Tried writing to the media lately? Good luck. Major outlets have returned items, well OK maybe I got the address wrong like three times in a row with different stations?
Then there is something called GSM the "anti spam" email filtering software. Returned my email calling them all lobotomized idiots. So it was judged "inappropriate".
Then don't under any circumstances email people from work. It just disappears magically into the Stasi headquarters. I may be free to expound upon this if I get fired. The general conclusion is that emails are no longer safe, if they ever were anyway.

I should have stated that in my opinion "investigative reporting" mainly exists on the internet, independent researchers, etc., but mainstream media is not mainstream any longer.

They are PARROTS!! Reading and repeating over and over again whatever they are handed by those in positions of authority/control!!

Reporting conflicting bits of information, etc. given to the MEDIA by the "powers that be" in an effort by THEM, those who own the airwaves and print, to keep the masses confused as to any single issue so that to get to the truth one must have the time to spend looking for a needle in a haystack.

If the media can't sort it out for us, well, then we certainly can't when jobs, family and slaves to their technology call upon us.

With the internet, we stand a chance to spread the truth!!!

Update. I tried once again to write to several news outlets from my place of work. You cannot. Think about this for a moment. You are an honest hard working career person, spent 25 years of your time building up a company then one day you uncover a scandal topping the Enron situation. You can't email the press, you can't protect yourself from an absolute frame up job. You can't because the email software filters this out.
I understand Windows XP and the upcoming Palladium are even more extreme and have "enhanced" capabilities in this area. (research digital rights management).
What can I say other than Satan lives?
Solution? Express it openly. Tell everyone you know in business. Refuse to use email for certain things just because it is not safe. Refuse to bank online. Refuse to efile with the IRS and state that it is against my religion to support the technology of the anti-christ. Remember business people everywhere are banking on the new "wireless revolution". Translation for the common man? You may have to walk funny with a GPS tracking unit shoved up your ass.
Invest now. Buy a tesla coil. Few electronic devices can withstand the high frequency high voltage put out by these units.
Translation...it frys the chips!

Yet another update.
Been writing extensively lately. Congress,press outlets, alternative boards, draft stuff and low and behold the cable internet connection is getting slower and slower. Hmm. Hi there FBI guys! Can't say for sure just an observation noted several times of late.
