Another name for Alumbados is Protestants. I do not believe that Mr.'Wieshaupt'(or whatever his real name) was ever an actual member of the Jesuit Order. He had a teaching position on the staff of the University as a means of infiltrating or spying on the Order.
Incidently, St. Ignatius was NOT associated with the Alumbados in any way.
