Hello, we are new to this forum so please allow me the opportunity to introduce our radio show called Enlightening the Mind. I am Brenda Brown and I represent the radio show and I will be posting articles, information and blogs that we will be discussing on the show from time to time. This is not intended to be solely an advertisement for the show; rather, an attempt to reach the goal of enlightening others. Our show is designed to give the free-spirited, independent-minded thinkers the opportunity to speak their minds and voice their opinions on various topics that affect and shape how we live our daily lives. Our goals for posting in this forum are as follows:

1. Give all of you more things to ponder and think about.
2. Add more listeners to the show.
3. Also, some of your response’s will give me, as well as the host of the show, another view point that may or may not help us see the same topic and issue in another light so that the best analytical judgment can be truly reached so that we all may find that ultimate understanding and enlightenment that we seek.

I have read many of the blogs on this forum and I must say I am happy there are so many diverse opinions out there and that so many people believe and feel the way we do about many things. I have a question regarding a picture of Obama that you present on your site.

Hello Blue Angel. In regard to your question about the image of Obama on our website; I have posted some information about it but what I found more interesting than the picture is why they put the word Socialism underneath it.

I did some research on the word Socialism and this is what I came up with the dictionary defines Socialism:
1.Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.
2.The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved.

Cultural Dictionary

An economic system in which the production and distribution of goods are controlled substantially by the government rather than by private enterprise, and in which cooperation rather than competition guides economic activity. There are many varieties of socialism. Some socialists tolerate capitalism, as long as the government maintains the dominant influence over the economy; others insist on an abolition of private enterprise. All communists are socialists, but not all socialists are communists.

Hmm…very interesting, it seems that we are truly headed to this state…imagine that. The United States of America who has fought against other countries for centuries, and swore up and down that we we're a free nation void and free of Communism and other dictatorships are slowly and secretively turning into one. What is this world truly coming to? You make your own decisions and interpretations on the information I just gave but I would like to hear your thoughts on that.

Believe it or not, that is the same question I asked. But, the creator of the image as well as the article said that Obama represents the comic book character the 'Joker' who was a socialist by nature (where do these people get this stuff from LOL) the 'Joker' in 'The Dark Knight' was actually the polar opposite as he subscribed to anarchy so that is when I did the research into socialism and what it meant, which is why I asked the question 'Why put the word socialism under the picture?"

I decided to start to compare Obama's policies as well as the former administration's policies and that is when I found out there may be something to the socialism aspect of the photo after all.

Again, I say make your own opinions about it and let me know what you, Blue Angel, and anyone else who comes across this post thinks.

If you needed to consult with the artist of YOUR site as to an explanation regarding his reason for portraying Obama with a white face, black eyes and smeared red lips because I inquired of you as to why OBAMA's image was depicted in this fashion, it is apparent that the message the IMAGE was intended to convey failed.

Obviously, I'm not the only one who didn't recognize the correlation between the JOKER and OBAMA.
