Default Re: Love Covers a Multitude of Sins/ Forgiveness

If you go online a study on

"Love Covers a Multitude of Sins"
www.topical-bible-studies.org/10-0005.htm

will show you God's will in these things.

I didn't do the best job, but God forgives me.
Not that this is excuse to keep sinning. But He requires us to forgive. This is very difficult without Jesus, part of forgiveness is covering the sins of others.

It may be one of the hardest things but God's Word says we are to be like He is he is love how is love?

1 Corinthians 13

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not selfseeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails. .

Forgiveness is closely tied in with this

Forgiveness is required for those who have been forgiven

The story of Corrie Ten Boom is a great story of forgiveness. She, it could be argued, had a "lot" to forgive.

Here's a study, but there is no compromise or half-way on forgiveness for the Christian. That's just the facts.

www.levitt.com/essays/forgiven.html

Know this, friends, it is never God's will for us to keep a record of wrongs. This is not forgiveness, not God's love. Anyone who says you are entitled to your unforgiveness, for the Christian, is wrong and in error. We aren't. Don't let Satan make you buy that lie.

We are not entitled, in anyway, to such things, as Christians, if we truly are.

Here'a a favorite quote of mine:

"To forgive is
to set a prisoner free and discover the prisoner was you. ... "
