I'm not familiar with that term, but it sounds like lots of shit work is involved- Like something they do when a superior says, "I need a few volunteers".

I thought purifying water was part of the job description.

Heard today there were 6,000 rescued so far from a town in New Orleans with a population of about 30,000 and the possibility of 27,000 dead.
