Default Re: Origional Songs Against The NWO

Sablefish, I am not much of a song-writer, but being a guitar-player & percussionist all I can say is that even if you don’t have music assigned to your lyrics, you can however get a “copyright” on it, just for personal protection. You can use the form PA (Performing Arts) to copyright the words of a song & w/o the music. I personally think your lyrics are good, & a lot of songs don’t have words that can be perfectly placed into a time frame. A lot of the formatting of the words into a timed-frame is performed by how a good singer or composer can spread those words out to fit the timed musical progression running behind the words. And then, assigning the proper musical pitch to each word, which is what really makes a song time-less or not, the melody.

The least you can do is place a copyright notice at the bottom of your work. You don’t need to fill any paperwork for that.

Perhaps you were already aware of this, however, I wasn’t totally sure…
