Sorry Grim but I don't agree.

And you're also missing the point by a few Astronomical Units.

The qualified scientists don't even know themselves......!

Once you finally realise this fundamentally simple observation.......but I fear it could be a few years yet................

Forget about kids swatting up at uni, use your own brain for once and don't rely on the intellectual equivalents of mum and dad to tell you everything.....!!

So you just admitted you don't know what you're talking about.

I think one of the problems is that science has become like a religion itself and administered by a high priesthood, the guru scientist themselves.

However having said that I would still make a distinction between good science and phoney science.

The only problem is the good science doesn't sound as impressive as the phoney science.

It seems there is an unwritten rule within the human psyche that if something isn't really true but is presented as the truth it sounds even better and everyone wants to hear about it.

I'm sure there are many phoney scientists out there who have banked on this simple fact to gain bucket loads of funding.

Its very much the equivalent of the charlatan selling bottles of fake medicine back in good old days.

I dunno.
In addition to what I have already said, that the surface of Mars in telescopes has a fairly uniform colour throughout, it would still not explain why the colour of the sky is so radically different on Mars between the landing missions.

It would not make any sense to have the sky a different colour depending on the landing site chosen.
