The ME culture is radically different from us. The way they see personal space and privacy is just one example. They don't think in collectivist terms like we are programmed to do (ala Rees), they obet personal loyalties first and foremeost and that is something that we seem to lost.
What di the war do? It got the US foot in the door. Saddam was tha biggest and goofiest bad boy over there. He was the softest target. Notice that Turkey refused staging at the last moment. Wonder why???
