I was surprised. Japan's relationship with the outside world has never been changed at all.
Under the history of so-called closed-door policy, Japan secretly, blatantly and violently stuck its nose into a variety of nations.
And now under the policy of free competition and democracy, their door is yet secretly, virtually and effectively closed.
Nothing has been changed.
