But, I respectfully disagree.
When something is TOO painful to remember such as trauma-based torture, we don't choose to forget.
It's not a choice when the torture is occurring.
It's a reaction by our brain.
Our brain fragments; creates a compartment to house the pain because the PAIN is unbearable.
Because of the fragmentation; it is forgotten.
Not by choice, but by design.
The brain's natural defense mechanism.
