The government is mainly appealling to the, "my country right even when we're wrong" crowd which is like 90 percent, I'm guessing. The other 10 percent are people who either don't care or are conscientious objectors. I'd say the later are about 2 percent. A great example of bullshit recruiting tactics is in the movie Starship Troopers. :-P
