Default Re: Question: is the bird flu meant to kill us, or the vaccination??

I once heard a parable a long time ago.. it's set in the Mideast (it's an *old*, Biblical-style parable). It goes something as follows (I'm paraphrasing it, probably don't have it completely correctly):

A traveler was on the road one day when he met the Black Plague on this way to Baghdad. The traveler asked "Where are you going?" "I am going to Baghdad, to slay 1,000 people," replied the Black Plague. A few weeks later, traveling on the same road, the traveler once again ran into the Black Plague, and greeted him. "I thought you said you were only going to slay 1,000 people! I heard that 100,000 people died from the Black Plague in Baghdad!" exclaimed the angry traveler. "I only slew 1,000 people in Baghdad," replied the Black Plague. "The other 99,000 perished from Fear."
