Somewhere, that innate compassion gets lost in the mix as children learn about the cruel world.

The Illusion of Democracy by Rene Guenon (translated by Luiz Pontual):

" One of the false cornerstones of “democracy” is the vote, which ideally should be a collective judgment on the art of governing. Still, no one could sincerely defend the eccentric idea that a majority is intellectually qualified and has sufficient knowledge about administration and government to the point of exercising judgment on these matters.

Maintaining due proportions, such equalitarian supposition would equate claiming that everyone is qualified, for example, for deliberating on a medical matter. A real situation, such as that of a person hit by a car, could well illustrate such absurdity. A person has just been hit and is seriously injured. A dozen curious onlookers anxiously observe the event. What is the plausible criterion for determining which among them can help the injured person? Naturally, those qualified to do it, that is, doctors or nurses. A voting would be entirely preposterous, for a majority is never qualified for medical, as well as administrational, functions.

This reasoning being valid regarding the destiny of a person hit by a car, it is evident that if we take in account the destiny of millions of individuals — which is what is involved in the case of government elections — we ascertain that it is a huge irresponsibility.

There are a variety of examples of the absurdity of the “democratic cornerstone” claiming the superiority of the majority, i.e., that an opinion defended by a greater number of individuals is superior to the one defended, for example, by a minority qualified for opining.

How could it be sustained that 200 bottles of cheap wine, just because of their number, hold a superior content to that of a single glass of topnotch wine?

Or else, how could it be claimed that 1450 individuals, of the most varied professions, will be better qualified than a single specialist for solving a matter of quantum physics?

At the origin of the Democratic Illusion lies a denial of natural hierarchy, a hierarchy that establishes itself from top to bottom, i.e., from the qualitatively highest, the spiritual, to the least high, the material, and that has its clearest expression in the Hindu Caste Doctrine. But the mentors of democracy projected it “based” on what is most coarsely material and quantitative.

The denial of the qualitative superiority and of hierarchy blossoms at the end of the Middle Ages, more precisely in the year 1303, with the destruction of the Temple Order by Philip, surnamed The Fair, then King of France. This monarch ordered a siege to the palace of the Pope, who died a few days later, humiliated from the offense. Philip, The Fair, then decides to force the nomination of a submissive Pope, one sympathetic with his greed and political projects, which were impossible under the tutelage of the current Pope. This historical event marks the rupture of the West with his own tradition, and the beginning of laicization.

Denial of the sacerdotal superiority (typical of the rebelled Kchatriya ) implicates a denial of the Single Principle, or God. But, respecting logic how is it possible to defend such denial?"

It's been an earth-shattering, mind-blowing education for me, speaking for myself, personally. And if you want to judge others for being interested in coming here and participating in any form of debate on these posts, or simply posting something that they found perplexing, you can judge and judge some more. That's your business. It just doesn't reflect very well on you, in my eyes. My two cents.

Draken

Like I said to Ozziecynic, I don't care about what people think of me or my posts. Most of the stuff I post I find very important, otherwise I wouldn't post it. A minority of other stuff I post is just jokes with other people and comments on their posts. I'm very aware of the fact that the Internet, FOR ME, is mainly a distraction. Even if I've found a lot of knowledge on the Net and good info on a number of topics, it's still how and if I destill it that matters.

I just want people here to be aware of the fact that sitting in front of a computer is NEVER going to change anything. Meanwhile - before you bite my head off - I NEVER assumed that discussing NWO topics on Club Conspiracy is THE ONLY thing people do.

Another thing I want people to contemplate is a) that the Internet is NOT a "blessed" thing sent by God to mankind, like some people here actually have expressed themselves; and b) what if the Net was shut down over night, never to go "up" again, without it having been totally politically corrected, meaning cleansed of all valuable knowledge: WOULD ANYONE NOTICE? Is it not moving incredibly fast in that direction?
Consider the fact that the Internet was created by DARPA, a US military department. Would they really let it run amok with people publishing embarrassing truths all over the place if they didn't feel COMPLETELY safe it wouldn't harm them?

I never meant to attack anyone - I actually didn't think anyone would even FEEL attacked by me saying that the Net is a distraction?!

It was a conclusion drawn from observing myself. I only speak for myself, backing it up with individual experience and I thought sharing that observation would spark thoughts in other directions than the usual.

I never meant to offend.

If I did offend anyway, tough. I can't help it if you took it that way.

When Christ took the sin of the world on the cross. God did abandon him. Christ himself said, "Father, why have you forsaken me?" When Christ died, he stayed dead for three days until the Father resurrected him. Christ was an ordinary human being with no supernatural powers for the first 30 years of his life. "I'm pretty sure alot of us will be enjoying an Ice cold Nuclear winter, as opposed to an ice cold tall one. I'm disappointed at the results of the election... I just hope that whoever controls the marionettes doesn't wreak too much havoc.

"The Government sucks all the freedom from the people, those willing to lay down their lives for the reinstallation of stability and everything they've lost since their enslavement rise from silence. A sleeping giant is awaken. There are many events that could lead to the government sucking our freedom up. A terrorist attack occurs, the Bill of Rights and Constitution are suspended, martial law ensues. Civil unrest occurs as a result of the "every man for themselves" nation-wide order. The Government starts rounding up individuals they deem as a "threat" and hold them indefintely. Conflicts between militias and government hired-guns flare up as the people fear the US has plunged into a police state."

I agree that most people don't give a S#*! about anyone but themselves. 'How can I use this person to further myself?' It's pathetic really. Who cares about what you look like to everyone else? The only thing that counts are your actions... it IS said THEY speak louder than words.

To resist is to piss in the wind.
Anyone who does will end up smelling.
Knowing this, why do I defy?
Because my inner voice is yelling.
There is a fist pressing against
anyone who thinks something compelling.

and our soul we're told is for selling.- Brandon Boyd :-P

Anyone who wants to know the human psyche will learn next to nothing from experimental psychology.

He would be better advised to abandon exact science, put away his scholar's gown, bid farewell to his study, and wander with human heart throught the world.

There in the horrors of prisons, lunatic asylums and hospitals, in drab suburban pubs, in brothels and gambling-hells, in the salons of the elegant, the Stock Exchanges, socialist meetings, churches, revivalist gatherings and ecstatic sects, through love and hate, through the experience of passion in every form in his own body, he would reap richer stores of knowledge than text-books a foot thick could give him, and he will know how to doctor the sick with a real knowledge of the human soul.

This is certainly not to say that what we call the unconscious is identical with God or is set up in his place. It is the medium from which the religious experience seems to flow. As to what the further cause of such an experience may be, the answer to this lies beyond the range of human knowledge. Knowledge of God is a transcendental problem.

TO GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE

Hi Barbara

My real name is Luiz Pontual.
My nickname, Old Turtle.
Someone posted a text of mine titled "The illusion of democracy", but, don't know why, René Guénon appears as the real author and me, just as his translator.
You can see my book on my site www.reneguenon.net (english version).
Well Barbara, I'd like to fix that on CLUBCONSPIRACY.
Could you please help me?

Best regards,

Luiz Pontual

(How's that, Old Turtle?) ;-)

Here is the "Best Lines" thread
you were looking for.

Can I vote for myself for best line?
I said the following line
when I was 4 years old,
my mother was astonished when
she first heard me say it, and well
the rest is history:
"If at first you don't succeed
try try again".

"Spider-sense tingling!" Spiderman

"I'm singin' in the rain, Just singin' in the rain...
What a glorious feeling, I'm happy again..
I'm laughing at clouds, so dark up above..
The sun's in my heart, and I'm ready for love.
Let the stormy clouds chase, Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain, I've a smile on my face.
I'll walk down the lane, With a happy refrain
And I'm singin', just singin' in the rain."

I won't say a single solitary slovo unless I have my lawyer here. I know the law, you bastards. Cop: "We'll have to show our little friend Alex here that we know the law too, but that knowing the law isn't everything." Clockwork Orange
