Inside the Hidden World of Secret Societies
http://www.nireland.com/evangelicaltruth/index.html

This site provides an unprecedented insight into the mystical world of secret societies, their hidden secret society degrees, rituals, secrets and esoteric teaching. It examines, in detail, Freemasonry, which is widely accepted as the mother of most of our modern-day secret society organisations. The site also looks at the many so-called Protestant secret societies, which have been birthed by Freemasonry, like the Orange Order, the Independent "Loyal" Orange Institution and the Royal Black Institution and compares, contrasts and examines the similarities between these neo-Masonic structures and their ritualistic degrees. We also address the controversial subject of generational curses, which has come to the fore in recent years.

This site creates a unique facilty for those both on the inside and outside of these secret bodies who desire to examine otherwise hard-to-obtain internal material relating to the many esoteric secret societies throughout the world. This informative in-depth resource centre discloses startling evidence about the origins, structures, secrets, degrees and rituals of bodies which has hitherto been concealed from the public gaze.

This website will endeavour to demonstrate in an open objective manner the incompatibility of these mysterious secret societies and their degrees with the Christian faith and with God's infallible Word - the Bible (a book these Masonic structures so frequently yet corruptly employ). In revealing such, we desire to reach the many Freemasons, Orangemen and Blackmen in our land (Northern Ireland) and further afield with the simplicity of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. This anti-Masonic site and the information contained within it is also a must for every born-again evangelical Christian interested in the alarming hidden influence of these highly ritualistic secret Masonic bodies. See the secrets and degrees exposed in graphic detail.

The Knights of Malta

Popish Knights

The Irish Knights of Malta is the next step of advancement from the Independent Orange Institution. In fact, in Ireland one can only progress to the Knights of Malta via this organisation. This so-called Protestant Order developed from the papist Scottish Knights of Malta, which in turn has its origins in the papal inspired crusades of the dark ages as the Knights of St.John of Jerusalem. Today it shares many of the same heathenish practises as Templarism worldwide.

Most of the leadership of the Independent Orange Institution are members of this mystical fraternity. The Scottish Knights of Malta in essence is a product of an extreme form of Romanism and occult practice.

The Royal Arch Purple Degree

There were three main degrees worked within the Orange Order in its early days between 1795 and 1798. These were - the Orange degree, the Orange Marksman degree and the Purple Marksman degree. Whilst little is known of the exact content of these three degrees it seems certain that they were highly ritualistic in character, being modelled on the first three degrees of Freemasonry, namely, Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft and Master Mason.
Orange degree - Entered Apprentice degree
Orange Marksman degree - Fellowcraft degree
Purple Marksman degree - Master Mason degree

A ruling authority over the Orange - a Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland - wasn't formed until 21st April 1798. This body brought much needed stability and leadership to the Order at a strategic period in its history. Grand Lodge immediately addressed the bewildering amount of unnecessary ritualism that had found its way into Orangeism, and here began a process of reform which purged out all the ritualistic baggage which had settled itself within the Order. This resulted in the disposal of the original three (elaborate) degrees of the Orange.

From this date forward, the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland accepted only simplicity within its Order. Between 1798 and 1800 Grand Lodge began a process of implementing this simplification by standardising procedures throughout every lodge in Ireland. That they might eradicate any lingering injurious behaviour by spurious characters, they abolished the old Orange Order in 1800, with its ritualistic connections, obliging every Orangeman to rejoin a now simplified new Orange Institution.

Those ritualistic Orangemen inside the Order who bore allegiance to the former neo-Masonic degrees were far from happy at this radical reform. Some continued to practise these illegal degrees in a clandestine manner, in blatant violation of the rules of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland.

Facing strong persecution from a now powerful Grand Lodge and realising their beleaguered position, they merged the three old degrees into one large ritualistic degree. The Arch Purple Chapter's book 'History of the Royal Arch Purple Order' explains: "Sometime between 1800 and 1811, possibly in 1802, a new degree was devised." This degree was "developed from the three pre 1798 'old degrees' " (p. 59). This elaborate degree became known as the 'Royal Arch Purple degree'.

From its inception, the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland looked upon this neo-Masonic Royal Arch Purple degree with understandable abhorrence. It was viewed as being incompatible with, and contrary to, both Protestantism and Orangeism. Those ritualistic Orangemen who practised the degree were persecuted by Grand Lodge, forcing them to practise the degree in great secrecy for fear of expulsion from the Order. Grand Lodge maintained this position throughout the whole of the 1800s and into the early 20th century. The hard line assumed by the Orange Institution in Ireland mirrored the resolute stance of Orangeism throughout Great Britain.

The Symbols of Orangeism

Whilst opposition to the Royal Arch Purple within 19th Century Orangeism was enormous, a proposal was made to the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland to accept the Royal Arch Purple degree into the Institution in the early 1900's. It succeeded in that it passed two readings, but when it came before the Grand Lodge meeting of 8th December 1909, in Dublin, delegates present resolutely rejected the introduction of the Royal Arch Purple degree into the Orange Institution of Ireland.

Realising there was little chance of the Arch Purple degree being integrated into the Orange Institution of Ireland, these clandestine Orangemen, on 30th November 1911, inaugurated their own Institution - the "Royal Arch Purple Chapter of Ireland"- with its own ruling authority known as the Grand Chapter.

The degree:

The draft to the Arch Purple Chapter's book diplomatically traces the roots of the Royal Arch Purple degree, stating that, "In light of the evidence available it would appear that the degree given today evolved from certain practices which had their origin in the Masonic Order, together with some innovations which had been introduced by those brethren conferring the degree in different areas being added to the original theme of the pre 1800 degrees to form a new ritual."

In their book 'The Orange Order: An Evangelical Perspective' Grand Chaplain of the Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland (which owns the Royal Arch Purple as its second degree) Rev. Ian Meredith and Irish Arch Purple man Rev. Brian Kennaway comment on the Arch Purple degree. They state, "It has to be admitted that this is the most 'Masonic-like' part of our ceremony." They later describe it as "a Christianised or 'Reformed Freemasonry' " (pp. 12, 25).

Yeah I know, old news for some, but for newbies and those who don't know why I'm instantly suspect, of those who instantly trash, the importance of The ORANGE Order;

Tavistock
The Best Kept Secret in America

From Dr. Byron T. Weeks, MD
July 31, 2001
http://educate-yourself.org/nwo/nwotavistockbestkeptsecret.shtml

The Delanos and other ruling families of the World Order trace their lineage directly back to William of Orange and the regime which granted the charter of the Bank of England.

[Editor's Note: No one deserves more credit than Dr. John Coleman for bringing to light the history and true purpose of the City of London's Tavistock Institute and its many subdivisional institutions and organizations which was exposed in stunning detail in his 1992 book, Conspirators' Hierachy: The Story of The Cimmittee of 300. Dr Coleman has rightly complained that many NWO expose writers who have followed in his wake, have used his original research without crediting him as the originating source and in fairness to him, it should be observed that the information presented below is a reflection of his pioneering investigations into Tavistock.

The article below was sent to John Quinn by Dr. Byron Weeks. The insidious propaganda and public opinion manipulations (including mind control agendas) orchestrated by London's Tavistock Institute is covered at length in the books of David Icke and Dr John Coleman, but this recent article adds fresh insights and historical perspective. Our thanks to Brice Taylor <brice@teleplex.net> for forwarding...Ken Adachi]

Preface from John Quinn (NewsHawk)
This forwarded article was received from Byron Weeks; who in our opinion really has a good firm handle on exactly WHAT is up on many levels with the extraordinarily extensive "control trips" currently being directed against the peoples of the world by elements of the global shadow government.

Weeks, whom I quoted at length in the book PHOENIX UNDEAD, has sent us this compelling look at a globally-active British institute which has had it's hands in just about every social and political/governmental movement of note throughout much of the world for the past 50 years.

For example, ever wonder who and what is "behind", let's say, the CIA? Well, they don't swear allegiance to America, that's for certain. Try the British royal family.

This report is the real stuff--solidly researched and meticulously documented; so for lots more truly concept-bending data, read on.

TAVISTOCK - THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN AMERICA

TAVISTOCK INSTITUTE . . . . . . . . .
30 Tabernacle Street, London EC2A 4DD.--

Formed in 1947, the Tavistock Institute is an independent not-for-profit organization which seeks to combine research in the social sciences with professional practice. Problems of institution-building and organizational design and change are being tackled in all sectors - government, industry and commerce, health and welfare, education, etc. - nationally and internationally, and clients range from multinationals to small community groups. A growth area has been the use of a developmental approach to evaluation of new and experimental programs, particularly in health, education and community development. This has also produced new training events alongside the regular program of group relations conferences. The Institute owns and edits the monthly journal Human Relations (published by Plenum Press) which is now in its 48th year, and has recently launched (in conjunction with Sage Publications) a new journal Evaluation.

Three elements combine to make the Institute unusual, if not unique: it has the independence of being entirely self-financing, with no subsidies from the government or other sources; the action research orientation places it between, but not in, the worlds of academia and consultancy; and its range of disciplines include anthropology, economics, organizational behavior, political science, psychoanalysis, psychology and sociology.

The ideology of American foundations was created by the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London. In 1921, the Duke of Bedford, Marquess of Tavistock, the 11th Duke, gave a building to the Institute to study the effect of shellshock on British soldiers who survived World War I. Its purpose was to establish the "breaking point" of men under stress, under the direction of the British Army Bureau of Psychological Warfare, commanded by Sir John Rawlings-Reese.

Tavistock Institute is headquartered in London. Its prophet, Sigmond Freud, settled in Maresfield Gardens when he moved to England. He was given a mansion by Princess Bonaparte. Tavistock's pioneer work in behavioral science along Freudian lines of "controlling" humans established it as the world center of foundation ideology. Its network now extends from the University of Sussex to the U.S. through the Stanford Research Institute, Esalen, MIT, <http://watch.pair.com/Hudson.html>Hudson Institute, <http://watch.pair.com/heritage.html>Heritage Foundation, Center of Strategic and International Studies at Georgetown, where State Dept. personal are trained, US Air Force Intelligence, and the Rand and Mitre corporations. The personnel of the corporations are required to undergo indoctrination at one or more of these Tavistock controlled institutions. A network of secret groups, the Mont Pelerin Society, Trilateral Commission, Ditchley Foundation, and the Club of Rome is conduit for instructions to the Tavistock network.

[Editor, Tim Aho's note: See Watch Unto Prayer report on The Heritage Foundation founded by Paul Weyrich with funding from Joseph Coors, who also founded and financed respectively the Moral Majority and Council for National Policy.]

Tavistock Institute developed the mass brain-washing techniques which were first used experimentally on American prisoners of war in Korea. Its experiments in crowd control methods have been widely used on the American public, a surreptitious but nevertheless outrageous assault on human freedom by modifying individual behavior through topical psychology. A German refugee, Kurt Lewin, became director of Tavistock in 1932. He came to the U.S. in 1933 as a "refugee", the first of many infiltrators, and set up the Harvard Psychology Clinic, which originated the propaganda campaign to turn the American public against Germany and involve us in World War II.

In 1938, Roosevelt executed a secret agreement with Churchill which in effect ceded U.S. sovereignty to England, because it agreed to let Special Operations Executive control U.S. policies. To implement this agreement, Roosevelt sent General Donovan to London for indoctrination before setting up OSS (now the CIA) under the aegis of SOE-SIS. The entire OSS program, as well as the CIA has always worked on guidelines set up by the Tavistock Institute.

[Editor, Tim Aho: See Watch Unto Prayer report on <http://watch.pair.com/jbs-cnp.html>The John Birch Society & Council for National Policy for information regarding CIA operations on the Christian Right.]

Tavistock Institute originated the mass civilian bombing raids carried out by Roosevelt and Churchill purely as a clinical experiment in mass terror, keeping records of the results as they watched the "guinea pigs" reacting under "controlled laboratory conditions". All Tavistock and American foundation techniques have a single goal---to break down the psychological strength of the individual and render him helpless to oppose the dictators of the World Order. Any technique which helps to break down the family unit, and family inculcated principles of religion, honor, patriotism and sexual behavior, is used by the Tavistock scientists as weapons of crowd control.

The methods of Freudian psychotherapy induce permanent mental illness in those who undergo this treatment by destabilizing their character. The victim is then advised to "establish new rituals of personal interaction", that is, to indulge in brief sexual encounters which actually set the participants adrift with no stable personal relationships in their lives, destroying their ability to establish or maintain a family. Tavistock Institute has developed such power in the U.S. that no one achieves prominence in any field unless he has been trained in behavioral science at Tavistock or one of its subsidiaries.

Henry Kissinger, whose meteoric rise to power is otherwise inexplicable, was a German refugee and student of Sir John Rawlings-Reese at SHAEF. Dr. Peter Bourne, a Tavistock Institute psychologist, picked Jimmy Carter for President of the U.S. solely because Carter had undergone an intensive brainwashing program administered by Admiral Hyman Rickover at Annapolis. The "experiment" in compulsory racial integration in the U.S. was organized by Ronald Lippert, of the OSS and the American Jewish Congress, and director of child training at the Commission on Community Relations. The program was designed to break down the individual's sense of personal knowledge in his identity, his racial heritage. Through the Stanford Research Institute, Tavistock controls the National Education Association. The Institute of Social Research at the National Training Lab brain washes the leading executives of business and government.

Such is the power of Tavistock that our entire space program was scrapped for nine years so that the Soviets could catch up. The hiatus was demanded in an article written by Dr. Anatol Rapport, and was promptly granted by the government, to the complete mystification of everyone connected with NASA. Another prominent Tavistock operation is the Wharton School of Finance, at the University of Pennsylvania. A single common denominator identifies the common Tavistock strategy---the use of drugs. The infamous MK Ultra program of the CIA, in which unsuspecting CIA officials were given LSD, and their reaction studied like "guinea pigs", resulted in several deaths.

The U.S. Government had to pay millions in damages to the families of the victims, but the culprits were never indicted. The program originated when Sandoz AG, a Swiss drug firm, owned by S.G. Warburg Co. of London, developed Lysergic Acid [LSD]. Roosevelt's advisor, James Paul Warburg, son of Paul Warburg who wrote the Federal Reserve Act, and nephew of Max Warburg who had financed Hitler, set up the <http://watch.pair.com/FreedomHouse.html#ips>Institute for Policy Studies to promote the drug. The result was the LSD "counter-culture" of the 1960s, the "student revolution", which was financed by $25 million from the CIA.

One part of MK Ultra was the Human Ecology Fund; the CIA also paid Dr. Herbert Kelman of Harvard to carry out further experiments on mind control. In the 1950s, the CIA financed extensive LSD experiments in Canada. Dr. D. Ewen Cameron, president of the Canadian Psychological Association, and director of Royal Victorian Hospital, Montreal, received large payments from the CIA to give 53 patients large doses of LSD and record their reactions; the patients were drugged into weeks of sleep and then given electric shock treatments.

One victim, the wife of a member of the Canadian Parliament, is now suing the U.S. companies who provided the drug for the CIA. All the records of the CIA's drug testing program were ordered destroyed by the head of MK Ultra. Because all efforts of the Tavistock Institute are directed toward producing cyclical collapse, the effect of the CIA programs are tragically apparent. R. Emmett Tyrell Jr., writing in the Washington Post August 20, 1984, cites the "squalid consequences of the 60s radicals in SDS" as resulting in "the growing rate of illegitimacy, petty lawlessness, drug addiction, welfare, VD, and mental illness".

This is the legacy of the Warburgs and the CIA. Their principal agency, the Institute for Policy Studies, was funded by James Paul Warburg; its co-founder was Marcus Raskin, protege of McGeorge Bundy, president of the Ford Foundation. Bundy had Raskin appointed to the post of President Kennedy's personal representative on the National Security Council, and in 1963 funded Students for Democratic Society, through which the CIA operated the drug culture.

Today the Tavistock Institute operates a $6 Billion a year network of Foundations in the U.S., all of it funded by U.S. taxpayers' money. Ten major institutions are under its direct control, with 400 subsidiaries, and 3000 other study groups and think tanks which originate many types of programs to increase the control of the World Order over the American people. The Stanford Research Institute, adjoining the Hoover Institution, is a $150 million a year operation with 3300 employees. It carries on program surveillance for Bechtel, Kaiser, and 400 other companies, and extensive intelligence operations for the CIA. It is the largest institution on the West Coast promoting mind control and the behavioral sciences.

One of the key agencies as a conduit for secret instructions from Tavistock is the Ditchley Foundation, founded in 1957. The American branch of the Ditchley Foundation is run by Cyrus Vance, former Secretary of State, and director of the Rockefeller Foundation, and Winston Lord, president of the Council on Foreign Relations.

[Editor, Tim Aho's note: The wife of Winston Lord (CFR, Bilderberg, Skull & Bones), Bette Bao Lord (CFR, Bilderberg), is Chairman of the Board of Freedom House whose manipulation of the Christian Right via the Religious Persecution issue is documented in our report <http://watch.pair.com/FreedomHouse.html>Freedom House: A CFR Front.]

One of the principal but little known operations of the Rockefeller Foundation has been its techniques for controlling world agriculture. Its director, Kenneth Wernimont, set up Rockefeller controlled agricultural programs throughout Mexico and Latin America. The independent farmer is a great threat to the World Order, because he produces for himself, and because his produce can be converted into capital, which gives him independence. In Soviet Russia, the Bolsheviks believed they had attained total control over the people; they were dismayed to find their plans threatened by the stubborn independence of the small farmers, the Kulaks.

Stalin ordered the OGPU to seize all food and animals of the Kulaks, and to starve them out. The Chicago American, February 25, 1935 carried a front page headline, SIX MILLION PERISH IN SOVIET FAMINE; Peasants' Crops Seized, They and their Animals Starve. To draw attention from this atrocity, it was later alleged that the Germans, not the Soviets, had killed six million people, the number taken from the Chicago American headline by a Chicago publicist.

The Communist Party, the Party of the Peasants and Workers, exterminated the peasants and enslaved the workers. Many totalitarian regimes have found the small farmer to be their biggest stumbling block. The French Reign of Terror was directed, not against the aristocrats, many of whom were sympathetic to it, but against the small farmers who refused to turn over their grain to the revolutionary tribunals in exchange for the worthless assignats. In the United States, the foundations are presently engaged in the same type of war of extermination against the American farmer.

The traditional formula of land plus labor for the farmer has been altered due to the farmer's need for purchasing power, to buy industrial goods needed in his farming operations. Because of this need for capital, the farmer is especially vulnerable to the World Order's manipulation of interest rates, which is bankrupting him. Just as in the Soviet Union, in the early 1930s, when Stalin ordered the Kulaks to give up their small plots of land to live and work on the collective farms, the American small farmer faces the same type of extermination, being forced to give up his small plot of land to become a hired hand for the big agricultural trusts. The Brookings Institution and other foundations originated the monetary programs implemented by the Federal Reserve System to destroy the American farmer, a replay of the Soviet tragedy in Russia, with one proviso that the farmer will be allowed to survive if he becomes a slave worker of the giant trusts.

Once the citizen becomes aware of the true role of the foundations, he can understand the high interest rates, high taxes, the destruction of the family, the degradation of the churches into forums for revolution, the subversion of the universities into CIA cesspools of drug addiction, and the halls of government into sewers of international espionage and intrigue. The American citizen can now understand why every agent of the federal government is against him; the alphabet agencies, the FBI, IRS, CIA and BATF must make war on the citizen in order to carry out the programs of the foundations.

The foundations are in direct violation of their charters, which commit them to do "charitable" work, because they make no grants which are not part of a political goal. The charge has been made, and never denied, that the Heritage-AEI network has at least two KGB moles on its staff. The employment of professional intelligence operatives as "charitable" workers, as was done in the Red Cross Mission to Russia in 1917, exposes the sinister political economic and social goals which the World Order requires the foundations to achieve through their " bequests ".

Not only is this tax fraud, because the foundations are granted tax exemption solely to do charitable work, but it is criminal syndicalism, conspiracy to commit offenses against the United States of America, Constitutional Law 213, Corpus Juris Secundum 16. For the first time, the close interlocking of the foundation "syndicate" has been revealed by the names of its principle incorporators---Daniel Coit Gilman, who incorporated the Peabody Fund and the John Slater Fund, and became an incorporator of the General Education Board (now the Rockefeller Foundation); Gilman, who also incorporated the Russell Trust in 1856, later became an incorporator of the Carnegie Institution with Andrew Dickson White (Russell Trust) and Frederic A. Delano. Delano also was an original incorporator of the Brookings Institution and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Daniel Coit Gilman incorporated the Russell Sage Foundation with Cleveland H. Dodge of the National City Bank. These foundations incorporators have been closely linked with the Federal Reserve System, the War Industries Board of World War I, the OSS of World War II and the CIA. They have also been closely linked with the American International Corporation, which was formed to instigate the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. Delano, an uncle of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, was on the original Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in 1914. His brother-in-law founded the influential Washington law firm of Covington and Burling. The Delanos and other ruling families of the World Order trace their lineage directly back to William of Orange and the regime which granted the charter of the Bank of England.

Tavistock Institutions In The United States

Flow Laboratories Gets contracts from the National Institutes of Health.

Merle Thomas Corporation Gets contracts from the U.S. Navy, analyzes data from satellites.

Walden Research Does work in the field of pollution control.

Planning Research Corporation, Arthur D. Little, G.E. "TEMPO", Operations Research Inc. Part of approximately 350 firms who conduct research and conduct surveys, make recommendations to government. They are part of what President Eisenhower called "a possible danger to public policy that could itself become captive of a scientific-technological elite."

Brookings Institution Dedicates its work to what it calls a "national agenda." Wrote President Hoover's program, President Roosevelt's "New Deal", the Kennedy Administration's "New Frontiers" program (deviation from it may have cost John F. Kennedy his life), and President Johnson's "Great Society." Brookings has been telling the United States Government how to conduct its affairs for the past 70 years and is still doing so.

Hudson Institute This institution has done more to shape the way Americans react to political and social events, think, vote and generally conduct themselves than perhaps any except the BIG FIVE. Hudson specializes in defense policy research and relations with the USSR. Most of its military work is classified as SECRET. (One idea during the Vietnam War was to build a moat around Saigon.) Hudson may be properly classified as one of the Committee of 300's BRAINWASHING establishments. One of its largest clients is the U.S. Department of Defense which includes matters of civil defense, national security, military policy and arms control.

[Editor, Tim Aho: This is the same <http://watch.pair.com/Hudson.html>Hudson Institute which gave us GOALS 2000 and authored the Freedom From Religious Persecution Act, which became the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998. This law required the creation of a federal commission to monitor religion chaired by a presidentially-appointed Ambassador-at-Large on International Religious Freedom under the mandates of the United Nations' covenants and authority of the International Criminal Court.]

National Training Laboratories One of the key institutions established for this purpose in the United States was the National Training Laboratories (NTL). Founded in 1947 by members of the Tavistock network in the United States and located originally on an estate in Bethel, Maine, NTL had as its explicit purpose the brainwashing of leaders of the government, educational institutions, and corporate bureaucracies in the Tavistock method, and then using these "leaders" to either themselves run Tavistock group sessions in their organizations or to hire other similarly trained group leaders to do the job. The "nuts and bolts" of the NTL operation revolves around the particular form of Tavistock degenerate psychology known as "group dynamics," developed by German Tavistock operative Kurt Lewin, who emigrated to the United States in the 1930s and whose students founded NTL.

In a Lewinite brainwashing group, a number of individuals from varying backgrounds and personalities, are manipulated by a "group leader" to form a "consensus" of opinion, achieving a new "group identity." The key to the process is the creation of a controlled environment, in which stress is introduced (sometimes called dissonance) to crack an individual's belief structure. Using the peer pressure of other group members, the individual is "cracked," and a new personality emerges with new values. The degrading experience causes the person to deny that any change has taken place. In that way, an individual is brainwashed without the victim knowing what has taken place.

This method is the same, with some minor modification, used in all so-called "sensitivity groups" or "T-groups," or in the more extreme rock-drug-sex counterculture form, "touchy-feely groups," such as the kind popularized from the 1960s onward by the Esalen Institute, which was set up with the help of NTL.

From the mid-1950s onward, NTL put the majority of the nation's corporate leaderships through such brainwashing programs, while running similar programs for the State Department, the Navy, the Department of Education, and other sections of the federal bureaucracy. There is no firm estimate of the number of Americans who have been put through this process in last 40 years at either NTL, or as it is now known the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences, which is based in Rosslyn, Virginia, or its West Coast base of operations, the Western Training Laboratories in Group Development, or in various satellite institutions. The most reliable estimate is in the several millions.

One of the groups that went through the NTL mill in the 1950s was the leadership of the National Education Association, the largest organization of teachers in the United States. Thus, the NEA's outlook has been "shaped" by Tavistock, through the NTL. In 1964, the NTL Institute became a direct part of the NEA, with the NTL setting up "group sessions" for all its affiliates. With funding from the Department of Education, the NTL Institute drafted the programs for the training of the nation's primary and secondary school teachers, and has a hand as well in developing the content of educational "reforms," including OBE.

Also known as the International Institute for Applied Behavioral Sciences. This institute is a brainwashing center in artificial stress training whereby participants suddenly find themselves immersed in defending themselves against vicious accusations. NTL takes in the National Education Association, the largest teacher group in the United States. While officially decrying "racism", it is interesting to note that NTL, working with NEA, produced a paper proposing education vouchers which would separate the hard-to-teach children from the brighter ones, and funding would be allocated according to the number of difficult children who would be separated from those who progressed at a normal rate. The proposal was not taken up.

University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance & Commerce Founded by Eric Trist One of the "brain trusts" of Tavistock, Wharton has become one of the more important Tavistock in so far as "Behavioral Research" is concerned. Wharton attracts clients such as the U.S. Department of Labor---which teaches how to produce "cooked" statistics at the Wharton Econometric Forecasting Associates Incorporated. This method was very much in demand as we came to the close of 1991 with millions more out of work than was reflected in USDL statistics. Wharton's ECONOMETRIC MODELING is used by every major Committee of 300 company in the United States, Western Europe, the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations, and the World Bank. Institute for Social Research Among its clients are The Ford Foundation, U.S.Department of Defense, U.S.Postal Service and the U.S. Department of Justice. Among its studies are "The Human Meaning Of Social Change", "Youth in Transition" and "How Americans View Their Mental Health".

Institute For The Future This is not a typical Tavistock institution in that it is funded by the Ford Foundation, yet it draws its long-range forecasting from the mother of all think tanks. Institute for the Future projects what it believes to be changes that will be taking place in time frames of fifty years. So called "DELPHI PANELS" decide what is normal and what is not, and prepare position papers to "steer" government in the right direction to head off such groups as "people creating civil disorder." (This could be patriotic groups demanding abolition of graduated taxes, or demanding that their right to bear arms is not infringed.) This institute recommends action such as liberalizing abortion laws, drug usage and that cars entering an urban area pay tolls, teaching birth control in public schools, requiring registration of firearms, making use of drugs a non-criminal offense, legalizing homosexuality, paying students for scholastic achievements, making zoning controls a preserve of the state, offering bonuses for family planning and last, but most frightening, a Pol Pot Cambodia-style proposal that new communities be established in rural areas, (concentration camp compounds). As can be observed, many of their goals have already been more than fully realized.

INSTITUTE FOR POLICY STUDIES (IPS)

One of the "Big Three", IPS has shaped and reshaped United States policies, foreign and domestic, since it was founded by James P. Warburg and the Rothschild entities in the United States. Its networks in America include the League for Industrial Democracy. Lead players in the League for Industrial Democracy have included Jeane Kirkpatrick, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Irwin Suall of the ADL, Eugene Rostow, Arms control negotiator, Lane Kirkland, Labor Leader, and Albert Shanker. IPS was incorporated in 1963 by Marcus Raskin and Richard Barnett, both highly trained Tavistock Institute graduates. The objectives of IPS came from an agenda laid down for it by the Tavistock Institute, one of the most notable being to create the "New Left" as a grass roots movement in the U.S. Its been said that Barnett and Raskin controlled such diverse elements as the Black Panthers, Daniel Ellsberg, National Security Council staff member Halprin, The Weathermen Underground, the Venceramos and the campaign staff of candidate George McGovern. No scheme was too big for IFS and its controllers to take on and manage.

Through its many powerful lobbing groups on Capitol Hill, IPS relentlessly used its "Big Stick" to beat Congress. IPS has a network of lobbyists, all supposedly operating independently but in actual fact acting cohesively, so that Congressmen are pummeled from all sides by seemingly different and varied lobbyists, In this way, IPS was, and is still, able to successfully sway individual Representatives and Senators to vote for "the trend, the way things are going." By using key pointmen on Capitol Hill, IPS was able to break into the very infrastructure of our legislative system and the way it works.

IPS became, and remains to this day, one of the most prestigious "think tanks" controlling foreign policy decisions, which we, the people, foolishly believe are those of our law makers. By sponsoring militant activism at home and with links to revolutionaries abroad, by engineering such victories as "The Pentagon Papers," besieging the corporate structure, bridging the credibility gap between underground movements and acceptable political activism, by penetrating religious organizations and using them to sow discord in America, such as radical racial policies under the guise of religion, using establishment media to spread IPS ideas, and then supporting them, IPS has lived up to the role which it was founded to play.

[Editor, Tim Aho: See Watch Unto Prayer report on <http://watch.pair.com/FreedomHouse.html>Freedom House: "Grants (for the IPS) came from the Samuel Rubin Foundation and the Stern Family Fund. Samuel Rubin was himself a member of the elite Comintern of the Communist Party, founded by none other than Lenin himself. Billionaire Armand Hammer assisted Rubin in making the fortunes which helped launch IPS. Philip Stern, an IPS trustee, was the president of Stern Fund. The executive director of the Stern Fund, David R. Hunter, was previously an official of The National Council and the World Council Of Churches. (Dr. James W. Wardner, Unholy Alliances, p.125)]

STANFORD RESEARCH INSTITUTE

Jesse Hobson, the first president of Stanford Research Institute, in a 1952 speech made it clear what lines the institute was to follow. Stanford can be described as one of the "jewels" in Tavistock's Crown in its rule over the United States. Founded in 1946 immediately after the close of WWII, it was presided over by Charles A. Anderson, with emphasis on mind control research and "future sciences." Included under the Stanford umbrella was Charles F. Kettering Foundation which developed the "Changing Images of Man" upon which the Aquarian Conspiracy rests.

Some of Stanford's major clients and contracts were at first centered around the defense establishment but, as Stanford grew, so, did the diversity of its services:

Applications of Behavioral Sciences to Research Management Office of Science and Technology

SRI Business Intelligence Program

U.S. Department of Defense Directorate of Defense Research and Engineering

U.S. Department of Defense Office of Aerospace Research

Among corporations seeking Stanford's services were Wells Fargo Bank, Bechtel Corporation, Hewlett Packard, Bank of America, McDonnell Douglas Corporation, Blyth, Eastman Dillon and TRW Company. One of Stanford's more secret projects was extensive work on chemical and bacteriological warfare (CAB) weapons.

Stanford Research is plugged into at least 200 smaller "think tanks" doing research into every facet of life in America. This is ARPA networking and represents the emergence of probably the most far reaching effort to control the environment of every individual in the country. At present Stanford's computers are linked with 2500 "sister" research consoles which include the CIA, Bell Telephone Laboratories, U.S. Army Intelligence, The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Rand, MIT, Harvard and UCLA. Stanford plays a key role in that it is the "library", cataloging all ARPA documentation.

"Other agencies".....one can use one's imagination here, are allowed to search through SRI's "library" for key words, phrases, look through sources and update their own master files with those of Stanford Research Center. The Pentagon uses SRI's master files extensively, and there is little doubt that other U.S. Government agencies do the same. Pentagon "command and control" problems are worked out by Stanford.

While ostensibly these apply only to weapons and soldiers, there is absolutely no guarantee that the same research could not , and will not be turned to civilian applications. Stanford is known to be willing to do anything for anyone.

[Editor, Tim Aho: See Watch Unto Prayer report <http://watch.pair.com/dolphin.html>Lambert Dolphin & the Great Sphinx, which documents the connections of SRI's Lambert Dolphin with the Edgar Cayce Foundation and The Discernment Ministries.]

MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (MIT),
ALFRED P. SLOAN SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT

This major institute is not generally recognized as being a part of Tavistock U.S.A. Most people look upon it as being a purely American institution, but that is far from the truth. MIT- Alfred Sloan can be roughly divided into the following groups:

Contemporary Technology Industrial Relations NASA-ERC Computer Research Laboratories Office of Naval Research Group, Psychology Systems Dynamics

Some of MIT's clients are:

American Management Association
Committee for Economic Development
GTE
Institute for Defense Analysis (IDA)
NASA
National Academy of Sciences
National Council of Churches
Sylvania
TRW
U.S. Army
U.S. Department of State
U.S. Navy
U.S. Treasury
Volkswagen Company

RAND RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

Without a doubt, RAND is THE think tank most beholden to Tavistock Institute and certainly the RIIA's most prestigious vehicle for control of United States policies at every level. Specific RAND policies that became operative include our ICBM program, prime analyses for U.S. foreign policy making, instigator of space programs, U.S. nuclear policies, corporate analyses, hundreds of projects for the military, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in relation to the use of mind altering drugs like peyote, LSD (the covert MK-ULTRA operation which lasted for 20 years).

[Editor, Tim Aho's note: The founder of the Rand Corporation, Herman Kahn, also founded the Hudson Institute in 1961. In Educating for the New World Order, B.K. Eakman tells of a training manual for "change agents" developed for the U.S. government by Rand Corporation: ". . . a how-to manual with a 1971 U.S. Office of Education contract number on it entitled 'Training for Change Agents'; seven volumes of 'change agent studies' commissioned by the U.S. Office of Education to the Rand Corporation in 1973-74; scores of other papers submitted by behaviorist researchers who had obtained grants from the U.S. Office of Education for the purpose of exploring ways to 'freeze' and 'unfreeze' values, 'to implement change,' and to turn potentially hostile groups and committees into acquiescent, rubber-stamp bodies by means of such strategies as the 'Delphi Technique.'" (p. 118)]

Some of RAND's clients include:

American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T)
Chase Manhattan Bank
International Business Machines (IBM)
National Science Foundation
Republican Party
TRW
U.S. Air Force
U.S. Department of Health
U.S. Department of Energy

There are literally THOUSANDS of highly important companies, government institutions and organizations that make use of RANDS's services. To list them all would be impossible. Among RAND's specialities is a study group that predicts the timing and the direction of a thermonuclear war, plus working out the many scenarios based upon its findings. RAND was once accused of being commissioned by the USSR to work out terms of surrender of the United States Government, an accusation that went all the way to the United States Senate, where it was taken up by Senator Symington and subsequently fell victim to scorn poured out by the establishment press. BRAINWASHING remains the primary function of RAND.

These institutions are among those that fund The UNIFORM LAW FOUNDATION, whose function is to ensure that the Uniform Commercial Code remains the instrument for conducting business in the United States.

theres a good book bout the order called 'Behind Closed Doors'' by Paul Malcomson. he's an ex-Orangeman and writes bout how the orange order connects with all the other occult societies he also kinda proves how the Orange Order (at the higher levels!) like the irish Roman Catholic Church is involved with paedophilia and how most of em are closet homos. he also shows rather clearly how there exist Paedophile networks and rings all over Ireland, Britain, America and Australia and how its all covered up by a network of Freemasons, the British Establishment the church and our friends the Rosicrucians..

Outrage over French N-bid

Article from: Herald-Sun

A FRENCH bid to build an atomic reactor in Australia has sparked outrage, with memories of its nuclear testing in the Pacific still fresh.
Labor and green groups have condemned the plan by France's state-owned Areva company to export its nuclear technology Down Under.

In a detailed submission to the Howard Government's nuclear taskforce, Areva said nuclear energy was viable in Australia and would ease the drought by powering desalination plants.

The company confirmed it was "very interested" in breaking into a future nuclear industry in Australia, and recommended large reactors over smaller ones.

Mr Albanese said Labor was still waiting for an answer from the Prime Minister on where he would build a reactor.

Greenpeace Australia-Pacific chief executive Steve Shallhorn said it was clear that nuclear "vultures" were circling in the hope of huge profits.

"I think it's outrageous, given France's history in the South Pacific, that they have the cheek to come and offer to build a reactor in Australia.

"It would be a mistake for Australia to invest in nuclear technology, but it would be an even bigger mistake to invest in French nuclear technology," he said.

Mr Shallhorn warned that Areva's latest reactor in Finland was beset by problems.

The first of the so-called "third generation" reactors, it was running late and over budget, wiping $300 million off Areva's bottom line, he said.

Industry and Resources Minister Ian Macfarlane said it was premature to speculate which companies might build a nuclear plant in Australia.

"We first need to determine whether there is an economic and environmental case for nuclear energy in this country," he said.

If Jesuits, Masons, Orange Men and Women, who have run this world into the hell we all suffer, read, study and commit, "their handbook", The Bible, to memoury, why do the Ciggies and Iros of this forum, keep telling all the young seekers, not to bother opening it's pages?

How many world leaders and business moguls, have to quite, run, be dumped and charged (as this Christian keeps warning), before folk accept that students of The Bible make the accurate 'predictions'?

"You're so ignorant, intolerant and hateful, Mr. Marrs. Contrary to what you say, the Lodge is a Christian organization. There is a Holy Bible found on the altar of every Masonic Lodge in America!"

This is what a man, identifying himself as a 32nd degree Mason, recently wrote me. The angry fellow insisted he is a Christian and that Freemasonry is also Christian.

"But, unlike you," he jibed, "I'm a believer in the true God and the true Jesus Christ—the God who answers to many names such as Allah, Krishna, Osiris, and Zoroaster, and the Christ who loves and accepts Buddhists, Hindus, Moslems, and people of every faith and creed."
http://www.conspiracyworld.com/web/Articles/Article%20Images/fez.gif
This Masonic Shriner fez, or cap, demonstrates the heretical doctrines of the Lodge. The Shriners are made up of high-level Masons who are initiated and take an oath at the altar of Allah and Mohammed. Diabolically, many Shriners insist they are also "Christians." For a complete exposé of the Shriners, please order Texe Marrs' 60 minute investigative audiotape, The Shriners—Allah's Islamic Cult Inside the Masonic Lodge.

Another Jesus and Another Gospel

As you can see, the Jesus this man describes is not at all the Jesus of the Scriptures. Instead, this is "another Jesus" (II Corinthians 11:4) and "another gospel" (Galatians 1:8)—an "accursed gospel," Paul called it.

Nor do Masons worship the same God. They call their deity the "Great Architect of the Universe," but they call out and pray to him under many names.

The gospel of Freemasonry is described very well in the commentary of the very Bible that, as our letter-writer boasted, is found on the altar of every Masonic Lodge in America. He told the truth. The lodges do display the Bible on their altar—their literature even describes the Bible as part of the "furniture" of the Lodge.

But Now…The Whole Story

But now, let me tell you the whole story. You see, the Masonic Altar Bible contains added pages of commentary which explain the Lodge's formal doctrine regarding the Holy Scriptures. Here, from the words printed in the Masons' own Altar Bible (page 5), we discover the accursed ecumenical teachings of Masons and the Lodge:

"For Masonry knows, what so many forget, that religions are many, but Religion is one…Therefore, it invites to its altar men of all faiths, knowing that, if they use different names for 'the Nameless One of a hundred names,' they are yet praying to the one god and Father of all; knowing, also that while they read different volumes, they are in fact reading the same vast Book of the Faith of Man as revealed in the struggle and sorrow of the race in its quest of God. So that, great and noble as the Bible is, Masonry sees it as a symbol of that (which, what? The Satanic bible?) eternal Book of the Will of God.

Much more, the grand old Bible is to us a symbol—that is, a part taken for the whole. It is a sovereign symbol of the Book of Faith, the Will of God as man has learned—that perpetual revelation of himself which God is making mankind in every land and every age.

Thus, by the very honor which Masonry pays to the Bible, it teaches us to revere every book of faith in which men find help for today and hope for the morrow, joining hands with the man of Islam as he takes oath on the Koran, and with the Hindu as he makes covenant with God upon that book he loves best." (Ge, just what the "Gate Keepers here "Preach"!)

All Religions, All Faiths, All Gods, All Scriptures Equal

So, we find that the added words in the commentary of the Masonic Altar Bible diminish Christianity by claiming that all religions, all faiths, all gods, are of the same merit. "Religion is one," the leaders of the Lodge conclude.

As for the Christian Bible, it's no more to be honored and revered by the Lodge than the Islamic Koran or the Hindu Vedas, or, for that matter, the ancient Greek writings of Homer. It's up to the individual Mason to choose the "scriptures" and the "God" he "loves best." (Satan?)

The Masonic doctrine is wonderfully ecumenical, open, broad, and tolerant. It is also horrendously demented and demonic! That's my unwavering belief, and that's exactly why our 32nd degree friend brands Texe Marrs "ignorant, intolerant, and hateful." I suspect that most readers of this Power of Prophecy newsletter would also be branded as such by the politically correct Masonic fraternity.

Jesus: A Name Above Every Name

The next time you encounter a Mason claiming a belief in "Christianity," or "Jesus," ask him about these words of commentary printed on page 5 of his Masonic Altar Bible. Then ask how this doctrine can be squared with these mighty words, contained in the actual text; that is, the Scriptures, of the very same Bible which sits on the Masonic Altar:

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

—Phillipians 2:9-11

See, the sad thing is, "Brother" deliberately mis-lead "Brothers", with countless divertions (levels of degrees are just that, all but the 'top', are too low level to know what the Elite of Rome, the Royal Black Institution, and High Orange Men know), but to all who understand, The Bible of our Creator, and it's clear Good News, is the key.

Lilly , is everything in bible is true ?
Is a bible true historical document and is written by Angel inspired man ?
Honestly

Simply, Yes. Correction, "Spirit" inspired.

It is a perfect "contract" between God and man. ALL mankind, over all time, and as we all know, even High Judges have trouble sifting through law, with all the forgotten precidents, caveats and liens etc. to remember and sort, in an effort to serve Justice, so of course you need help to understand The Most Complex Contract of all time, and that "Helper" is The Holy Spirit.

Some argue that God said He blind most, but forget, "Line upon line, here a little there a little". So of those 'little lines' also remind us to KEEP knocking and KEEP asking with a whole heart, and those will be answered.

It's part of the sifting and sorting of those who want the rewards of 'Godliness' from a foundation of selfish pride, rather than humble repentance.

On their way to world domination. It just might take a little while to get there.

The central piece of furniture in any well governed Masonic Lodge is the Holy Bible or Volume of Sacred Law (VSL). Placed upon the Altar in the center of the Lodge room it pours forth upon the East, West, and South its refulgent rays of Divine Truth. The Bible is used among Freemasons as a symbol of the will of God, however it may be expressed. It contains plain teaching for every rank of soul and state in life, which so far as they honestly and implicitly obey, they will be happy and innocent to the utmost powers of their nature, and capable of victory over all adversities, whether of temptation or pain. So much is its importance in Masonic daily life that it is also called one of the "Three Great Lights of Freemasonry." In a Lodge consisting entirely of Jews, the Old Testiment alone may be placed upon the Altar, and Turkish Freemasons make use of the Koran. Whether it be the gospels to the Christians, the Pentateuch to the Israelite, the Koran to the Muslem, or the Vedas to the Brahman, it everywhere Masonically conveys the same idea-- that of the symbolism of the Divine Will revealed to man.

In the ancient world, literary works were written on rolls or scrolls. The book form, called Codex, did not emerge until around the second century A.D. The Old Testament books were written on skins. The New Testament books were originally written on papyrus. Papyrus was made from the papyrus reed called a bulrush.

Bilbus or bulbos is the Greek word from which our word Bible comes. Biblos originally was the word for the papyrus bulrush itself; it then became the word for the papyrus writing material made from that bulrush; it then went on to mean a roll of papyrus; and finally it came to mean a book.

The work biblia was then coined to describe little books, and since the Scriptures are essentially that—a collection of little books—the word Bible was used to describe them.

This wonderful Masonic Bible pictured above was made by The Masonic History Company and has the complete Old and New Testaments. There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament, a total of 66 books. Included are a Preface by H. L. Haywood, FREEMASONRY AND THE BIBLE, A Bible Readers' Manual, A Sketch of the early Churches, the Ancient Versions of the Old Testament, New Testament Apocrypha, Hebrew Festivals, and has a full index and concordance. Of course what makes this Bible so special is its intricately hand-carved abalone shell cover. (not the truth of our Creators Word, no "They" worship the work of mans hands!) This Bible has approximately 1,100 pages and measures 8 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide and is 2 1/4 inches deep.

The ORANGE Order is also, like The Exclusive Brethren, one of the "strands" of the Protestant family.

Now among the report on SBS's DATELINE, I can't find on-line anymore, is that they have already had 30 Exclusive Brethren businesses, exempt, made, "No Go Zones" for Unions in Australia, and that they can and do track every cent their members make, inorder to know how much "tithes" to take from them.

This is very much of how the NWO/One World Religion will function.

Politics, Pamphlets and Prayers
But, it's less well known that Exclusive Brethren's world leader is an Australian, and that the sect has been operating here in recent federal elections.

Earlier this year John Howard acknowledged that he'd met with members of the Exclusive Brethren, an ultra-conservative Christian group described by some observers as "a moralistic sect". The group which bars their members from voting in elections, the results of which they say are ordained by God - have been accused of campaigning against the likes of the Greens and the Labour Party both here and in New Zealand. They've also been connected with a campaign for John Howard's re-election in Bennelong, his Sydney electorate. "We don't run a police state in this country," the PM has said. "Unless people are an unlawful organisation, they are entitled to meet with the Government. I've met a lot more fanatical people in my life than the Exclusive Brethren," he added. Well, you make up your own mind. Here's Chris Hammer.

Cult politics: a glimpse inside Exclusive Brethren
http://www.abc.net.au/worldtoday/content/2005/s1461155.htm

The World Today - Thursday, 15 September , 2005 12:26:00
Reporter: Toni Hassan
ELEANOR HALL: As New Zealand's election draws closer, an extreme religious group has been grabbing the headlines. Exclusive Brethren has produced glossy leaflets attacking the Greens and Labor across the Tasman.

But, it's less well known that Exclusive Brethren's world leader is an Australian, and that the sect has been operating here in recent federal elections.

So what is Exclusive Brethren, and what are the implications of intervention in national politics?

Toni Hassan has this report.

TONI HASSAN: It's a religious group like no other.

JOHN WALLIS: I think it used to be a fringe, but now I think it's developed in to a very dangerous cult.

TONI HASSAN: John Wallis from just outside Perth is a former member of Exclusive Brethren who was expelled, he says, for exposing corruption inside the group.

JOHN WALLIS: A group of people that operate in a hierarchical system where the members sell their minds to the hierarchy.

TONI HASSAN: The head of the hierarchy is known as the elect vessel or universal leader. The current leader is an Australian, Bruce Hales - a businessman who inherited the top job from his father, John Hales, after convincing membership of his leadership ability.

The Exclusive Brethren is one of the strands of the Protestant family that developed a separate identity in the early 19th century. It's not the same as the Brethren or Open Brethren, though both groups share a common heritage, coming from John Darby and the Christian Plymouth Brethren.

Members of Exclusive Brethren shun mainstream society and modern technology as evil. The list of bans have included everything from preventing women from cutting their hair, to banning pets.

Former member John Wallis believes there are 40,000 members scattered throughout the developed world, with around 8,000 members here in Australia.

JOHN WALLIS: We are God's chosen, we are the ones… perhaps even more fundamental, that there is no others, but that's a bit of double talk, because they would never admit to that, but the fact of the matter is that we can only associate, eat, do business with any more than a third party.

I mean, you can actually deal with the world, but you can actually be in business with anyone else except the Brethren.

TONI HASSAN: And they're forbidden even to vote?

JOHN WALLIS: Yeah, but what sort of hypocrisy is what's been going on in New Zealand?

TONI HASSAN: Yes, how do you explain their involvement there with a pretty glossy campaign targeted at the Greens and the Labor Party?

JOHN WALLIS: Oh, easily. The Lord has moved on. That would be their way of explaining it, yes, the Lord moves. I think the basic problem is, their God is crazy. In fact, he's insane. In fact, you never know what he's going to do next. This is really the mortar that keeps the bricks together.

TONI HASSAN: But is it not biblically based?

JOHN WALLIS: Absolutely not.

TONI HASSAN: And how would you speculate they were able to raise the half a million that's gone in just for the New Zealand campaign?

JOHN WALLIS: Oh, easily. Mr Hales would just tell them what to do and they'd do it. They've got a bit of a mix there, but most of them are men that could put their hand in their pocket probably for half a million dollars each.

TONI HASSAN: Greens Senator Bob Brown this week questioned the role played by Exclusive Brethren in Australia, asking Special Minister for State, Eric Abetz, about the sect's funding pamphlets backing Prime Minister John Howard last year.

Senator Brown says voters deserve to know the link-ups by which huge amounts of money from the Exclusive Brethren is being channelled into politics.

John Wallis is in no doubt the group is playing an increasingly pro-active role in local politics.

JOHN WALLIS: Oh, absolutely, yeah.

I've only just become aware of it more recently, but back as far as 1993, they had their finger in politics then distributing… I thought it was only one area, where there was a bit of an uncertain seat, where they distributed pamphlets, but they apparently distributed pamphlets in '93 all through New South Wales supporting for Liberal.

TONI HASSAN: I guess it's not illegal for any one group to spend thousands of dollars on an election campaign, targeting anyone with leaflets?

JOHN WALLIS: No, I wouldn't see it as illegal, but why can't these people be… I mean, I know why they can't be straightforward, but why can't they be straightforward and just say, hey, we're the Exclusive Brethren, we're not going to vote, but we want to influence the voting.

TONI HASSAN: Marion Maddox is a senior lecturer in religious studies at Victoria University in Wellington. She says Exclusive Brethren's intrusion into politics reflects a wider trend among Evangelical and Pentecostal churches.

MARION MADDOX: Towards a movement for what they call Christian Government. It's the idea that it's no longer enough just to watch from the sidelines, but that there's really a role for Christians in trying to get governments that reflect what they see as Christian values, which of course they're not necessarily what all Christians see as Christian values - reducing taxation, reducing welfare, increasing defence spending and then with the kind of socially, morally conservative positions also.

TONI HASSAN: The World Today did try and speak to Exclusive Brethren's leader, Sydney-based Bruce Hales, but was unsuccessful. Family members instead referred us to books and a website about the group.

ELEANOR HALL: Toni Hassan reporting.

The Exclusive Brethren is a conservative fundamentalist Christian group who desired to remain spiritually separate from the world surrounding them, and also from the divisions and confusion they perceived in Christendom.

The EB never used the name "Exclusive" for themselves, but it derived from their strict interpretation of the rules of membership of their "assemblies". EB believe that once one of their branches has excluded a person from Christian fellowship, that person remains excluded from all other branches. [1]

The Exclusive Brethren in Politics

While members of the EB do not vote, even in countries where voting is compulsory, in recent years they have played an increasingly active role in campaigning for conservative political candidates and parties.

The 2004 US Presidential campaign

In 2004 the EBs held prayer meetings and donated money for the Presidential re-election campaign of George W. Bush and U.S. Senate candidate Mel Martinez.

In October 2004, the Thanksgiving Committee was formed "four days after the deadline for reporting pre-election campaign expenditures," the St. Petersburg Times reported. [2] It also reported that the men who formed the group were members of the Exclusive Brethren. OpenSecrets reported that the committee raised and spent $636,522 in the 2004 campaign. [3]

The largest single donor, who contributed $377,262, was from Bruce Hazell of London, England. The committee took out a full page advertisement in the New York Times and a smaller one in the Tampa Tribune backing Bush "and a quarter-page ad in the St. Petersburg Times endorsing Republican Mel Martinez for U.S. Senate because of his support for traditional marriage." [4]

The contact listed for the group, Steve Truan, told the St. Petersburg Times that the group likes to "fly beneath the radar." He refused to discuss the advertisements.

The 2005 New Zealand election

In the 2005 New Zealand General Election, some individual members of the EB became involved in producing and distributing pamphlets attacking New Zealand Labour Party and the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand and supporting the rival conservative New Zealand National Party, whose leader, Don Brash, they had met several times. [5] [6] [7]

The 2006 Tasmanian election

Members of the EB placed advertisements and distributed leaflets attacking the Tasmanian Greens in the 2006 Tasmanian state election. [8]

Opposition Liberal Party state director Damien Mantach has confirmed he met members of the Exclusive Brethren before the election campaign. [9] The Liberals distributed similar brochures of their own.

EU unfazed by Tymoshenko warning on Ukraine
22.11.2006 - 17:39 CET | By Andrew Rettman
http://euobserver.com/24/22930
EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS - Ukraine's new prime minister Viktor Yanukovych is trying to take his country back into the pre-Orange Revolution era and must be removed, ex-prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko said in Brussels on the second anniversary of the Orange Revolution - but the EU is keeping an open mind on Mr Yanukovych for now.

Referring to the country's Soviet-like pre-revolution leader Leonid Kuchma, Ms Tymoshenko said "Foreign policy and domestic policy with Yanukovych looks like Kuchma-light, like cigarettes - it is similar to Kuchma but not as dangerous. We are doing all we can not to let Kuchma-light turn into Kuchma-full strength."

Presenting a list of anti-EU moves by the Yanukovych government in the past six months, she predicted that a new Orange coalition in parliament will topple Mr Yanukovych in early elections next year and the constitutional court will transfer power back from parliament to Orange president Viktor Yushchenko.

Mr Yanukovych has, she says: blocked legislation needed for WTO membership and the creation of an EU free trade zone; leant on media to spread anti-NATO "propaganda" ahead of a referendum on membership; increased energy dependency on Russia by non-transparent gas price deals and sidelined pro-EU foreign minister Boris Tarasyuk.

"We don't need to demonise [Mr Yanukovych's party] because these weak and quite vulnerable people don't have enough weight for a counter-revolution," Ms Tymoshenko said, describing the current government as a post-revolution "disease" phase preceding the birth of a "healthy" new state.

But the EU is keeping a more open mind on Mr Yanukovych for now, with the European Commission and member states waiting to see if his careful mix of pro-Russia and pro-EU rhetoric will translate into gradual integration with the EU at the same time as more stable energy relations with Russia.

"There has been a shift in Yanukovych [from his Kuchma days], not a huge shift, but a shift nevertheless and the EU should keep close ties with him to encourage this," a senior Czech diplomat stated. "There is understanding, especially in the new member states, that it is hard to cut ties with the old administration too quickly."

Yanukovych the pragmatist
"When I met Mr Yanukovych [who has come to Brussels twice since March] he talked to me as a euro-pragmatic man," external relations commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner told EUobserver, adding "Maybe there is not the same speed of [pro-EU] reforms as before in Ukraine, but the country is in a very complicated situation."

Even the more hawkish US, widely credited with helping orchestrate the 2004 revolution, is keeping in with Mr Yanukovych for now. "We have pledged to work with any freely elected government in Ukraine," a US diplomat stated, adding "the US sees Ukraine in [NATO] in future, but how it gets there is up to the people of Ukraine."

Kiev-based think-tank the International Centre for Policy Studies (ICPS) - which helps Brussels draft its policies on Ukraine - also believes Mr Yanukovych "will support further integration with the EU and cooperate on security issues", saying the WTO legislation might still go through this month and calling Ms Tymoshenko's early election forecast "unrealistic."

On the test case of support for separatists in Moldova's Trasndniestria region, Mr Yanukovych has so far taken the pro-EU and anti-Russia line of working with EU border monitors to stem black market exports, but has also raised EU eyebrows by closing a key bridge on the Dniester river forcing Moldovan goods trains to go through separatist turf.

No angels in Kiev
Meanwhile, there are no parties or orange banners in Kiev's Independence Square on Wednesday (22 November) - two years after 250,000 people peacefully overthrew the repressive regime of Mr Kuchma and his then president Viktor Yanukovych in one of the biggest political events in eastern Europe since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Mr Yanukovych - freely re-elected as prime minister this March - today has approval ratings of over 20 percent, while dioxin-scarred Orange Revolution icon, president Viktor Yushchenko, has just 15 percent after a series of top-level corruption scandals and infighting in the Orange camp.

Major issues - such as who ordered the murder of opposition journalist Georgy Gongadze in 2000 and who poisoned Mr Yushchenko in 2004 - remain unsolved as the Orange politicians cut deals with oligarchs and a civil service full of Kuchma-era staff, while the romance of November 2004 drains away.

"There are no angels in Kiev," an EU diplomat said, commenting on the current political scene. "People are mainly interested in economic growth, and by and large they care much less about [foreign policy issues such as ] NATO membership," the ICPS added.

ORANGE ORDER IN THE GREAT WHITE NORTH ..
Canada’s storm troopers of the Tories revisited
Contributed by Randall White
Monday, 14 November 2005
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc01.jpg
With all the current talk about old and new Canadas, it was intriguing to spend a grey November Saturday at an almost colourful history conference in the University of Toronto’s traditionally Catholic St. Michael’s College. The unlikely subject was "The Orange Order in Canada." The Orange Order, in the apt formula of Donald MacRaild from Victoria University in New Zealand, was both a legendary "anti-Catholic club," and a more admirable "socio-economic network," in the now vanished old British North America and similar places elsewhere.

For added amusement, the November 2005 conference in Toronto was held on the 400th anniversary of Guy Fawkes’s foiled Gunpowder Plot in the United Kingdom — when at least some Catholics tried to blow up the Protestant English Parliament. As several speakers alluded to, despite its widely acknowledged historical importance the Canadian Orange Order has not as yet been studied much by the historical profession. But this is starting to change. And that is no doubt a good thing, from various points of view.

The secret history of Orange Canada ...
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc02.jpg

The political historian P.B. Waite (among others) made clear some time ago that, in the 19th and earlier 20th centuries, "the Orangemen" were "the storm troopers of the Tories" in Canadian politics. But like other practitioners of his craft, he was perhaps still a little too ashamed of the Orange Order in Canada to go into all this in much further detail.

Part of the difficulty was that until recently the original Orange Order across the sea was still adding fuel to the flames of the tribal troubles in Northern Ireland. The embers of these fires still sometimes seem more alive than they ought to be. But the flames themselves have lately subsided. And that is probably part of the new context that made it possible for St. Michael’s College to host a conference about the old Canadian Orangeism, on November 5, 2005.

The official arrival of the new multicultural Canada, in the early 21st century age of Adrienne Clarkson and then Michaelle Jean, at Rideau Hall in Ottawa, probably helped make the conference possible too. (Along, it would seem, with some fresh transatlantic funding interest, opened up by such present-day British historians as Linda Colley?) In Canada there no longer appears to be any real danger that just talking about the old Orange Order will somehow bring its worst bad habits back to life.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc03.gif
It is true that a Toronto Globe and Mail online poll for Sunday, November 6, 2005 showed 72% of more than 28,000 respondents answering Yes to the question: "Are riots like the ones seen in Paris this week likely ever to occur in Canada?" Newer versions of many of the forms of human conflict which the Orange Order once worked so hard to enflame are still alive and well enough even in the new multicultural Canada — as in other parts of the global village today.

Who knows exactly where the challenges of coping with these new versions of old cultural, social, and theological antagonisms will eventually lead Canada (and the neighbouring giant in the United States, or Australia, New Zealand, Canada’s first European mother country of France, and so forth)? Yet no at all politically serious voices nowadays are urging that the kinds of remedies once proposed by the Orange Order in Canada any longer make sense for anyone.

One proof for all this was the 2005 Guy Fawkes Day conference at St. Michael’s College itself. It was agreeably ironic that Toronto’s most eminent Catholic educational institution hosted such a fundamentally charitable autopsy of a sinister anti-Catholic scourge from days gone by. And there was good humour on all sides. Laughing at the past can no doubt be a healthy activity in its own right. And there is nowadays much to laugh about, respectfully enough, in the past of the Orange Order in Canada (even if some of it does involve the old African American tradition of "laughing to keep from crying").

"The International Context of Canadian Orangeism"
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc04.gif

The best way to convey the main thrusts of the conference is to quickly sketch the presentations made by its nine (or 10 or even 11) different speakers. Social historian Donald MacRaild from New Zealand was first up, with a report on "The Associationalism of the Orange Diaspora."

The Orange Order began in Northern Ireland in 1795. In the 19th century it spread to assorted British possessions overseas, along with the (Scots-) Irish Protestant migrants whose narrow ideals for a growing English-speaking world it embodied. MacRaild also stressed that the Orange Order was an essentially working-class movement, as well as a kind of secret society.

Strangely enough, on some views, it was a largely right-wing working-class movement, fiercely anti-Catholic and loyal to the Protestant British Crown. It supplied storm troopers for the conservative Tory party politically. But it was equally a socio-economic support network for working people, at a time when governments, trade unions, and the private insurance industry provided even less mass economic security than they do now.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc05.jpg
(There are as yet still vague pieces of evidence about how, in 20th century Canada, a few more politically radical Orangemen would finally go on to help form the left-wing Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, and its New Democratic Party successor. And the history of the old Orange Order might even have some slight wider North American interest today, when some sort of new right-wing working-class movement, with strong religious overtones, is apparently doing a lot to prop up the Republican Party of George W. Bush in the USA.)

Eric Kaufmann, who followed Donald MacRaild, teaches in Birbeck College at the University of London. But his voice soon betrayed his North American origins. A self-confessed social scientist, he presented an assortment of intriguing statistical evidence on "The Orange Order in Ontario, Newfoundland, Scotland, and Northern Ireland." One of his charts dramatically showed how Canadian Orangeism peaked after the First World War, in the early 1920s. (At this point there were more than twice as many Orangemen in Canada as in the United Kingdom.)

James McConnel from the University of Ulster rounded out the first part of the presentations with a paper called "Remembering the 5th: Nineteenth-Century Commemorations of the Gunpowder Plot in Canada, Ireland and the Dominions." Official commemorations by law of the foiled terrorist act of 1605 against the Protestant English Parliament had ended in 1859 in the United Kingdom. But the loyal Orangemen overseas were still vigorously celebrating Guy Fawkes Day during modern Canada’s confederation era of the 1860s.

"Toronto: The Belfast of Canada"
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc06.jpg

The theory and practice of Orangeism eventually made inroads in almost all parts of what is now Canada, but it was more important in some parts than others. Most urbane Torontonians today do not warm to the thought that the Orange Order in Canada was arguably most important in earlier incarnations of their city (including the one of which a visiting Charles Dickens once said: "the rabid Toryism of Toronto is, I speak seriously, appalling"). But this is nonetheless true.

During the first half of the 19th century both Green working-class Irish Catholics and Orange working-class Irish Protestants settled in the rising city on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario, at the foot of an ancient aboriginal canoe portage to the wide open spaces of the Canadian Northwest. And they brought their traditions of conflict in the old world to the vast and rugged northern North American wilderness.

So, after the lunch break at the November 2005 St. Michael’s College conference, urban historian Brian Clarke from the University of Toronto re-started the proceedings with a talk on "Religious Riot as Pastime: Orangemen, Parades, and Public Life in Victorian Toronto." He described how during the first generation of the modern Canadian confederation rival local groups of Green and Orange young men, literally numbering in the thousands, recurrently rioted and fought each other on at least a select few city streets — as a form of manly public recreation.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc07.jpg
The height of this activity, Clarke reported, was in the 1870s, when by his count 14 such recreational riots took place. By the late 1890s public pressure, aided and abetted by a growing local police force, had largely put an end to the pastime.

The adult Orange Order, which also had a strong temperance streak, did not approve of the drinking habits of many Orange youths involved. And the local Irish Catholic minority, whose presence so incensed all Orangemen, was taking up an increasingly smaller proportion of the growing city’s population. Brian Clarke does not feel that the epithet "Belfast of Canada," with which some once tried to summarize late 19th century Toronto, makes all that much sense.

The next speaker was William Jenkins, an urban geographer from York University in Toronto. His talk was called "Mapping local and transnational dimensions of Orangeism in early twentieth-century Toronto." He pointed to various geographic clusters of the city’s old Orange culture, such as the east-end neighbourhood along Gerrard Street west of Coxwell Avenue, now home to a "Little India" commercial strip, as well as the remnants of an old Orange lodge.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc08.jpg
Jenkins also suggested that at least some sides of Brian Clarke’s earlier Orange youth culture were still around after the First World War. And culturally aggressive Toronto Orange parades on the 12th of July remained big things in the 1920s. (They were not exactly riotous, but their essential harsh message was that this city, and this country, belonged to White Anglo-Saxon Protestants. And you better believe it, whoever you were.)

In theory, the parades on the 12th of July commemorated an ancient Protestant victory in Ireland, at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690. In the early 20th century, William Jenkins also reported, many Toronto Orangemen were still staunchly opposed to home rule for the Irish Catholic majority in the homeland across the sea. (It finally arrived anyway in 1922. But there is still much interest in newer transnational political conflicts in Toronto today. Note, e.g., the early 21st century Chinese Torontonians who support Falun Gong, and are staunchly opposed to the current repressive policy against this movement in the People’s Republic of China, across another sea.)

"Orangeism and Confederation"
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc09.jpg

As noted, if Toronto was the place where Orange Canada reached the height of its historical influence, it was far from the only part of the country where the Order carried public weight and heft. Orangeism was also prominent in many parts of Southern Ontario, in Newfoundland and the Maritime Provinces, in the new Western Canada, and even, in certain ways at least, in Quebec.

At the St. Michael’s College conference David A. Wilson from the University of Toronto took up this last theme, in a talk called "‘Orange Influences of the Right Kind’: D’Arcy McGee, Orangeism and the Confederation of Canada 1867." This focused on the story of Thomas D’Arcy McGee, who after assorted adventures elsewhere wound up as an unusual Irish Catholic conservative politician in Montreal. Here he ardently embraced John A. Macdonald’s and Georges Etienne Cartier’s campaign for a new monarchical confederation of the British North American provinces, in the 1860s era of the American Civil War.

There are various strange byways in the career of Darcy McGee, up to and including his assassination in 1868 by an Irish Catholic revolutionary in Ottawa. According to David Wilson’s wife, the greatest mystery about McGee is why someone hadn’t assassinated him much earlier. But what Wilson himself stressed in his talk on November 5, 2005 was how the Irish Catholic McGee’s Canadian experience, in the middle of the 19th century, ultimately gave him a certain respect for what he called "Orange influences of the right kind."
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc10.jpg
The already diverse Macdonald-Cartier "Liberal Conservative" party, that did so much to establish the new Canadian confederation of 1867, drew on an exotic mixture of popular support. It included both Macdonald’s Orange Protestant storm troopers of the Tories in the rest of Canada, and Cartier’s French Catholic Bleus in Quebec. In the midst of this challenging political alliance at least some parts of the Orange Order moderated their anti-Catholicism, in the larger interest of a new Canada that had some kind of room for both English and French. (As well as the larger conservative interest of what Cartier called "the monarchical principle," and Macdonald and his Orange supporters saw as the United Empire and the British Crown).

In this sense it could be said that Canadian Orangeism played an important role in establishing the Canadian confederation of 1867. And, strangely enough again, the role would be revived, in a somewhat different form, when Newfoundland finally completed the modern Canadian political project by joining the confederation at last, more than 80 years later.

At the St. Michael’s College conference the last point here was taken up by John Fitzgerald, from Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland, in a talk called "The Orange Order and the Confederation of Newfoundland and Canada, 1949." As Fitzgerald urged, the story of how Newfoundland finally joined Canada in the middle of the 20th century is still not well known in Canada at large, or anywhere else outside Newfoundland.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc11.jpg
Historically as well, if there was one part of Canada today where Orangeism was once almost as influential as it was in earlier incarnations of Toronto, it was probably Newfoundland. This was partly because The Rock was also home to a very large Catholic minority (more than 40% of the population at the end of the Second World War). And perhaps because the Newfoundland Catholic hierarchy still saw English Canada as a place that would only boost the weight of the local Orangemen, it spoke out against joining the original British dominion in the late 1940s.

In any case, it took two referendums in 1948 to bring Newfoundland into the confederation at last, and the result of the second vote was close. Sensing this beforehand, the confederate supporters finally pulled out all the stops and "played the Orange card," which proved pleased to be played. In the end, John Fitzgerald suggested, there are still those who urge that "every right-thinking Protestant went out and voted against the Catholics." The result was that the Canadian confederate cause won by a whisker — in "one of the last flourishes of traditional Orange political power" in the old British North America.

"Monarchism and Modernism"
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc12.gif

By this point in the afternoon recurrent ironic laughter from the lively 21st century audience had been punctuating the St. Michael’s College conference for some time. And the next speaker, Ian Radforth from the University of Toronto, who spoke on "Orangeism and Monarchy in Canada," heightened the trend.

Radforth’s main story was that the Orange Order in Canada believed fervently in a united British empire, that was staunchly loyal to what is still legally the Protestant British monarchy today. But the British Crown and its evolving official establishment in northern North America never altogether welcomed the support that the storm troopers of the Tories were so eager to provide. As a case in point, Radforth explored the great torments that the Orange Order in what is now Ontario induced in the young Prince of Wales’s royal visit to British North America in 1860.

The Orangemen in what was then officially known as Canada West were very eager to show their loyalty to the British monarchy, by parading in their full regalia and erecting triumphal Orange arches in the rising cities, towns, and villages north of the Great Lakes, under which the young prince might pass in splendor. But the high-minded officials of the Colonial Office across the sea, who were escorting His Royal Highness, were all too aware that northern North America was already a quite diverse country, with sharp ethnic and religious tensions (starting but not ending with the French Catholics in Canada East). And they were determined not to officially associate the royal family from far-away Buckingham Palace with the local Orange Order.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc13.gif
The result was recurrent incidents in which the visiting royal party approached particular pioneer settlements, only to notice gathering hordes of welcoming Orangemen in the distance. At this point the royal party would turn away from its destination — at least until the public spaces had been cleared of friendly Orange demonstrators. The Orangemen themselves were of course not pleased. And the whole process quickly became too much for John A. Macdonald, who had begun as the popular local political representative on the royal tour. Early on Macdonald sought refuge at a friendly tavern in his home town of Kingston, CW, where he is said to have remained for the rest of the young prince’s official visit.

(It is even today not too much of a secret of Canadian history that Macdonald, who would go on to become the modern 1867 confederation’s founding first prime minister, was a confirmed alcoholic. But his bad habits become more understandable as you learn about the vast human difficulties involved in keeping together his and George Etienne Cartier’s exotic political alliance, which finally made the new confederation possible. After Macdonald passed from the scene in the 1890s, his Conservatives could find no equally alcoholic English Canadian successor. And the Liberals under Wilfrid Laurier from Quebec took over the historic mantle of Canada’s natural governing party. As just one sign of how the human difficulties persisted even under the Liberals, when Pierre Trudeau became prime minister of Canada in 1968, he pointedly moved into Cartier’s and not Macdonald’s old office, on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.)
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc14.jpg
With Ian Radforth’s talk having brought the audience to the very edge of its 21st century sense of humour, the formal presentations at the St. Michael’s College conference ended with two linked talks by Cecil Houston of the University of Windsor in Ontario, and W.J. Smyth from the National University of Ireland at Maynooth. Houston and Smyth are the authors of a much admired book of 1980 called The Sash Canada Wore — which did a great deal to establish present-day scholarly interest in the history of the Orange Order in the old British North America.

The collective final assignment of Houston and Smyth at the conference was to speak on "The Faded Sash: Orangeism in Canada, 1920–2005." Houston began with some remarks acknowledging that the traditional political power of the Orange Order in the old British North America peaked around 1920. He then quickly went on to note that the Order nonetheless remains extant even today, in much more modest and rather different forms. And his own genial personality spoke eloquently for its kinder and gentler side.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc15.jpg
(There was an Italian "Garibaldi Lodge" of the Orange Order in Toronto as early as the 1930s. According to one source on the Internet, there are still more than a dozen Orange lodges in Ontario among the modern Six Nations Iroquois — who were officially declared "British subjects" as long ago as the 1713 Treaty of Utrecht, among the European powers of the day. Internationally, according to another Internet source: "There are currently about 20 Orange lodges in west Africa and membership at a number of youth lodges in Ghana is increasing, which seems to augur well for the future of the Order in that area. The revival in Orangeism has coincided with the return of democracy to Ghana." A late 19th century Ontario Orangeman would no doubt find all this astounding, and probably somewhat befuddling as well.)

W.J. Smyth carried on the collective concluding remarks with some further evidence about Orangeism in Canada today. There are, e.g., only four Orange lodges within the boundaries of the old 1920s city of Toronto in 2005. Saskatchewan, which once ranked second to Ontario in provincial distributions of lodge numbers, now has none.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc16.jpg
At the same time, W.J. Smyth is a former president of the National University of Ireland at Maynooth ("situated approximately 15 miles from Dublin in the heart of the Kildare countryside"). But in his youthful academic travels he taught for a time at the University of Toronto, in the 1970s. And he genially took some polite exception to Brian Clarke’s earlier view that "the Belfast of Canada" was not in the end a very apt characterization of the city of Toronto in some of its earlier incarnations.

Even after it reached the height of its influence around 1920, Smyth quite accurately stressed, the Orange Order played a dominant role in Toronto municipal politics down to the late 1950s. In the first half of the 20th century there was what amounted to an Orange political machine in Toronto local government. If you wanted to do any sort of business with the city, even in this era, you were well advised to have some Orange connections. Smyth cited a 1949 article from a Toronto magazine of the day, which urged that even though Orangeism as a mass phenomenon was "now rather moth-eaten and pathetic," city hall continued to reflect its traditional local political power.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc17.jpg
The grip of the old Orange machine on Toronto local politics did not finally start to end until the election of the city’s first Jewish mayor, Nathan Phillips, as "Mayor of all the People" in 1955. Mayor Phillips’s tenure in office lasted until 1962. His name now adorns the public square in front of the new city hall that was finally in place by 1967 — the locally buoyant and freshly optimistic centennial year of Macdonald and Cartier’s Canadian confederation of 1867.

Ever since then, you might say, modern Toronto, along with much of modern Canada at large, has done its level best to forget about the Orange Order’s old "public power" (in Smyth’s words), that flourished in earlier eras. You might say too that over the past half century this instinct has made a lot of sense. Yet what the concluding remarks of both Houston and Smyth at the St. Michael’s College conference finally seemed to be saying, between the lines, was that nowadays, in the year 2005, perhaps it is time to start remembering the old public power of the Orange Order in Canada — in some measured but serious enough way at least, as what it really was: a part of the country’s real history which still has its real echoes today, which still or even increasingly need to be dealt with constructively in public life. And the ultimate argument here is simple and very well known. Those who forget their history are condemned to repeat it.

Further research down the road ...
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc18.jpg

All good academic conferences end with musings on the implications of what has just been discussed for further research within the scholarly community. We live in an age of massive and rampant specialization, and everyone is finally most concerned about their own specialty — which is what they must live with from day to day.

The November 5, 2005 St. Michael’s College conference on the Orange Order in Canada, I think, must finally be judged a very good academic conference — even, to some tastes at least, much better than most. And a little after 5 o’clock in the evening the current college principal, historian Mark G. McGowan, brought everything to a close with some suitable musings on what aspects of the old Orangeism it might be useful for historians of one sort or another to study next.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc19.jpg
He said many interesting things, but two of them seem to have stood out most in my own mind. First, he returned to a question from the audience, asked earlier in the day, about connections between the Orange Order and the Ku Klux Klan in Canada. It had been asked by a gentleman who had traveled all the way from New Brunswick to attend the conference in Toronto, and who had brought some 1920s newspaper clippings that reported on the Orangemen and the Klan in the Maritime Provinces. Mark McGowan noted that in his Orange research, other such linkages could occasionally be noted in other parts of the country too. This was another subject worth further exploration.

It was also a nice antidote to taking the general good humour and ironic laughter that accompanied the conference altogether too seriously. It does broadly seem that, through no real fault or virtue of anyone in particular, various aspects of the Canadian experience in the 19th and earlier 20th centuries worked to moderate the Orange Order — and even to somewhat expand its congenitally narrow view of the wider English-speaking future. And this probably has something to do with the comparative ease of the subsequent journey to the new multicultural Canada of today.

Only a few years ago now, however, the present-day Torontonian Tonya Lee Williams — best known for her portrayal of an African American princess on the TV soap opera The Young and the Restless, in the USA — spoke in a local TV interview about "the very quiet racism we have in Canada." A historian concerned to explain this phenomenon might also want to say something about the Orange Order (as it used to be, at any rate, if not as it is now, among its 20 Orange lodges in west Africa, or its Irqouois lodges in Canada’s most populous province of Ontario).

Mark McGowan’s second (and somewhat related) most striking thought came, as best as I can recall, at the very end of his very final remarks. He noted that most of the people at the November 2005 conference came from a generally similar older background in Canada, and other parts of the old empire on which the sun has now finally set. (Looking around at the audience you could even imagine that many probably descended from either old Green Irish Catholic or old Orange Irish Protestant families, getting along at last.) But it will be interesting, McGowan suggested, to see how younger historians from some of the newer old-world cultural backgrounds in Canada today finally see the history of the old Orange Order.
http://www.counterweights.ca/cms/images/stories/rooc20.jpg
There were only a very few younger people in the audience at the conference who obviously and visibly qualified for the ranks of the future historians to which Mark McGowan was alluding. But there were just enough to make this seem exactly the right note on which to end.

Randall White is the author of a number of books, including Ontario 1610–1985: A Political and Economic History, and (with Jeanne MacDonald and Nadine Stoikoff) Toronto Women, Changing Faces, 1900–2000:A Photographic Journey. The proceedings of the November 5, 2005 conference at St. Michael’s College in Toronto will be published in 2006 by Four Courts Press, Dublin, under the title The Orange Order in Canada.

Note the map grid of the Globe on the left, with heavy equator line, and the Globe on RIGHT, un-maked(un-marred), with Australia in the centre.

Recently, on Australia's ABC Lateline, the presenter sat with a, sort of, map of the world behind him, but with Australia on his RIGHT and Italy/The Mediterranean on his left.

Fans of the old British TV show, The Prisoner, would have also noticed this focusing on Globes and World maps, featuring Australia.

In the following quote, my notes are in;(RED)

There is only one country that may guard the pope and that is switserland.
Switserland is virgo our "lady currency" so world bank guards the pope!
(So is it only by 'chance', that Australia produces 65% of the World's Bank Notes?)

The swiss guard show their shield to the pope.Remember the eight spoked star on the mantle-piece? Well here you se it again so same room. But you see it on the floor aswell. That is really a big one hey?:

Here the flag in more detail.Notice the letter M on the coffin? In the centre the shield of the commandant of the guards:

The commandant his name is: Elmar Theodor Mäder so they made the shield for EL=saturn MAR=venus (green).Yellow=generating principle:

These guards are always comming from a "canton"(kind of provence) and the canton's symbol of the guard is this:

http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/5538/fascesvenusnw2.gif (http://imageshack.us)

And they say this about it:
Green was at the time the colour of revolution and freedom, and sometimes referred to as the "light green of the new order". If the fasces were three-dimentional there would be eight staffs, but only five are visible.
(and 3 of the 'Horns' that fell, would be replaced by the 'Horn' that made war against the saints)

What about that letter M on the coffin?:

http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/5839/papakistmetmlf7.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

The letter M is the V of venus between two pillars,it is the 13th letter so "luke skywalker",it is the sigma of seth(saturn) and it's the trinity of the whole enterprise.
(and as in "The Birth of Venus", 'she' is an Island, between the 'Pillar' Continants)

http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/672/birthofvenusct0.jpg
You will note the Orange and Green, but what screams out to me, is that the Covering Orange can walk from the land (anciently, when the Land was dividing and a "REED"/shallow sea was between the still close South Americas and The Land "GIRT" by sea in the centre of the Pacific), across land to 'The Pearl', in the middle of the seas, while there is no land, that the Green is flying/sailing from having been long ago separated from that ancient Super-Continant.
Still both 'sides'/colours are coming to her. In the beginning and in the end.

My God, can you read, consider and reach your own conclusions, or do you need "Brothers" higher up the Pyramid to tell you what to think and how to attack those who expose them?

It's a very long thread, covering all of history, over the whole world.
Trying to sumarize such a broad subject, only leads to bickering over 'loose bricks' and ignoring the bloody great structure, but Secret Society members know this and that's why they love 'loose bricking', while condemning Christians (falsely) for 'telling' people what to think and do.

Those who choose ignorance as their shield from the ugly truths of life, will follow your lead, and wait for an easy to swallow answer.

Those with the heart and mind to dilligently search for understanding, will find many worthwhile links and ideas to add to their own study.

Obviously, organising the world's population to fall in step with the NWO, is not a simple task, and requires countless 'justifiable' diversions to stop people 'clicking', as to what's being done to them, so I suppose I could sumarise to the the extent of stating that Service Clubs and Charities, are the wolves dens, decorated as sheepfolds.

Who does Senator Paul Findlay say runs Washington?

Who can destroy an American boat off it's coast and get away with it?

Who have religious texts dedicated to wiping out lower castes of humans and ruling the earth like gods?

Who have religious texts preaching the over throw of throne and alter?

Who financed Bolshevism?

Who financed Nazism?

Who financed the man who financed Rockefella?

Let me guess; Those who say they are JEWS, but do lie?

What about those who say they are NOT Jews but do lie?

What about the rest of the squabbling "FAMILY"?

Among Israel, Biblically, you have smooth, hairy, brown, white, big and strong, small and weak, and all mixed in the same families.

It was never the look, colour, strength, intelligence etc. that separated people, untill relatively recent human history, but the SPIRIT.

And brothers of the same fathers, have been each others biggest rivals, throughout all time.

Lucifer, Christ
Cain, Able
Ishmael, Issac
Esau (hairy Red haired), Jacob (Israel),
so why is it the 'Scots', those hairy red haired people always bitching about how their ruling rights are stolen, while they scatter themselves all over the world stiring the shit pot, never make it on the "Blame List" with the Jews, Arabs, Blacks and Whites?

Esau got well robbed, of THE Crown. You don't think that family ever went, "Oh well, that's forgotten."?

Where ever there is war and strife in the world, you'll find a Scots/Frenchman, plotting in the back rooms.

Have you looked at just how many Scots run the UK?

But it's hard enough to follow the mix of families from Noah to Jacob, let alone ALL the countless mixing and mingling of all 'blood' to today, so folk will always throw, "Yeah but's", at any association you name, as they rightly should, because even more so now, it's the SPIRIT of the man that's Called Out, not the land, colour or anything else he was born to.

But still, family lines do have pre-dispositions to certain traits along with "Traditions" to encourage them, and The Orange Order is the baby of those 'mighty, red haired, hunters'.

Prince of Orange

Prince of Orange is a title of nobility, originally associated with the principality of Orange in southern France. It may be carried by members of the House of Orange-Nassau and the House of Hohenzollern, and is currently carried by Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands (Orange-Nassau) and Georg Friedrich, Prince of Prussia (Hohenzollern).

Contents
* 1 The Principality of Orange
* 2 The Princes of Orange
* 3 Bearers of the title (with dates):
o 3.1 as sovereign prince of Orange
o 3.2 as a personal title
o 3.3 as Heir Apparent

The Principality of Orange

The title originally referred to the sovereign principality of Orange in the valley of Rhone in southern France, which was a property of the House of Orange (and from 1544 of the House of Orange-Nassau). Because Orange was a fief in the Holy Roman Empire, in its Kingdom of Burgundy, the title contained feudal rights and that sovereignty which German principalities came to enjoy. The last descendant of the original princes, René of Nassau, left the principality to his cousin William the Silent, who was not a descendent of the original Orange family. In 1673, Louis XIV of France annexed all territory of the principality as part of the war actions against the stadtholder William III of Orange, who later became king William III of England and Scotland).

Because William III died without legitimate children, the principality was regarded as having been inherited by his closest cognatic relative, Frederick I of Prussia, who ceded the principality (at least the lands, but not formally the title) to France in 1713 (France supported his claim, of course). In this way the territory of the principality lost its feudal and secular privileges and became a part of France. The title remains in the Hohenzollern royal family (who reigned in Prussia until 1918) and could be used even today by them; it was also bestowed by the French king upon Louis de Mailly, whose family still holds the title today.

An agnatic relative of William III, Johan Willem Friso of Nassau, who also by female line descended from William the Silent, was designated the heir to the princes of Orange in the Netherlands, by the last will of William III, and several of his descendants became stadtholders. They claimed the principality of Orange on the basis of agnatic inheritance (similar to that of William the Silent inheriting from his cousin René, though not being a descendant of original princes of Orange), and also on basis of the testament of William III. France never allowed them to obtain anything of the principality itself (located in southern France), but they nevertheless assumed the title. From that derivation of the title comes the tradition of later stadtholders of the Netherlands, and the present-day royal family of the Netherlands, also holding this title.

The Princes of Orange

William the Silent (Willem I) was the first Stadtholder of the Dutch Republic and the most significant representative of the House of Orange in the Netherlands. He was count of a small German county, part of the of Nassau and heir to some of his father's fiefs in Holland. William obtained more extensive lands in the Netherlands (the lordship of Breda and several other dependencies) as an inheritance from his cousin René, Prince of Orange, when William was only 11 years old. After William's assassination in 1584, the title passed to his son Philip (who was Catholic and was long imprisoned), and then to his second son Maurice, and finally to his youngest son, Frederick Henry.

The title of Prince of Orange became synonymous with the stadtholder of the Netherlands.

William III (Willem III) was also King of England, Scotland and Ireland, and his legacy is commemorated annually by the Protestant Orange Order.

William and Mary had no legitimate children. After his death in 1702, the Dutch contender to his title was his heir in the Netherlands, John William Friso of Nassau, who assumed the title. William's testament designated Friso to inherit the title. The other contender was the King of Prussia, who based his claim to the title on the will of Frederick Henry, William III's grandfather. Eventually, a compromise was reached by which both families were entitled to bear the title of Prince of Orange. By then, it was no more than a title because the principality had been annexed by Louis XIV of France.

Friso's line held it as their principal title during the 1700s. The French army drove them away from Holland in 1795, but on their return, the Prince of Orange became the first sovereign of the Netherlands in 1813.

After the establishment of the current Kingdom of the Netherlands in 1815, the title was partly reconstitutionalized in a bill and granted to the eldest son of King William I of the Netherlands, Prince William, who later became William II of the Netherlands. Since 1983, the heir to the Dutch throne, whether male or female, bears the title Prince or Princess of Orange. The first-born child of the heir to the Dutch throne bears the title Hereditary Prince or Princess of Orange. Currently, Princess Catharina-Amalia is the Hereditary Princess of Orange. She will be the Princess of Orange once her father, Prince Willem-Alexander, is crowned King of the Netherlands.

In the 19th century the female variant of the title was also sometimes specifically granted to the heir apparent's wife. Instead of gaining the title by courtesy, it has to be granted to wives. Princess Máxima, wife of the current heir apparent, Prince Willem-Alexander, does not bear the title.

The Prince(ss) of Orange is styled "His/Her Royal Highness the Prince(ss) of Orange" (Zijne/Hare Koninklijke Hoogheid de Prins(es) van Oranje).

as sovereign prince of Orange

Until 1340, it was customary for all sons of the prince of Orange to inherit the title. Only the direct line of descent to Raimund V is shown here.

* Bertrand I of Baux (1171-1181)
* William I of Baux (1182-1218)
* Raymond I of Baux (1218-1282)
* Bertrand IV of Baux (1281-1314)
* Raymond IV of Baux (1314-1340)
* Raymond V of Baux (1340-139)

Here starts the house of House of Orange-Châlon

* Marie (1393-1417), with her husband John III of Châlon (1393-1418)
* Louis II the Good (1418-1463)
* William VII of Châlon (1463-1475)
* John II of Châlon (1475-1502)
* Philibert of Châlon (1502 - 1530)

The House of Orange-Nassau starts with

* René of Châlon (1530-1544), nephew of Philibert
* William IX, of Nassau (1544-1584), cousin of René, also Lord of Breda and count of Dillenburg, stadtholder of Holland, Zeeland etc.
* Philip William (son of William I from 1st marriage, not a stadtholder) (1584-1618)
* Maurice (son of William I from 2nd marriage), stadtholder, (1618-1625)
* Frederick Henry (son of William I from 4th marriage), stadtholder, (1625-1647)
* William II (1647-1650), stadtholder
* William III of Orange (1650-1702), stadtholder, and from 1688 King of England and Scotland
* John William Friso (descendant in male line of William the Silent's brother, and in female line also of William the Silent himself) (1702-1711), stadtholder of Friesland; he was opposed by Frederick I of Prussia (1702-1713), a senior descendant in female line from William the Silent, who ceded his claims to the lands of Orange to France in 1713.

as a personal title

* William IV (1711-1751), stadtholder 1747-51
* William V (1751-1806), stadtholder 1751-95
* William VI (1806-1815), 1813 he returned to Holland and became the first King of the Netherlands.

as Heir Apparent

* William (William II) (1815-1840, title dropped on accession to the throne)
* William (William III) (1840-1849, title dropped on accession to the throne)
* William, eldest son of Willem III from his 1st marriage (1849-1879)
* Alexander, second son of William III from his 1st marriage (1879-1884)
* Crown Prince William-Alexander (1980-)

And so the current Heir Apparent is the 15th bearer of the title in the House of Orange-Nassau.

Yes, Theboy, it kind of makes you wonder "WHY", 'certain' people are being such 'cock-heads' about discusing the Power of the Orange Order, and the 'Orange Line', in the world TODAY.

But here's another historic view of the solid foundation of those CURRENTLY running the world;

Mary Henrietta Stuart (fragment of a 1641 painting by Antoon van Dijck)

Mary, Princess Royal and Princess of Orange-Nassau (4 November 1631 – 24 December 1660) was the eldest daughter of King Charles I of England, Scotland, and Ireland and his queen, Henrietta Maria. She was the wife of Willem II, Prince of Orange-Nassau (27 May 1626–6 November 1650) and the mother of King William III of England, Scotland, and Ireland (14 November 1650–8 May 1702). Mary Stuart or Mary of Orange, as she was also known, was the first daughter of a British Sovereign to hold the title Princess Royal.

Early life

Mary Henrietta Stuart was born at St. James's Palace, London. Charles I designated her Princess Royal in 1642, thus establishing the tradition that the eldest daughther of the British Sovereign might bear this title. The title came into being when Queen Henrietta Maria, the daughter of King Henri IV of France wished to imitate the way the eldest daughter of the French king was styled (Madame Royale). Until that time, the eldest daughters of English and Scottish kings were variously titled Lady or Princess (The younger daughters of British Sovereigns were not consistently titled princesses of Great Britain and styled Royal Highness until the ascension of George I in 1714).

Marriage

Her father wished the Princess Royal to marry a son of Philip IV, king of Spain, while her first cousin, Karl Ludwig, the Elector Palatine, was also a suitor for her hand. Both proposals fell through and she was bethrothed to Willem, the son and heir of Frederick Henry, Prince of Orange-Nassau and Stadholder of the United Provinces, and of Amalia of Solms-Braunfels. The marriage took place on 2 May 1641 at the Chapel Royal, Whitehall Palace, London, but was not consummated for several years due to the bride's young age. However, in 1642, Mary crossed over to Holland with her mother, Queen Henrietta Maria, and in 1644, as the daughter-in-law of the stadtholder, she began to take her place in public life.

Later life

In March 1647, her husband, Willem II, succeeded his father as stadholder. However, in November 1650, just after his attempt to capture Amsterdam from his political opponents, he died of smallpox. The couple's only child, Willem (later William III), was born a few days later. The Dowager Princess of Orange was obliged to share the guardianship of her infant son, with his grandmother Amelia, the widow of Frederick Henry, and with Frederick William, the elector of Brandenburg. She was unpopular with the Dutch due to her sympathies with her family, the Stuarts; and at length, public opinion having been further angered by the hospitality that she showed to her brothers, the exiled Charles II and the Duke of York (later James II), she was forbidden to receive her relatives. From 1654 to 1657, the princess passed most of her time away from Holland. In 1657 she became regent on behalf of her son for the principality of Orange, but the difficulties of her position led her to implore the assistance of King Louis XIV of France; the French king answered by seizing Orange himself.

Death

The restoration of Charles II in Britain greatly enhanced the position of the Dowager Princess and her son in Holland. In September 1660, she returned to England. She died of smallpox at Whitehall Palace, London and was buried in Westminster Abbey.

This very short bio, should drive home, the great importance to the Ruling Elite, of keeping the Orange Order alive and influencing world events.

Johan Willem Friso, Prince of Orange
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/8a/JohanWillemFriso.jpg/180px-JohanWillemFriso.jpg
Johan Willem Friso

Johan Willem Friso (4 August 1687 -14 July 1711) was stadholder of Friesland until his untimely death by drowning in the Hollands Diep in 1711. He was the son of Prince Henry Casimir II of Nassau-Diez and a member of the House of Nassau and through the testamentary dispositions of William III became the progenitor of the new line of the house of Orange-Nassau.

After the death of William III of Orange the legitimate direct male line of William the Silent (the 2nd House of Orange) was extinct and Johan Willem Friso, senior descendant in male line from William the Silent's brother and a descendant in female line from William the Silent, claimed the succession as stadtholder in all provinces held by Willem III. This was denied to him by the republican faction in the Netherlands.

The five provinces over which William III ruled — Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Gelderland and Overijssel — all suspended the office of Stadtholder after William III's death. The remaining two provinces — Friesland and Groningen — were never governed by William III, and continued to retain a separate Stadtholder, Johan Willem Friso. He commenced the 3rd House of Orange, which continues also today in person of Beatrix of the Netherlands. His son William IV of Orange, however, later became stadtholder of all seven provinces.

Because William III's most senior heir in the female line was Frederick I of Prussia, the latter also claimed part of the inheritance (for example Lingen). Under William III's will, Friso stood to inherit the Principality of Orange. However, the Prussian King Frederick I also claimed the Principality of Orange in Rhone Valley, which he later ceded to France.

When coming of age, Johan Willem Friso became a general of Dutch troops during the War of Spanish Succession, under the command of the Duke of Marlborough, and turned out to be a competent officer. His prestige could have favoured his eventual election as a stadtholder in the 5 other provinces. However, in 1711, when traveling from the Belgian front to The Hague in connection with the law suit about the Principality of Orange, in his haste he insisted in crossing the Hollands Diep during a heavy storm. The ferry boat sunk and Johan Willem Friso drowned. His son was born six weeks after his death.

Johan Willem Friso holds the position of being an ancestor to all currently (and most formerly) reigning European royal families.

William I (William the Silent)

William I of Orange-Nassau (April 24, 1533 – July 10, 1584), also widely known as William the Silent [Dutch: Willem de Zwijger], was born in the House of Nassau, and became Prince of Orange in 1544. He was the main leader of the Dutch revolt against the Spanish that set off the Eighty Years' War and resulted in the formal independence of the United Provinces in 1648.

A wealthy nobleman, William originally served at the court of the Spanish regent. Unhappy with the lack of political power for the local nobility and the Spanish persecution of Dutch Protestants, William joined the Dutch uprising and turned against his former masters. The most influential and politically capable of the rebels, he led the Dutch to several military successes in the fight against the Spanish. Declared an outlaw by the Spanish king in 1580, he was assassinated by Balthasar Gérard (also written as 'Gerardts') in Delft at a time when William's popularity was waning.

There are several explanations for the origin of this nickname "William the Silent". The most common one is that he rarely spoke out clearly on controversial matters at the court or in public, or (by some accounts) even completely avoided speaking about such topics.[citation needed]

In the Netherlands, he is also known as the Vader des vaderlands, "Father of the fatherland", and the Dutch national anthem, the Wilhelmus, was written in his honour.

On April 13, 2005, an online searchable archive of his complete (known) correspondence was made publicly accessible by Het Instituut voor Nederlandse Geschiedenis (ING), the Institute for Dutch History.

Early life

A picture of William of Orange in his years at the court in Brussels.

William was born in the castle of Dillenburg in Nassau, present-day Germany. He was the eldest son of William, Count of Nassau and Juliana of Stolberg-Werningerode, and was raised a Lutheran. He had four younger brothers and seven younger sisters: John, Hermanna, Louis, Mary, Anna, Elisabeth, Katharine, Juliane, Magdalene, Adolf and Henry.

When his cousin, René of Châlon, Prince of Orange, died childless in 1544, the eleven-year-old William inherited all Châlon's property, including the title Prince of Orange and vast estates in the Netherlands (present-day Netherlands and Belgium). Because of his young age, Holy Roman Emperor Charles V served as the regent of the principality until William was fit to rule. However, Charles V demanded that William receive a Roman Catholic education. William was sent to Brussels to study under the supervision of Maria of Austria, the sister of Charles V and regent of the Habsburg Netherlands (Seventeen Provinces). In Brussels, he was taught foreign languages and received military and diplomatic education.[citation needed]

On 6 July 1551, he married Anna van Egmond en Buren, the wealthy heir to the lands of her father, and William earned the titles Lord of Egmond and Count of Buren. They had three children:

1. Maria (1553 – 1554);
2. Philip-William (1554 – 1618); and
3. Maria (1556 – 1616).

Later that same year, William was appointed captain in the cavalry. Favoured by Charles V, he made quick promotions, and became commander of one of the Emperor's armies at age 22. He was made a member of the Raad van State, the highest political advisory council in the Netherlands1 in 1555; the same year Charles abdicated in favour of his son, Philip II of Spain.

His wife Anna died on 24 March 1558. Later, William of Orange had a brief relationship with one Eva Elincx[citation needed], leading to the birth of their illegitimate son, Justinus van Nassau: William of Orange officially recognised him and took responsibility of his education - Justinus would become an admiral in his later years.

In 1559, Philip appointed William as the stadtholder (governor) of the provinces Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht and Burgundy, thereby greatly increasing his political power.

From politician to rebel
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ed/BattleOfHeiligerlee.jpg/180px-BattleOfHeiligerlee.jpg
The Battle of Heiligerlee, fought on 23 May 1568, is usually given as the beginning of the Eighty Years' War.

Although he never directly opposed the Spanish king, William soon became one of the most prominent members of the opposition in the Raad van State, together with Philip de Montmorency, Count of Hoorn and Lamoral, Count of Egmont. They were mainly seeking for more political power for the Dutch nobility, and complained that too many Spaniards were involved in governing the Netherlands.

William was also dissatisfied with the increasing persecution of Protestants in the Netherlands. Brought up as both a Lutheran and later a Catholic, William was very religious but still was a proponent of freedom of religion for all people. The inquisition policy in the Netherlands, carried out by Cardinal Granvelle, prime minister to the new regent Margaret of Parma(1522-1583) (natural half-sister to Philip II), increased opposition to the Spanish rule among the – then mostly Catholic – population of the Netherlands.

On 25 August 1561, William of Orange married for the second time. His new wife, Anna of Saxony, is described by contemporaries as "ugly and ill-tempered", and it is generally assumed that William married her to gain more influence in Saxony, Hesse and the Palatine[citation needed]. The couple had five children:

1. Anna (1562);
2. Anna (1563 – 1588);
3. Maurice August Philip (1564 – 1566);
4. Maurice (1567 – 1625); and
5. Emilia (1569 – 1629).

In early 1565, a large group of lesser noblemen, including William's younger brother Louis, formed the Confederacy of Noblemen. On 5 April, they offered a petition to Margaret of Austria, requesting an end to the persecution of Protestants. From August to October 1566, a wave of iconoclasm (known as the Beeldenstorm) spread through the Low Countries. Calvinists, angry with their being persecuted by the Roman Catholic Church and opposed to the Catholic images of saints (which in their eyes conflicted with the Second Commandment), destroyed statues in hundreds of churches and monasteries throughout the Netherlands.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/5/5a/Willem1.jpg/180px-Willem1.jpg
Statue of William in The Hague

Following the Beeldenstorm, unrest in the Netherlands grew, and Margaret agreed to grant the wishes of the Confederacy, provided the noblemen would help to restore order. She also allowed more important noblemen, including William of Orange, to assist the Confederacy. In late 1566, and early 1567, it became clear that the regent would not be allowed to fulfill her promises, and when several minor rebellions failed, many Calvinists (the major Protestant denomination) and Lutherans fled the country. Following the announcement that Philip II, unhappy with the situation in the Netherlands, would dispatch his loyal general Fernando Álvarez de Toledo, Duke of Alba (also known as "The Iron Duke") to restore order, William retreated to his native Nassau. He had been (financially) involved with several of the rebels.

After his arrival in August 1567, Alba established the Council of Troubles (known to the people as the Council of Blood) to judge those involved with the rebellion and the iconoclasm. William was one of the 10,000 to be summoned before the Council, but he failed to appear. He was subsequently declared an outlaw, and his properties were confiscated.

As one of the most prominent and popular politicians of the Netherlands, William of Orange emerged as the leader of an armed resistance. He financed the Watergeuzen, refugee Protestants who formed bands of corsairs and raided the coastal cities of the Netherlands (often killing Spanish and Dutch alike). He also raised an army, consisting mostly of German mercenaries to fight Alba on land. Led by his brother Louis, the army invaded the northern Netherlands in 1568. On 23 May, the army won the Battle of Heiligerlee against a Spanish army led by the stadtholder of the northern provinces, Jean de Ligne, Duke of Aremberg. Aremberg was killed in the battle, as was William's brother Adolf. Alba countered by killing a number of convicted noblemen (including the Counts of Egmont and Hoorn on 6 June), and then by leading an expedition to Groningen. There, he annihilated Louis's forces in the Battle of Jemmingen on 21 July, although Louis managed to escape. These two battles are now considered to be the start of the Eighty Years' War.

War
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5a/Prinsenvlag.svg/250px-Prinsenvlag.svg.png
The so-called Prinsenvlag (Prince's flag), based on the colours in the coat of arms of William of Orange was used by the Dutch rebels, and forms the basis of the current flag of the Netherlands.

William responded by leading a large army into Brabant, but Alba carefully avoided a confrontation, expecting the army to fall apart quickly. He proved to be right, as William lacked the money to support the army. William made several more plans to invade in the next few years, but little came of it, lacking support and money. He remained popular with the public, partially through an extensive propaganda campaign through pamphlets. One of his most important claims, with which he attempted to justify his actions, was that he was not fighting the rightful owner of the land, the Spanish king, but only the inadequate rule of the foreign regents in the Netherlands, and the presence of foreign soldiers.

On 1 April 1572 a band of Watergeuzen captured the city of Brielle, which had been left unattended by the Spanish garrison. Contrary to their normal "hit and run" tactics, they occupied the town and claimed it for the prince. This event was followed by other cities in opening their gates for the Watergeuzen, and soon most cities in Holland and Zeeland were in the hands of the rebels, notable exceptions being Amsterdam and Middelburg. The rebel cities then called a meeting of the Staten Generaal (which they were technically unqualified to do), and reinstated William as the stadtholder of Holland and Zeeland.

Concurrently, rebel armies captured cities throughout the entire country, from Deventer to Mons. William himself then advanced with his own army and marched into several cities in the south, including Roermond and Leuven. William had counted on intervention from the French Protestants (Huguenots) as well, but this plan was thwarted after the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre on 24 August, which signalled the start of a wave of violence against the Huguenots. After a successful Spanish attack on his army, William had to flee and he retreated to Enkhuizen, in Holland. The Spanish then organised countermeasures, and sacked several rebel cities, sometimes massacring their inhabitants, such as in Mechelen or Zutphen. They had more trouble with the cities in Holland, where they took Haarlem after seven months and a loss of 8,000 soldiers, and they had to give up their siege of Alkmaar.

In 1574, William's armies won several minor battles, including several naval encounters. The Spanish, now lead by Don Luis de Zúñiga y Requesens who succeeded Alva in 1573, also had their successes, and their decisive victory in the Battle of Mookerheyde on 14 April cost the lives of two of William's brothers, Louis and Henry. Requesens's armies also besieged the city of Leiden. They broke up their siege when nearby dykes were cut by the Dutch. William was very content with the victory, and established the University of Leiden, the first university in the Northern Provinces.

William married for the third time on 24 April 1575. He had his previous marriage legally disbanded in 1571, on claims of insanity of his wife Anna. Charlotte de Bourbon-Monpensier, a former French nun, was also popular with the public. Together, they had six daughters:

1. Louise Juliana (1576 – 1644), married to Frederick IV, Elector Palatine;
2. Elisabeth (1577 – 1642), married to Henri de La Tour d'Auvergne, vicomte de Turenne, duc de Bouillon;
3. Catherina Belgica (1578 – 1648); married to Count Philipp Ludwig II of Hanau-Muenzenberg
4. Charlotte Flandrina (1579 – 1640);
5. Charlotte Brabantia (1580 – 1631); and
6. Amelia Antwerpiana (1581 – 1657).

After failed peace negotiations in Breda in 1575, the war lingered on. Things looked bright for the rebels when Don Requesens died unexpectedly in early 1576, and a large group of Spanish soldiers, not having received their salary in months, deserted. While the new regent, Don John of Austria, arrived, William of Orange managed to have most of the provinces and cities sign the Pacification of Ghent, in which they declared to fight for the expulsion of Spanish troops together. However, he failed to achieve unity in matters of religion. Catholic cities and provinces would not allow freedom for Calvinists, and vice versa.

When Don John signed the Perpetual Edict in February 1577, promising to comply with the conditions of the Pacification of Ghent, it seemed that the war had been decided in favour of the rebels. However, after Don John took the city of Namur in 1577, the uprising spread throughout the entire Netherlands. Don John attempted to negotiate peace, but the prince intentionally let the negotiations fail. On 24 September 1577, he made his triumphal entry in the capital Brussels.

At the same time, Calvinist revolters grew more radical, and attempted to forbid Catholicism in their areas of control. William was opposed to this both for personal and political reasons. He desired freedom of religion, and he also needed the support of the less radical Protestants and Catholics to reach his political goals. On 6 January 1579, several southern provinces, unhappy with William's radical following, sealed the Treaty of Arras, in which they agreed to accept their regent, Alessandro Farnese, Duke of Parma (who had succeeded Don John).

Five northern provinces, later followed by most cities in Brabant and Flanders, then signed the Union of Utrecht on 23 January, confirming their unity. William was initially opposed to the Union, as he still hoped to unite all provinces. Nevertheless, he formally gave his support on 3 May. The Union of Utrecht would later become a de facto constitution, and would remain the only formal connection between the Dutch provinces until 1795.

Declaration of independence
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/68/Nicholas_Hilliard_002.jpg/180px-Nicholas_Hilliard_002.jpg
The Duke of Anjou, who had been attracted by William as the new sovereign of the Netherlands, was hugely unpopular with the public.

In spite of the renewed union, the Duke of Parma was successful in reconquering most of the southern part of the Netherlands. Because he had agreed to remove the Spanish troops from the provinces under the Treaty of Arras, and because Philip II needed them in Spain's war with Portugal, the Duke of Parma was unable to advance any further until the end of 1581.

In the mean time, William and his supporters were looking for foreign support. The prince had already sought for French assistance on several occasions, and this time he managed to gain the support of François, Duke of Anjou, brother of king Henry III of France. On 29 September 1580, the Staten Generaal (with the exception of Zeeland and Holland) signed the Treaty of Plessis-les-Tours with the Duke of Anjou. The Duke would gain the title "Protector of the Liberty of the Netherlands" and become the new sovereign. This, however, required that the Staten Generaal and William would let go of their formal support of the King of Spain, which they had maintained officially up to that moment.

On 22 July 1581, the Staten Generaal declared their decision to no longer recognise Philip II as their king, in the Oath of Abjuration. This formal declaration of independence enabled the Duke of Anjou to come to the aid of the resisters. He did not arrive until 10 February 1582, when he was officially welcomed by William in Flushing.

On March 18, the Spaniard Juan de Jáuregui attempted to assassinate William in Antwerp. Although William suffered severe injuries, he survived thanks to the care of his wife Charlotte and his sister Mary. While William slowly recovered, the intensive care by Charlotte took its toll, and she died on 5 May.

The Duke of Anjou was not very popular with the population. In their view, the French were enemies, and the Duke of Anjou was not very concerned with the people's religious issues. The Duke was even accused of planning Jáuregui's failed attempt to kill the prince. The provinces of Zeeland and Holland refused to recognise him as their sovereign, and William was widely criticised for what were called his "French politics". When the Anjou's French troops arrived in late 1582, William's plan seemed to pay off, as even the Duke of Parma feared that the Dutch would now gain the upper hand.

However, the Duke of Anjou himself was displeased with his limited power, and decided to take the city of Antwerp by force on 18 January 1583. The citizens, who were warned in time, defended their city in what is known as the "French Fury". The position of Anjou after this attack became impossible to hold, and he eventually left the country in June. His leave also discredited William, who nevertheless maintained his support for Anjou. He stood virtually alone on this issue, and became politically isolated. Holland and Zeeland nevertheless maintained him as their stadtholder, and attempted to declare him count of Holland and Zeeland, thus making him the official sovereign.

In the middle of all this, William had married for the fourth and final time on 12 April 1583 to Louise de Colligny, a French Huguenot and daughter of Gaspard de Coligny. She would be the mother of Frederick Henry (1584 – 1647), William's fourth legitimate son.

A 1984 Dutch postage stamp commemorating the quadricentennial of William's death.

The Catholic Frenchman Balthasar Gérard (born 1557) was a supporter of Philip II, and in his opinion, William of Orange had betrayed the Spanish king and the Catholic religion. After Philip II declared William an outlaw and promised a reward of 25,000 crowns for his assassination, which Gérard found out in 1581, he decided to travel to the Netherlands and kill him. He served in the army of the governor of Luxembourg, Peter, Count of Mansfelt for two years, hoping to get close to William when the armies met. This never happened, and Gérard left the army in 1584.

He went to the Duke of Parma to present his plans, but the Duke was unimpressed. In May 1584, he presented himself to William as a French nobleman, and gave him the seal of the Count of Mansfelt. This seal would allow for forgeries of messages of Mansfelt. William sent Gérard back to France to pass the seal to his French allies.

Gérard returned in July, having bought pistols on his return voyage. On 10 July, he made an appointment with William of Orange in his home in Delft, nowadays known as the Prinsenhof. When he left the dining room and climbed down the stairs, Gérard shot him in the chest from close range, and fled. According to the official account [1], William's last words were (in French):

"Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, ayez pitié de moi et de ton pauvre peuple" (My Lord, My Lord, have pity on me and your poor people)

Members of the Nassau family were traditionally buried in Breda, but as that city was in Spanish hands when William died, he was buried in the New Church (Nieuwe Kerk) in Delft. His grave monument was originally very sober, but it was replaced in 1623 by a splendid new one, made by Hendrik de Keyser and his son Pieter. Since then, most of the members of the House of Orange, including all Dutch monarchs have been buried in the same church. William the third, King of England and Scotland and Stadholder in the Netherlands was buried in Westminster Abbey

Gérard was caught before he could flee Delft, and imprisoned. He was tortured before his trial on 13 July, where he was sentenced to be brutally—even by the standards of that time—killed. The magistrates sentenced that the right hand of Gérard should be burned off with a red-hot iron, that his flesh should be torn from his bones with pincers in six different places, that he should be quartered and disemboweled alive, that his heart should be torn from his bosom and flung in his face, and that, finally, his head should be cut off.[citation needed]

At the suggestion of Johan van Oldenbarneveldt, William's eldest son from his first marriage, to Anna of Egmond, Phillip William, succeeded him as Prince of Orange. Phillip William died in Brussels on February 20, 1618 and was succeeded by his half-brother Maurice, the eldest son from William's second marriage, to Anna of Saxony, who became Prince of Orange. A strong military leader, he won several victories over the Spanish. Van Oldenbarneveldt managed to sign a very favourable twelve-year armistice in 1609, although Maurice was unhappy with this. Maurice was a heavy drinker and died on April 23, 1625 from liver disease. Maurice had several sons with Margaretha van Mechelen, but he never married her. So, Frederick Henry, Maurice's half-brother (and William's youngest son from his fourth marriage, to Louise de Coligny) inherited the title of Prince of Orange. Frederick Henry, continued the battle against the Spanish. Frederick Henry died on March 14, 1647 and is buried with his father William "The Silent" in Nieuwe Kerk, Delft[2] The Netherlands became formally independent after the Peace of Westphalia in 1648.

The son of Frederick Henry, William II of Orange succeeded his father as stadtholder, as did his son, William III of Orange. The latter also became King of England. Although he was married to Mary II, Queen of England for 17 years, he died childless in 1702. He appointed his cousin Johan Willem Friso (William's great-great-great-grandson) as his successor. Because Albertine Agnes, a daughter of Frederick Henry, married William Frederik of Nassau-Dietz, the present royal house of the Netherlands descends from William the Silent through the female line. See House of Orange for a more extensive overview.

As the chief financer and political and military leader of the early years of the Dutch revolt, William is considered a national hero in the Netherlands, even though he was born in Germany, and usually spoke French. Many of the Dutch national symbols can be traced back to William of Orange:

* The flag of the Netherlands (red, white and blue) is derived from the flag of the prince, which was orange, white and blue.
* The coat of arms of the Netherlands is based on that of William of Orange. Its motto Je maintiendrai (French, "I will maintain") was also used by William of Orange, who based it on the motto of his cousin René of Châlon, who used Je maintiendrai Châlon.
* The national anthem of the Netherlands, the Wilhelmus was originally a propaganda song for William. It was probably written by Philips van Marnix, lord of Sint-Aldegonde, a supporter of William of Orange.
* The national colour of the Netherlands is orange, and it is used, among other things, in clothing of Dutch athletes.

In 2004 he ended second place in the election of De Grootste Nederlander (The Greatest Dutchman). Pim Fortuyn ended first place. However, this was a controversial result. The final being between the top 2 (of which Fortuyn listed highest) being broadcast on the last evening. The rules allowed people who voted for other favourites to change their vote on this evening. However, when many people did this, the mechanisms to prevent voting fraud dramatically delayed counting of the votes. As the vast majority of last evening votes, that were submitted timely but counted too late, were in favour of William it was discovered later that Fortuyn received only 130.000 votes and William of Orange 161.000.[citation needed] The Dutch tv channel KRO, who organised the election, wanted to respect their stated procedure, that only votes counted at the end of the broadcast determined the winner (although their own faulty technology caused the problem in the first place).

The Best Kept Secret in America

From Dr. Byron T. Weeks, MD

Perhaps my question got lost in your furious cut and pasting and refusal to engage in some simple question and answers. So i'll ask again...

Dear True-Lilly,

Who is the most powerful lobby group in Washington?

Who "owns" U.S foreign policy?

Who specializes in blackmail of the U.S Congress?

Who does Senator Paul Findlay say runs Washington?

Who can destroy an American boat off it's coast and get away with it?

Outside the Western MSM, who is regarded as running the planet?

Who did the Malaysian Prime minister say ran the planet and got others to do their fighting for them?

Who owns and controls the world banking system?

Who were the first "money changers"?

Who have religious texts dedicated to wiping out lower castes of humans and ruling the earth like gods?

Who have religious texts preaching the over throw of throne and alter?

Who financed Bolshevism?

Who financed Nazism?

Who financed the man who financed Rockefella?

And on, and on, and on...

I will give you one clue and one clue only. Neither the "Orange Order" nor the "Jesuits" are the answer.

And i'll add...ALL the groups you throw in, in an avalanche of cutting and pasting, are FUNDAMENTALLY tied to Egyption Sun God Worship which in turn has jumped on the sleigh ride to hell with rockets attached called "Judaism"...also known as an organised crime outfit on the go for 3000 years.

"The Jews" have NEVER submitted as a group. Poor old Moses in the desert for 40 years pulling his hair out. Then umpteen prophets of the Old Testament/Torah demanding repentance and for jews to turn away from sin and go with love, mercy and compassion...ALL slaughtered until they hung God on a cross Himself. Why God bothers with them I do not know. All i know is it is HIS business. A remnant will be saved in the end.

To spend time on "trouser leg puller upper'ers" of their various ilks while neglecting the centers of power made up of the various Round Table Groups ALL financed by the Jewish Money Lenders says that you are simply muddying the waters.

Read your Zohar/Kabbahla. Read the Babylonian Talmud...it's all there.

In the end not even so called "Judaism" will be left. Just the sheer rational intellect of man who can make up whatever system of moral values he wants to suit his depraved power trip of the day.

The ultimate top level of the conspiracy to enslave man is contained in every human being. The decision to turn their back on God and His laws which bring life, for the short sighted expediance of personal power and fufillment of animal passions.

In the end neither "The Jews" nor the "Orange Order" nor "The Jesuits" can go against the will of God.

Peace to you and good luck.

ranks of the Orange order swelled with "true believers," some of them renegades from ..

Of course you MUST defend the Brotherhood and keep it's secrets buried in laughable lies...except, unlike most kids who jump online to spout fiction by gatekeepers, that they've ignorantly swallowed, I've lived a long and very "interesting" life, so you telling me (without knowing anything about who I am and where I've been), what "sources" I MUST accept (along with claiming some mind reading/remote viewing skills), kinda blows your credibility to kingdom come.

While "owners" own, and "workers" work, there are those quite, forgotten people who "RUN" the enterprise, and they are scattered through all levels.

You do know the difference between "running" and "ruling" don't you?

Philip Carter, Newcastle, 2006.

... If there is not equal or sufficient space
given to women there can be no space given
in any dynamic sense to the "working class"
and thus no full account for even the working men themselves.
B James, Where are all the Women in Labour History?, p.28.

Introduction

That history is used selectively … to misinterpret the role of women in the lodges should not be surprising. Masonic historiography is not exempt from the prejudices displayed by historians in general. Indeed, it suffers from all the problems in extensor. Rich and Reyes, Black Women Freemasons, p.6.

The 'No Women!' rule is to women and Freemasonic history what the fiction of terra nullius has been to aborigines and Australian history. Just as that fiction was a stumbling block to reconciliation with the original Australians, so too has the fiction of 'No Women!' led Freemasons to prevaricate and dissemble.

Not only has the 'No Women!' rule compromised Freemasonic jurisprudence and its peculiar system of morality (see 'Albert Through the Looking Glass', this site) the notion of 'No Women!' has confounded Freemasonic history, becoming, as it were, an article of faith. Thus, the ample examples of the involvement of women among the predecessors of modern, mainstream Freemasonry have been discredited as awkward, 'singular' exceptions or as evidence of the implausibility or irrelevance of the evidence.

For instance, the 1389 Certificate of the Guild of Masons at Lincoln specifically mentions 'brothers and sisters' in every clause. Moreover, after the suppression of the Guilds, the property of the Lincoln lodge was given to the city with the 'with the consent of the fraternity, brethren and sisters' (Rae, pp.22/3), Yet, what began in 1929 as a simple translation and publication (AQC, v.XLII, pp.64/67), became contaminated through a chain of references (e.g., A.Q.C., v.LIV, pp.108/110), until suggestions that the Certificate and Lodge had no bearing upon Freemasonic history became transformed into established facts (e.g., Jones, p.70).

During this process, a document as old as their 'earliest' Old Constitution MS, their much-lauded Regius Poem (c.1390), has been neglected. Lincoln's suggested status as the headquarters of England's medieval building fraternity (Rae, pp.22/3) might have meant its Certificate meriting the highest veneration among Freemasons. Blinkered by their 'No Women!' article of faith, Masonic scholars have been unable to appreciate the document at its face value.

The intention of this article is to assist Brethren to 'repair their loss' (allusion 3°, Opening), not only regarding this supremely important Certificate but with regard to other evidence, there for all to see, but to which a blind eye has also been turned. I begin with the 'Old Charges' which specifically mention 'Sisters', 'Dames' and '..she who is to be made a Mason.'

Service clubs give millions of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours to good causes in every community.

There are many different clubs — the list at the end of this chapter names almost a hundred, and more are added often. Some are world-wide; others operate in a single neighbourhood. The definition includes groups of employees such as the Telephone Pioneers of America, religious groups like the Knights of Columbus or Anglican Church Women, and even car fanatics such as the Corvette Clubs.

Many nonprofit groups have gotten support from service clubs just by luck. Working with them effectively, however, involves a systematic process. This can lead to multiple and growing donations lasting over several years.

Service Clubs
Tapping the Hidden Market
Tom F Balke

Service clubs represent one of the untapped markets for donations, gifts in kind, and key contacts in the community.

This article will describe the particularities of service clubs, how you can locate contacts in your community, how to approach service clubs, and how you can network with service clubs for a variety of purposes.
The Who, What, and Where of Service Clubs

A quick look in your local community newspaper will provide you with information concerning the service clubs active in your community. A service club can be loosely defined as any community-based organization which has regular meetings, raises funds, and supports various service projects. Some of these clubs have their own foundations and national organizations which may provide matching funding.

You may already be familiar with a number of service clubs, including the following: Cosmos, Kinsmen, Knights of Columbus, Lioness, Optimists, Rotaract, Comradettes Service Club of the Blind, Kinettes, Legion, Leos, Soroptimists, Interact, IODE, Kiwanis, Lions, Masons, Rotary, and Zonta. Each club has its own specific interests and project requirements. The majority of service clubs are interested in community projects rather than international projects, and yet the experience of Operation Eyesight Universal shows that with effective marketing and project follow-up, anything is possible.

Service clubs assist with a range of charity projects including crisis intervention services, environmental projects, drop-in centres, international student exchanges, and the arts.

It is important to understand that each group has distinct culture and organizational rituals. Your task is to make contact with your local service club and determine what interests it. Service clubs are sometimes jealous of each other as they compete in fundraising projects, and vie for media attention in local newspapers.
How to Infiltrate Your Local Service Club

Which of the above organizations have you had contact with? Do you know any local Rotarians, Lions, or Kiwanians? Does anyone on your board know someone involved with one of the above clubs?

The best way to approach service clubs is through the back door. Offer through one of your personal contacts to give a presentation to the local club. This method is far more successful than the cold call approach.

If all else fails, contact your local newspaper, chamber of commerce, city hall, or reference librarian.
Membership in Service Clubs

If you are responsible for fundraising over a large geographic area, you might consider becoming a member of a local service club. This will grant you a level of respect which is otherwise difficult to develop. Membership in a service club is only effective if you are willing to take the time and effort to network effectively.

Membership in a variety of service organizations enables you to `make up' at any regular meeting of any club around the world. This is your passport to visiting other clubs in your area and gives you the opportunity to informally discuss the work of your charity.
Presentations to Service Clubs

Before making a presentation to your local service club, take the time to ask the program chairperson how long your presentation should be, whether a slide projector or VCR is available, and how many people will be in attendance.

Each service club has its own protocol. You may want to ask what the specific interests of the local club are.

Plan ahead to bring brochures and audio-visual aids. Be visual!

Remember, many `knife and fork' members have heard hundreds of presentations — make sure that yours is interesting, visual, and relates to a mix of personal experiences explaining the human impact of your organization. Humour also helps, but it should not be overdone.

Many service clubs are uncomfortable with a strong direct pitch during your presentation. Don't tell them how much you want from the club; seed imaginations, provide them with opportunities, and above all tell them moving personal stories about the concrete impact your charity has had.
Making the Solicitation

I have found that the best response is obtained by preparing a specific proposal tailored to the interests of a given club. Follow up your presentation with a nice letter to the president containing a project proposal. If you are on the ball, you may be able to prepare a selection of proposals in advance to give to the club. The club president or committee chair is the best person to give it to.

The majority of service clubs have specific committees which meet regularly to deal with funding requests. Your request may first be sent to the director of community service for discussion and then on to the directors for approval. It is important to obtain the names of key people in this process.

Use the time before and after the meal to strategically determine what kind of projects the club sponsors, the range of gifts, and the fundraising activities they are involved in. You may find that you can offer them assistance in their fundraising program. It is crucial that you express a genuine interest in their club and their individual professions.

If you fail in your request, try again. Ask when they might be able to consider another application. Learn from your experiences, and thank them for their consideration. Remember, you are in it for the long haul and your contacts with a specific group may lead to other opportunities.
Once You Get the Gift

Congratulations! You have succeeded in presenting the case for your charity and have effectively infiltrated the culture of your local service club. Now for the bad news: they will not give to you again — unless you provide effective feedback.

The most common complaint I hear when I visit service clubs is that a charity has not maintained contact with them, and has not provided concrete follow-up, such as photos, a video, or report about the project which the club has sponsored.

Make sure that the club is properly credited for their contribution. You might want to take the initiative and send an article and photo to the local newspaper or TV station. If this fails, send a nice letter to the editor of the local paper publicly thanking the group for their gift.

Phone the club president to say thank you. Put club members on your mailing list, invite a representative to a reception, send Christmas or Hanukkah cards. If it has been a major project, call the president and offer to present information to the club whenever convenient.
Establishing a Network

One of the key objectives of visiting local service clubs is to make contact with people of influence and affluence in the community. You can meet mayors, lawyers, corporate executives, presidents of TV stations, newspaper editors, printers, and other contacts who could ultimately benefit your organization. Remember to pick up a copy of the club bulletin so that you can have the names and numbers of all the members.

I have been able to lobby members of parliament; get television and radio public service announcements aired, newspaper articles published; have received major donations from foundations, $20,000 in free optometry equipment; and have been provided with

discounted or free merchandise through networking at service clubs.

Do you need major donors, board members, door-to-door canvassers, local media time or permission to have your brochure included in the local water bill?

Start here! Exchange business cards and follow up contacts with a thank you note or a call asking for specific advice. Ask if they know anyone who could be of assistance with a specific task or problem area.

Once you have established a relationship, you can also obtain the names of contacts in other clubs, or even a copy of the local service club directory. This is often a confidential document and is difficult to obtain. Use your contact in a club to link up with other neighbouring clubs.
Are you willing to give, not just receive?

As a fundraiser or volunteer coordinator, you have a great deal to offer. You may even be in a position to offer the assistance of your charity's volunteers when the local service club has its next chicken roast, television auction, or midnight madness bingo. This indicates that you are willing to give and not just receive.

Your local service club may benefit from having a fundraising expert like you to help plan their next campaign. Keep your nose in the door and your face fresh in their minds.

Patience, personal contact, and pizazz! These are the secrets to tapping the hidden service club market.

Tom F Balke, who wrote this article, works for Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship in Halifax, NS. He is also a Rotary Club member. Published in the July/August 1991 issue of CCP's Network newsletter.

I can't believe the lack of Hillary 'dirt', being raise.

Sure, it's alot harder to dig up online these days, but how short are memouries of what once made some 'interesting' documentaries on MSM.

What happened to memouries of all those no longer 'inconvenient' (to the Clinton's), people, because they 'conveniently' DIED?

What, because she's a woman, we're supposed to forget she's also ...no more simple word for it... a cunt?

The 'intellectual pedigree' of this woman, alone, should wipe her straight off the 'trustable' scale.

Professor Yacoobi received the award as a distinguished leader in educating average citizens and local leaders about the basic values and principles of democracy, the rights of women and ethnic minorities, strategies for peace-building and conflict resolution, and the importance of broad political participation.

So, why, with so bloody many "good men made better" and "Sisterhoods", gathering the highest levels of professionals to run countless charities, all over the world, do these situations of TRADING IN CHILDREN, for ABUSE, MONEY and WORSE, still gallop along.

Cunts :oh:

Saddly, it is not just Florida.

"They" use this method all over the world, to destroy families and get their hands on children.

But there is also the blackmail value of such corupt systems.

Sure there are the Judges and 'workers' with reputations for INjustice, but when it's made clear to you there are still 'respected' people in "Their" system, who will make such cases against the rich and (they think) powerfull, ...well you can understand why so many professionals and polititions have these cases documented but still have done nothing to end it and gaol the real abusers.

A HISTORY OF THE ORDER AND ITS RELATION TO
THE ORANGE ORDER AND THOUGHTS FOR STUDY.

By

Sir. Knight A.S.Brooks

(Past Grand Master of Ontario, Past Grand Master of British America)

Introduction

In order to fully understand and appreciate the importance of The Royal Black Knights of the Camp of Israel, it is necessary to have a fairly good grasp of the historical and ritualistic background of the Order…

All things created were made by God. Then, as the world progressed, and mankind being free will agents, left to work out their salvation, it became necessary for God to plan and institute ways and means to bring about the fulfilment of His Divine plan for mankind, such as the establishing of His Chosen Race, The Nation Israel.

We therefore, being of the House of Israel, were undoubtedly ordained of God to play an active part in bringing about the fulfilment of the Divine plan for mankind.

Knowing and realising the significance of these facts not only offers a challenge to the members of this great Priestly Order, but must surely inspire them to fulfil to the best of their ability, the duties evolving upon them in their high and noble calling…

Those familiar with the work of the Order know that it originates in ancient Israel, but who knows for sure how it was preserved and handed down. It is however an Israelitish Order as well as Christian. All ancient Israelitish religious ceremonies were ritualistic and were in general use at the time Christ began His ministry and there is no doubt about His being familiar with the Jewish and Israelitish form of worship. After Pentecost was over, there was an order formed known as the Brotherhood of disciples whose colours were Purple, Blue and Scarlet. Saint Peter refers to them in the First Epistle of Peter, Chapter two verse seventeen, "Honour all men. Love the BROTHERHOOD. Fear God. Honour the King" (CAPITALS in the original document). Note they were to 'Honour all men' but they were to 'Love the BROTHERHOOD'.

Was this Brotherhood used of God to preserve and hand down to us those ritualistic treasures we possess? Who knows. The fact that we today have this treasure proves they were handed down to us through some unknown channel which could have been the Brotherhood.

With the background I have given here it will be in Order to pass on to some of the events leading up to the forming of Knightly Orders.

About the close of the sixth century or the beginning of the seventh, a man by the name of John the Almoner built the hospice. In the years following many more were built. They served a very great need and in 1048 a move was made to organise and bring all these units into a great Knightly Order and Order of St. Johns of Jerusalem came into being…It became like a tree and the branches continued to grow, or break off and become separate Orders, or at least become known by different names, although actually, they were Knights of St. Johns. Because of the black robes worn by some, they were nicknamed Black Knights. One Branch eventually adopted this name and became the Order of Black Knights from which we are descended.

In setting up this new Order it was quite evident that men who were familiar with the Black Order not only gave assistance in organising, but they helped prepare the Ritual which was made up of certain parts of the Black ritual that were suitable to the designs of the new Order, which was an operative Order and the qualification for membership and degree was based on their classification as workmen, such as Apprentices, Masons, Master Masons, Craftsmen, Master Craftsmen, etc.
http://www.nireland.com/evangelicaltruth/images/Crosscrown.gif
Thus was born the great Masonic Order which is somewhat younger in years than the Black, but Ritualistically it is just as old, and there is no doubt in my mind as to its formation being in line with God's plan for man. Their ritual work being copied from the Black, accounts for the similarity of Emblems and the work of the two Orders. The Masonic Order has no doubt carried on with less interruption or lapse than has the Black, but both Orders have, and are, doing a great work in the world today…

Black Lodges and Knights of Malta both contributed much to the forming of the Orange Order. The Ritual of the Orange Order indicates that persons with a knowledge of the Black Ritual assisted in drawing the Orange Ritual…

I take it for granted the reader is familiar with the story of Israel and will know that the tribe of Levi were set apart as a Priestly Order to minister in the Temple and conduct the ritualistic religious service of the Israel nation. This Priestly Order continued to function and was in charge of religious worship in the Jewish nation at the birth of Christ. Christ knew and understood this Order, and further, He did not destroy it but was careful to observe and to do what was required by the law…

Here we see history repeating itself. Just as God set apart the tribe of Levi in ancient Israel, so now He ordains and sends out a new order to function in what was to become Modern Israel.

The Christian Church grew and spread very rapidly and when the first Christian Missionaries- among whom Joseph of Arimithea - journeyed to Britain in AD 36, they found people of Israelitish origin living there and using Israelitish ritual which had been in use for hundreds of years. These people gradually accepted the story of the Christ and embodied it in their religious service…

The reader may be asking the question here, what has all this to do with Black Knighthood? In answer I would say that in order to properly understand this Order, one must have a knowledge of those things as Knighthood is so closely tied with the same, and it is necessary to have the complete picture in order to fully understand, not only HOW but WHY. The whole fabric of our Order very definitely indicates that we are tied in with the old Levite Order, and as such, we are playing a part in bringing about the fulfilment of God's plan for mankind.

Ain't life strange.

truebeliever jumps on the Orange Order thread to fob off their Global Power in the NWO, and just wants to "Jew Bash", and I end up posting Orange Order stuff on his Jew Bashing thread, not noticing I'm on the wrong thread till we get to the bit that ties "those who say they are Jews but do lie", to The Orange Order.

Sad how so few "loyal Orange men and women", don't realize, those they hate are their masters.

It seems you are on a runaway monorail like the one in that funny "Simpsons" episode. Going round and round full tilt and no one knows where the off switch is.

The furious/manic, cutting and pasting seems more like a cover for a lack of intrinsic understanding of the subject matter. Like the man at the party who attempts to win by shouting the loudest. He does end up winning, but only because the opposite party moves onto the punch bowel and better company.

Long before "The Orange Order" was Egyptions worshipping "Ra". The Pharoes believed (and probably did experience) divine visitation much like a Christian Orthodox Ascetic Monk experiences. Jesus after all stated clearly..."the Kingdom of God is within you"...and..."Yae are God's"! Just before they stoned Him for herasy.

The ontological line is quite obvious for all to see who wish to explore the subject. You claim that a local gangsta on the street corner selling you crack is running the drug trade? You are so far off the mark it aint funny. In fact you have to be disinfo or maybe just a passionate man who believes he has found the truth where others have failed. More power to you.

Till you can explain to me in your own words how the "Orange Order" superceded the Jewish Money Changers of Eastern Europe who adhere to the Occult Zohar/Kabbahla texts of Judaism...i'm afraid I must slate you for a manic "cutting and pasting dis-order". Nothing to be to ashamed about. We all do it. Most of us grow out of it as our knowledge increases and along with it our intrinsic understanding of the matter at hand.

Keep at it.

Best,

Brendon O'Connell,

Western Australia.

Ta BlueAngel.

just remember not to fall for oran...sorry, "truebelievers" word play.

Just as the Christian faith existed before it got that name, likewise the satanic religion, and "They" can change their name all they like, but it's the same 'pedigree'.

From;
Vatican;
http://www.davidickeforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42016

“ . . . the great whore that sitteth upon many waters . . . arrayed in purple and scarlet . . . is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth . . . and in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.” – Revelation 17:1, 4, 18; 18:24

Its incorrect to assume that the Roman Catholic Church is the above. The above refers to the Mysteries religion. The RCC came much later and is simply a brother/sister.

Black is Saturnalian and the Jesuit Order is known as the Black Brotherhood. We also have the Black Nobility (Saturn Nobility by any chance haha?).

Just as Christian faith existed since Adam, but is knowas/called Christianity today, the Vatican is the 7th head, before the beast she ride becomes the 8th. As in;
Rev. 17;
9 Here is the mind that has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits.

10 They are seven kings. Five have fallen, the one is, the other has not yet come. When he comes, he must continue a little while.

("The one that is", in that context, is Rome before it added 'Christian' to it's name.)

11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also an eighth, and is of the seven; and he goes to destruction.

(There were times when men of God were trying to turn Rome around, but the eighth [Beast] keeps putting an end to that.)

16 The ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the prostitute, and will make her desolate, and will make her naked, and will eat her flesh, and will burn her utterly with fire.

(Now because the Catholic church does use The Bible, and so Christians do come from her, the Beast and his Ruling Elite, have to destroy her too, to bring about the New Universal Religion of Satan.)

So who are the minions of The Black Brotherhood, who destroy Rome?

That Global, Protestant bastard child of the Whore, who push everything 'secular' through their countless service clubs, organisations and movements, The Orange Order.

This is also why exposing, them cops more spitting rage from the gatekeepers, that expossing Masons etc. and also why Rome is ALLOWED to be exposed these days.

"They" the Black Brotherhood and the Orange Order Elites, are already kindling the fire to burn her, but can't afford to have too many wake up to the 'parentage' of those 'secular' movements the Orange Order have spread around the world, whispering smooth things and seducing, particularly through WOMEN going from house to house.

As one who's suffered the "boot camp" of SRA, but didn't sign up for "Their" war, you have a right to always doubt "Them" first, untill they care to prove otherwise.

You have "Expert Status", the conspiracy book buyers couldn't begin to imagine.

How is it that you know I suffered the "boot camp" of SRA?

Why do you think I have Expert Status?

Yes, I do have a right to doubt everyone and that would include you and, this right is of my own chosing, not because it has been allowed by another.

Do not attempt to align yourself with me. I am and have always been a "lone wolf" to a certain degree.

I trust not many and those whom I might and are not trustworthy most times give themselves away without much assistance from me.
