This sounds like Chertoff finally cracking down on illegal immigration. They had to let the shit storm get to critical mass so they could bring something to the bargaining table. In America they build concentration camps and mega jails unbeknownst to the population that it's meant not just for the illegals. I suspect it will be the same case in Europe.
