redrat11, do you know about or have used police scanners?

if you do, which one do you think gives you the best overall coverage of bands, including the ones used in speed traps and such?

or is it more a matter of selecting which “features” would you like your scanner to have?

is it legal to have a scanner in your vehicle while you are cruising?

10-4 good buddy!

If you are thinking of owning one, don't! You'll end up looking like a cop wanabe geek!

I don't think a scanner will help you with a speed trap, as they don't tend to chatter while waiting to trap innocent speedsters.
