It looks like October 12, 2007 is the "deadline" for getting your "papers" (voter's registration card) "ready" & in order, & that you must be a "registered Republican" to vote for Ron Paul.

What is Ron Paul doing about this situation?

Do you have to change your party affiliation to vote for a GOP candidate other than Ron Paul in the primary?

If you change your party affiliation to Republican in order to vote for Ron Paul in the primary and he isn't on the ballot as the GOP candidate for the Presidential Election and you want to vote Democrat, do you have to change your affiliation again?

Or, does this only pertain to the primary?

State/Territory column takes you to that stateís elections office or voter information site. Yellow indicates you need to register as a Republican or independent if you want to vote for Ron Paul in the primary. I have also highlighted, in red, states that have a looming deadline.

Every state is different and I canít fit every detail about every state on a small page so visit your stateís website and contact them if you have questions. One important thing to all the young Ron Paul supporters out there, is that if you are a first time voter you may need to register in person, you canít just mail in the form, contact your state for more information.

New York and New Hampshire have a party change deadline of October 12th!

* New York: If youíre registered as a Democrat, as any other political party, not registered with any political party, or a first time voter who wants to register with a political party, you must declare yourself a Republican by October 12th! Undeclared voters can not vote in the Republican primary, you must register as a Republican! Register with this PDF
* New Hampshire: If youíre registered as a Democrat you must register as a Republican or independent by October 12th! Independent voters can vote in any party primary however when they do so, they become registered members of that party, meaning if you were independent in 2004 but voted in the Democratic primary, you became a registered Democrat - you must re-register as a Republican or independent by October 12th! To register you have to visit your city/town clerk in person, no filling out a PDF, more information here

Hasn't this always been the rule for voting in the primary and not just initiated as a conspiracy against Ron Paul?

If you want to vote in the primary for a GOP, you must be registered as a GOP and the same if you want to vote for a Democrat. You must be registered as a Democrat.

Barbara, this is not a GOP plot against R. Paul, this is a world-wide ZIO-Cabal plot against Ron, Ron Paul decided to run as a Republican did he not? Was this because he thought that it would be more easier to get votes? As I recall, you said that being a Independent would almost certainly crucify his chances for the presidency.

But think about this, if there was a R. Paul Presidency, don't you think the PTB would ultimately seal the fate of this country through monetary or 'other' means? I guess my point is that I think the PTB are not neccessarily after R. Paul, it's the "allure of freedom in the air" they despise with a passion.

RR11, several states have moved their primaries up, even though they were threatened with the loss of delegates.

Perhaps it is not, per se, an attempt to sandbag Ron Paul, but after the Iowa and Texas straw poles, I wouldn't bet on it.

As things stand now, Romney and McCain are out of the running. Giuliani cannot carry the South or even the mid-west. Fred Thompson is almost as bad as GW without a script in front of him, that is why he waited so long to enter the race - to avoid the debates.

All Thompson has really committed to at this point is to say that he would continue doing what Bush is doing in Iraq. That will lose him the anti-war vote.

Should, by some miracle, Giuliani get the nod, it will be a love fest between him and Hillary at their face-off and we the people are screwed blue and tattooed. Many, like me, will not even bother to vote.

Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate that can defeat Hillary. IMO, he is the only candidate worth the time and effort it takes to go to the polls to vote.

I've read posts from brain-dead individuals who say that Ron Paul would be their choice if he wasn't pro-life but, since Hillary is pro-choice they are going to vote for her. Don't they realize that, in the coming crackdown, people will have to get permission from the state to even have a child. Shortly, you will have to get permission from Homeland Security to even board an airplane.

Unauthorized pregnancies will be terminated by order of the state, just as they did in China. That little experiment in population control has been a disaster because everybody wanted a boy as their one child so they killed many of the females and kept trying for a male. Now there is such an imbalance in the population that there are not enough females to go around.

Hillary says she will give every child $5,000.00 in a trust until they reach 18. When you factor in the inflation that is running rampant, that will be the equivalent of about $50.00. She's down to buying votes with the promise of taxpayer dollars but some of the fools will jump at it.

While those like you are sniffing around trying to find some dirt in Ron Paul's past to make up your mind, there are thousands if not millions who are committed to the Constitutional platform on which Ron Paul is running and putting their efforts and money toward getting him elected.

For those who love freedom and want their country back from the criminals who have hijacked it and are running it into the ground, there is no other choice. If not Ron Paul, WHO?

As far as the PTB are concerned, screw 'em. Ultimately, we will have to deal with them anyway and there are many more of us than there are of them; it may take several years but a bloody revolution will take place because the people will be left with little choice if things are not turned around NOW.

The Second Amendment says you have the right to keep and bear arms but since it doesn't specify ammunition for those arms, that is how they plan to nullify that right. A word to the wise is usually sufficient. Buy NOW, just in case. As the Boy Scout motto says, BE PREPARED.

Iraq and Afghanistan have proven that a determined populace can bring a big, bad military to it's knees, ask the former Soviets. Then, there is Blackwater with which to contend. Our tax dollars are paying billions to it and others like it; they WILL be used under Martial Law right here in this country.

Our local police have been militarized and are going ape-shit berserk with their stun guns and bounties for "getting tough" on the citizenry. How many of us are they going to kill before we wake up to our sorry situation and begin to change it.

It's time to fish or cut bait, shit or get off the pot, lead, follow or get out of the way. I, for one, prefer a peaceful revolution to a bloody one.

With another $5 million in the war chest, the Ron Paul Revolution is rockin' on!

Thanks for that reply Barbara, I'm not trying to BRING DOWN R. Paul by searching for any muck on him, I'm simply trying to not be let down anymore by politicians. Your 100% correct when you say there is NO-OTHER CHOICE period. The problem is the American People and there brainwashed mentality toward people like R. Paul, the ZIO media portray him and his followers as NutJobs, the un-thinking masses latch on to that, and then what you get is a bunch of numbskulls voting for a bunch of numbskulls.

Yes, it may seem I'm trying very hard to dis-credit R. Paul, but I can assure you, I truly would like for him to win, because he deserves it, Hillary/Obama or Rudy/Romney, logic dictates that R. Paul is way ahead of these people in intelligence and political (constitutional) thought. There is no choice other than R. Paul.

Here is a Lamestream Media Outlet showing R.Paul in a good light for a change. If the others could do the same, things will change for the better, but of course we can never count on them.

What a awsome person this R. Paul is.
