This is interesting.
You know I had a Great Uncle who migrated from Germany way back in the day.
I tell you something, the man made the most exquisite brown/horseraddish mustard you ever tasted.
I remember I would go over to his house sometimes to listen to him tune pianos.
Then my great aunty would slice up some fresh sour krout... heat up some freshly sliced korn beef.
And man, throw all of that between some black rye and homeade brown mustard....well, it was a little slice of heaven....
