Ah...but, the tips (either side of the pinkie finger) are revival and palpitation points in Shiatsu/Accupuncture/Accupressure therapies.

Quite how you'd do this yourself is another matter. Phone for an Ambulance instead... :-D

they have new gadgets that respond to heartbeats in weak and old folks, alerting MT's to the person, although someone in their 40's or younger would'nt have one on unless they're real sick or something. :-?
