Re: Why The Middle East Conflict Continues To Exist
This is where the Palestinian-Israeli conflict serves its purpose. Keeping the conflict alive means a never-ending moral crusade can be carried out by both Arabs and Jews, each blaming the other for keeping the conflict festering, each pointing fingers at the other side rather than at the foreigners. Is it merely a coincidence that there is vast oil reserves in the Middle East, while at the same time the region is home to a seven-decade-long conflict? If there were no oil, would there have been an Arab-Israeli conflict? As long as the Arabs and Jews are blaming each other, the foreigners' role will go unnoticed.
If they can entice fighting amongst different religious factions, festering hatred and anger for decades, then yes the root cause, the role that the "evil doers" play, remains unnoticed and they are then free to control the assets in the region.
If only people could see how important the tool of distraction is for them.
How can we, as a people, believe that if foreign influence was removed, peace in the Middle East would not be attainable.
How can we, as a people, hear statistics such as 3,000 children die daily in Africa from mosquito bites without wondering why on God's green earth with food plentiful, medicine available, can much of this country's people continue to live in squalor.
How can we not SEE that those of "dark" color are targets?
Where riches exist in abundance, regions of people suffer horrendous abuse.
