I heard my friend talking about this "great" movie Saw and the texas chain saw masacre. Probably they are using these movies to traumatize the general public.

She gives a good example how Ophra used classical disinformation strategies to convince people that there childhood memories of torture and abuse are fantasies. First she tries to catch the attention of as many victims of sexual abuse as possible. Once she had enough of them listing to her she came with the big lie: you are all suffering from a mental disorder which makes you having fake memories.
