Default Is the word porno really that bad?

Okay, censorship in the US<st1:country-region><st1></st1></st1:country-region> must be at an all time high. Anyone going to see Zack and Miri Make A Porno on October 31?<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDo***ent> <w:View>Normal</w:View> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <w:Compatibility> <w:BreakWrappedTables/> <w:SnapToGridInCell/> <w:WrapTextWithPunct/> <w:UseAsianBreakRules/> </w:Compatibility> <w:BrowserLevel>MicrosoftInternetExplorer4</w:BrowserLevel> </w:WordDo***ent> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if !mso]><object classid="clsid:38481807-CA0E-42D2-BF39-B33AF135CC4D" id=ieooui></object> <style> st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } </style> <![endif]--><style> <!-- /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:""; margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; mso-header-margin:.5in; mso-footer-margin:.5in; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --> </style><!--[if gte mso 10]> <style> /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} </style> <![endif]--> <o></o>

I saw an advanced screening and thought it was pretty damn funny. Probably Smith's best in awhile. Anyway, I'm sure you've all heard about the poster being banned in the <st1:country-region><st1>States</st1></st1:country-region> which is totally retarded. Here it is:
<o></o>

<o></o>
So is this just a reflection of Puritan mania ala Bush government? Or has it always been this way? Will Obama (if he wins) change the way censorship is utilized? Is the word "porno" really that bad???

Sounds like another MINDLESS film.

What authority banned the poster?

What sense does that make?

What about the title of the film?

Are they going to ban that, too?

Hey look another movie thread by Emma Smith!

Oh Emma.

Anyhoo, I'm a big Kevin Smith fan so I'm going to go see this just to support him. And yes Blue, networks have been purposely changing the title of the movie when they speak about it, just calling it Zack and Miri.

Reminds me of the time (way back when) that a new James Bond movie was coming out and it was called Octopussy. One of the local NY film critics (Gene Shallot) went out of his way to mispronounce this title. It was pretty funny.

Sure, they can call it Zack and Miri, but the title is:

Zack and Miri make a Porn.

So, the title hasnt' changed.

Anyhoo, what authority banned the poster?

Anyone know?

I would suggest that yes the word PORN is distasteful and this movie depicts the type of BETA programming that is targeted at our youth.

Loss of sexual inhibition.

I wouldn't see this movie if you paid me to do so because I don't support the controller's agenda.

The MPAA (motion picture association of america) was the authority that banned the poster.

So, is there an entity that has authority over the title of films?

If it is the MPAA, seems a bit hypocritical to me.

Yeah, it does seem a bit hypocritical if they were actually the ones that banned it.

Well I'm going to see it tomorrow (good thing I don't live in Utah), I'll let you know how it is Blue, or I won't if you'd rather not know.

And stay away from Clerks II I have a feeling you'd really really hate that movie.

Thanks for the heads up about Clerks II.

I think being a prisoner of MKULTRA/Project Monarch and the sexual abuse I endured; together with my knowledge as to their agenda for society and the filth they target at our youth, just makes my stomach turn when sexually explicit material is shown in movies.

Like that scene in "Something about Mary," with Stiler in the bathroom.

I mean, I just can't watch certain movies with my kids.

The sexual content is just too graphic so much of the time.

It might be that I'm just oversensitized; could be I'm a prude or like I said, merely because I understand their agenda.

Lemme know what you think.

Enjoy!
