of a person.
I will try not to be overly judgmental. Am I lacking in my personal life to the point of responding with thirty paragraphs on nothing to someone I don't even really know? No, I don't think so. I'm not actually on here that much. I just tend to haunt this place when the mood strikes me. I say all of this because I happen to care about some of the contributions people have left here and continue to leave here. Admittedly, this is coming from a rather selfish motivation on my part but... having spoken to noone else on this topic, I am rather confident I speak for more than myself and I'm not saying all of this to you alone.
Something to maybe think about is all...
Are the contents of this thread worthy of possibly pushing an existing thread of thirty pages off to the second page and out of sight? Probably not.
As a fellow regular here I'm sure you can appreciate why I'm bothering to say these things.
Keep talking. :-D
No offense taken, I just learned about the courts power to refuse someone from firing their attourny (sic),if they were court appointed, the other reason I thought that the site could use comments on this is because of Henrys latest posting of a new board, and what the powers that be have the power to do.
Your right I don't post much on other peoples post, like mkultra, I don't think I ever posted on this, not because it isn't interresting, but because I just haven't read that much about it, to say what I think on it.
As I see it, and freely admit it, I don't contribute that great of material to this site, but I try to bring somethings up I think should be out there.
Perhaps your right that it wouldn't be a good fit for this site, I can't say, but I think that we do need to examine the laws of the land since they are so quickly being used against us, and in my mind it is a conspiracy against us all, no matter where you live in the world.
I appreciate your understanding. What would have amplified the original post 99% would have been references (links, article snippets) to the information that prompted it from the beginning. I wasn't aware until now that Makow had even written on this specific topic. I don't like to name names when it comes to certain individuals forum habits [where they have to just be heard on everything whether they know anything about it or just did their research in five minutes on a webpage hosted on Geocities] and it isn't my place to judge you. There's certainly a difference between casually commenting and responding as you normally would and what you just described.
I was a member of a rather unique [now defunct] message board which was what I consider to be the first experiment of it's kind... this was back in 94'. It eventually moved from a message board to a forum like this using PHPBB software but the domain that housed this consciousness fell to darkness and we all closed our accounts and split. The core group remains intact via email.
My point is simply... been there done that. I said this elsewhere not too long ago but none of this matters anyway because none of this text will exist five years from now. Maybe even one. It's the nature of the beast. Years of my thought and expression and my albeit public attempts at making sense of the world around me with the others... collectively... irreplaceable and lost forever for those who were intended but never got a chance to partake. Long story.
Like you, I can't say I know for sure what works but I happen to know what doesen't.
Please do not let this interaction stop your next post from occurring. Got a direct link to this Makow article?
In a post that we couldn't tell if the site had been hacked this link was listed , http://www.scruplesgame.com/zts/, and since henry started the new board, I figured he had posted it.
it is about one type of law, and I was thinking that all law needs to be examined with a conspiracy mind.
Also, I looked back at post that others had posted, and your right, I do tend to start my own probably 90% of the time rather than comment on others, not sure why that is, but will try to contribute more to others in the future.
Just be sure not to hold back in putting me in my place when/if I get on your nerves! I don't think most people would have taken my comments as constructively as you have. I KNOW they wouldn't!
We are ALL here to learn from eachother... disinformation specialists, members of secret societies and the elite included! Ehh, why not... yes even you ignt! 8-)
