Suggestions?

Sablefish,

My idea is that the person who starts a topic would have the power to delete any ( full comment # ) that they don't want for only that topic ( thread? )
This would have to be programmed into the system.

Good suggestion, however.. I was thinking more about being civil, not calling each other names.. That kind of thing.

What for instance, What would we do if a person seems like they are trying to destroy the site itself?

sablefish,

I don't understand what you are saying. Are you talking about a technical problem or are you talking about people who try to make the site discredible for any information.

The latter.. and people who are making malicious verbal attacks against other posters.. For instance if you put a lot of time and money into a website would you want posters who chase away other posters, with mean spirited attacks?

And now we play God... deciding who gets a voice and who doesn't. Isn't that the whole problem? People are starting to "own" their threads. What is that all about? I agree, people can say nasty things and I am sure ol' henry has his finger on the switch, if he wants to pull the plug. Let it be his choice. It is his site. We are all adults here; we can ignore a problem and surely we can face a challenge.

There will always be disruptors in life and I guess we're all looking for this utopia thing, even in cyberspace.

I wanted to add my 2 cents to a thread and was misunderstood all the way and greeted with hostility. That's life. I am unwelcome by the owner of the thread. If I want to engage I will, I choose not to.

there is definitely something brewin' in the kitchen... maybe it's the truth through all this lively debate?

I don't understand what that means. Can you explain it to me? Sometimes I am thick as a plank and can't see the forest for the trees.

Thanx mary XXX

have you ever heard the saying,

take everything with a grain of salt?

I noticed you use a 'spoonful of sugar' in

another forum. Same thing.

Re: Site Disruptors: How Will We Deal With Them?

Thank you for explaining that to me

I didn't even think of the meaning behind that one either - spoonful of sugar.

I knew you are clever. I just meant to be nice helps any person relate their point of view. That thing where you get more bees with honey than with vinegar?

Great point of view too. I read things and think about them for a while, slosh em' around in the back of my head for a while in the knowledge that the truth always comes to light and will always reveal itself in reality.

Thanx again... wouldn't it be nice if we could all just ask questions and respond in kind?
