Secretly Spying On Anti-Iraq War Protesters ???
The President Took A Step Toward A "Police State" - Post Gazette
"The Bush administration is continuing its assault on Americans' privacy and freedom in the name of the war on terrorism."
"...secretly authorized the National Security Agency to intercept and keep records of Americans' international phone and e-mail messageswithout benefit of a previously required court order. Second, it has permitted the Department of Defense to get away with not destroying after three months, as required, records of American Iraq war protesters in the Pentagon's Threat and Local Observation Notice, or TALON, database."
"Such action is not supposed to be taken without an application to and an order approved by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. Mr. Bush issued an executive order in 2002, months after the Sept. 11, 2001, attack, removing -- secretly -- that legal safeguard of Americans' privacy and civil rights."
"The Pentagon's action as part of TALON will be put forward as an oversight, but the idea of the Department of Defense maintaining files on American war protesters, perhaps with easy cross-reference to the NSA's records based on the results of their monitoring of phone calls and e-mails of potentially those same protesters, makes possible a very serious violation of Americans' civil rights."

Bush Vows To Continue Eavesdropping In US
"...Bush has acknowledged that he ordered the National Security Agency to conduct an electronic eavesdropping program in the United States without first obtaining warrants, and he said he would continue the highly classified program because it was "a vital tool in our war against the terrorists."

Behind Every War Criminal Lies A Criminal Idea
"I would remind you that only governments make war. Only governments have the resources to commit mass murder. Government is, by its very nature, a weapon of mass destruction. Governments from A to Z – from America to Zimbabwe – are potential instruments of brutal repression."

Is Bush Like Julius Caesar ??? "When Julius Caesar became Dictator of Rome, he aggregated all power in himself to accomplish his own ends. He believed it to be justified, for the Romans' own good, whether they wanted it or not."
Is Bush Like Julius Caesar ??? "Outspoken North Carolina Supreme Court Nominee Says Bush Reminds Her Of Caesar."
"This administration thinks it is okay to spy on individuals. This administration thinks that it is permissible to lock someone up indefinitely without charging them with a crime. This administration takes the position that it is fine to engage in a preemptive war without justification. This administration believes that if the facts don't fit, it will make them do so either by selectively choosing them, or by lying. This administration thinks that the murder of a panic-stricken US citizen by air marshals is acceptable. This administration thinks that manipulation of the media to obtain positive stories is warranted."
"Is it any wonder that this administration tramples on our civil liberties and shreds the Constitution? After all, the Constitution is "outdated" and just a "god-damned" piece of paper, (as Bush said in private to White House aides). What is next? Martial law? Suspension of the elections? It is not unthinkable."

Gonzales: War Powers Authorized Eavesdropping "We also believe that the authorization to use force which was passed by the Congress in the days following the attacks of September 11th constituted additional authorization for the president to engage in this kind of" electronic surveillance, he said.
Gonzales' comments were the latest effort by the administration to defend a covert domestic spying program first reported by The New York Times on Friday. It was the first time the Bush administration has indicated what specific legal grounds it based its actions on."
That's provided the "official" version of 911 didn't leave any "skeletons" behind & that it wasn't indeed another "Pearl Harbor," which by now most of us know, was allowed to happen - not only a disgrace, but "Treason" of the highest degree.

Oops,... The "Terrorist Information Awareness" (TIA) System - :-o :-o :-o
Oops,... The "Terrorist Information Awareness" (TIA) System
Cause' I am your goddam dictator, & I swore an oath to protect that "goddamned peice of paper" you all cherish so goddam much, & cause I ain't got notin' to explain to nobody.
A Fork In The Road
"Does Bush really value that (insert Lord's name in vain) piece of worthless paper? I think not. From his actions and manner of speech, it is doubtful that Bush has read either the US Constitution or the holy book upon which he placed his hand twice and swore to preserve, protect and defend it.
The New York Times reported last week that Bush authorized the National Security Agency (NSA) to cast a wide net to spy on American citizens' e-mail and phone calls. He allows the NSA to spy on citizens without seeking warrants from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court. Once this policy fell into public light, Bush went on the offense, saying yeah, he did it, and he was gonna keep on doing it, because he was the president and -- like he told Washington Post's Bob Woodward -- that means he doesn't have to explain to anybody why he does anything."
"The media psycho-flogs them into believing the criminal here is the whistleblower who shone the light on the illegal surveillance, not the traitor who broke the law."

I couldn't agree more, but I have the feeling that if we have another presidential election, the American people will put Jeb Bush in. They don't care about the welfare of America, just their paycheck from corporate America.
