Re: For All My Aussie Friends, In Memorium
Long gone are the days when soldiers and knights knew what they were fighting for, wanted to fight for it, chose freely to fight for it and were not afraid to sacrifice their lives for it; because they knew it was for a cause greater than worldy, material life: it was for Eternal Life, either in victory or defeat. They couldn't loose.
And they fought honorably, bravely, proudly and fairly. They respected their foes and didn't humiliate or offend them in defeat.
They were the true heroes, heroes we remember even today, unlike those slaughtered, since WW1, in their millions - human sacrifice offered to Satan.
It took true bravery to take a sword in your hand, look your foe straight in the eye and engage in a duel to the death.
What does it take to squeeze a trigger or push a button? A functioning index finger.
Three things are sacred to me: first Truth, and then, in its tracks, primordial prayer; Then virtue–nobility of soul which, in God walks on the path of beauty. Frithjof Schuon
