I would pay attention on Fernando Henrique Cardoso. Twice president of Brazil, internationally recognized sociologist and author, socialist. Interestingly, when he was president he said "forget what I wrote" and was a globalist, defender of liberal economy, etc. As all globalists, he is socialist at heart and global capitalist in action. He was VERY much into the UN...I don`t doubt he will be the next Secretary General, since it would be "nice" to have a man from a developing country in the position.
