Exactly. Who should you serve; the state and its laws OR the cause? It’s illegal to mark sterling too but that doesn’t stop tradesmen doing their sums on sterling notes, most notes here have some sort of writing on them. As long as you’re not giving the notes you write on directly to the thought police nobody will know.
