Default Self Defence: Is it WRONG?


"13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints."

This is quite a controversial topic. :-?

Naturally, I would say that it is OK to defend yourself and your loved ones against evil man.

The Bible seems to disagree. Frankly, that seems a bit nuts to me.

I imagine, who would just stand there and watch horrible things happen to their family and friends? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
Maybe we should be considering the possibility that the passage in Rev 13:10 is either a misunderstanding or a perversion of the truth.
And maybe not.
