Default Ten plagues of Egypt

Although 9 of the 10 plagues that happened in Egypt can be explained by the eruption of Mt Santeria, the one it can't take credit for is the killing of the first born, which raises the question of whether the jews were held in high esteme as physicians at the time in Egypt, if they were they could have easily known of a poison that would kill in a few days time, if so they could have asked all that recieved their care whether they were the first born, knowing which to give a placebo and which would recieve a fatal concoction they could have caused the genocide.

On another note: Did the Catholic church in essence create the Voodoo religeon of Santeria?
