A republic, as America was designed to be, assumes as many untruths as a democracy. The absolute definition of what America is needs to be defined clearly and taught. A true democracy will always gravitate toward the lowest common denominator and a true republic will allow run-a-way greed and inevitably produce an inherited aristocracy of wealth. Both of these systems are gravely flawed. The results that both produce have already been seen and experienced.
