Heres a speech by one of Chinas top generals detailing future "Targets" for Chinese expansion, and suprise suprise Australias almost top of the list.
I think the link came from here somewhere but you may not have seen it so here it is again.

Its also interesting that China has just anounced a deal with Mugabe to colonize "confiscated" former white farms in Zimbabwe with Chinese to increase food production and subsequently Chinese influence in Africa.
