Default Why are some people so hostile to conspiracy theories? Especially the educated types?

Here's just one response I got in regards to Netanyahu getting prior knowledge of the bombings. Notice how the bulk of his response is moronic sarcasm, and a deliberate sidestepping of the question.

Who needs a conspiracy, when you can do it out in the open because your captive audience refuses to believe the government can do any wrong???

=====================

I can't believe I'm even thinking about this bollocks but here goes:

Let's assume that Scotland Yard really did warn Netty about a risk of terrorism, which is far from established.

1. So Scotland Yard is part of this massive Byzantine intergovernmental plot that would offend the humanity of anyone involved? Way to keep things need to know.

2. Why do they give Netty a warning? Firstly, wouldn't Netty dying be good for the militarist plot? If he is part of the world government conspiracy, then why wasn't he already discretely informed rather than by Scotland yard to his staff?

If Netty was in no danger of actually going to the specific sites (which the authorities know about) why warn him when he was at no actual risk?

3. How many times on average does Netty get cautionary terror alerts, particularly on a foreign trip? Do you think that he might have a reason to be considered a particular target by any chance, with a correspondingly low threshold for alerts?
