As part of a balanced vocabulary...it has it's place...as long as it's communicating something.

There is no fucking way that swearing corrodes our damn society.

As a matter of fact, all of the classics use some form of profane language in one form or another, in at least one place in the book where a more 'colorful' metaphore (to quote spock from Star Trek, The Voyage Home) is the only way to support the severity of a situation, or idea.
