I cant help but think this avian bird flu is a distraction. From what i've been reading their is no way they will get away with it. The "science" behind things is SO BAD that it is bound to break through the media walls soon that this is a beat up of monumental proportions.
I would'nt rule out problems in Asia due to their health care and general social condition. But as for the rest of us? A non event. Perhaps it's irrelevant and the media coverage is doing it's job.
They're even going hell for leather with talk of militarization here in Oz.
