Jimbo.. Why are you yelling with oversized font? I know how serious the situation is.. However "yelling" (oversized font or all caps) makes us all look crazy.

Just between you and me, I think Bush's popularity is about 5% of the population.. However about 50% of the people in the U.S. work directly or indirectly for the gubbmnt.. They know their phones are wired, and they know that each and every keystroke of their keyboard is recorded by the NSA. They want to keep their fat gubbmnt paycheck, and retirement benefits.

So they sell the rest of us down the tubes and lie to the polltakers, and betray the rest of us for their own personnel security.

So the polls mean nothing at all.

Well, two things:

1) Think in terms of the continuum of power: when Bush is out, they want one of their own in next, and what better way than to promote him (or her) as "Better than Bush." The future lame duck is now a political straw in order to set up the next one groomed for office, that's all.

2) As for the "Good life": the American Dream can turn into a nightmare overnight for some of these victims. It's called the "Extortionate Transaction": give someon a house, Cadillac RV, a nice pension, etc.; let them get used to the good life, and then threaten to take it away if they don't do what you want. Happens ALL THE TIME to some of the best in law enforcement and government. Total shame.
