Default Is this NY Post Cartoon Racist?

Clearly, the shooting of a violent chimpanzee by the police, who mauled the owner's best friend has absolutely NO connection to a STIMULAS BILL.

The newspaper's editor-in-chief, (NY POST) stated that Al Sharpton loves media attention.

Obviously, THEY love to give all Sharpton something to focus his attention on!

Was this cartoon intended to strike fear into the minds of Americans and the African American community, in particular, that Obama might be assassinated?

Was this cartoon intended to cause further division between the races?

In any event, IMO, it was in very poor taste and, apparently, the POST cannot explain exactly what it was meant to portray because what it was meant to portray is crystal clear in the cartoon, itself.

The cartoon portrays OBAMA as a chimpanzee who was shot and killed and now someone else will have to write the next stimulus bill.

PERIOD.
