The grassy knoll was an area along the parade route in Dallas during the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Many conspiracy theorists believe it was here that the actual fatal shots were fired by trained assassins. There are even pictures in circulation of E. Howard Hunt, CIA spook and general-purpose Illuminati handyman, standing on the knoll alongside several other men who appear to be pointing rifles.

In recent years, "grassy knoll" has become a general term within conspiracy vernacular.
