when it takes off from new york you can see it go east from the ground while the earth seems to be not mooveing. how do we explain this. if the jet is going east it is allready traveling at over 1000 mph even befor it takes off by earths rotation. so how can the 747 go at the speed of sound without earts rotation cacheing up to the 747. let me see anyone explain this
Well, it is simply explained by Einstein's relativity. You see, relative to the speed of the earth's rotation everything on the earth is also rotating at 1000mph. So when the 747 takes off it is already going at 1000mph and adds the 786 to this. Thus is reaches its destination without any problem.
