I've noticed something interesting about the United States Great Seal that I made a GIF animation of.


"Annuit Coeptis Novus Ordo Seclorum" is Latin for "Announcing the birth of the New World Order".

Uh, no it isn't.

They are actually two mottos and both are taken from Vergil. "Annuit Coeptis" comes from the Aeneid and means "He favors our (daring) undertakings". In the Aeneid, it referred to Jupiter, but here there is no subject, although many think the 'eye of providence' is the subject.

"Novus Ordo Seclorum" does not mean "New World Order", but "New Order of the Ages". It comes from one of Vergil's Eclogues and relates to a prophecy of a child that comes from the heavens and starts a new order of the ages. This was commonly thought to refer to Christ, which is why Vergil's work has survived better than many Roman literature. The Christians didn't destroy it.

Essentially the moon is related to the sun because they are both round. That is about where the similarity ends though.

I am not saying anything. I find the symmetry of the combined seals interesting. Read into it if you wish. I only posted it because in all likeliness, you've never seen it before.

To answer your question I feel I "tolerate" money. I require money to survive, as do you. I also appreciate the artistic value in tangible money.

Not one single bullet in and of itself has ever killed a living thing. The same can be said of money. It's all about the intent.

Underneath it all... it's all a big lie. We think we want it... It's worth ONLY what they tell you it is.
