The American fanatics aren't the recipients of three hour shows or songs they long to hear.
Springsteen delivers this to his oversea's fanatics.

What is a Springsteen performance like?
A kindergarten class where all the children up front in the pit try to get the attention of their leader/teacher so they can hand him their hand-written sign with a song request and get acknowledged when he plays the song and holds out their sign for all to see?
Deprived children.
