There's much debate in Oz at present regarding turning sewage back into drinking water to alleviate the effects of the drought.
I understand that they can reduce the bugs to "safe" levels.
But what about drugs (birth control pills, ritilin etc.) ?
There's a problem with frogs and fish downstream of sewage treatment plants becoming all female due to the oestrogens in the water.
Will the use of recycled water drop fertility rates (oestrogen), and numb out the population (ritilin) ?
What else will the drug effects be ?
"They" have been doing that here in the States for DECADES. (Recycling Dirty Water) :-?
