Is it just coincidence that Katrina is the first name of the assistant to the Coast Guard Admiral who is now in charge of the New Orlean's holocaust clean-up?

I'm just curious. Why couldn't the people in New Orleans who were TRAPPED there after the hurricane and "HOMELESS" be moved to shelters in the surrounding areas.

By this, I don't mean other states.

I mean areas within Louisianna.

Many were moved to Texas and are now being moved again.

Talk about psychological trauma???

But, seriously, certainly New Orleans could tend to evacuees the same as Texas!!!

I don't know, but I travelled around Lousiana and most of the place is indeed a swamp. Some roads are really never ending bridges, that stretch for miles and miles. The backcountry is also very poor. Even New orleans is not a very large city.

New Orleans is too close. The refugees might get homesick and try to act on those feelings. Even the mayor went softhearted and tried to let some of them back in, and you saw the immediately kneejerk reaction by FEMA, right? To be followed shortly by yet another class five hurricane headed to the Gulf of Mexico.
From the start, one of the objectives of this operation has been to create a new diaspora for the low income inhabitants of New Orleans, so that the Jewish Mafia and Donald Trump can erect yet another casino city on the ashes of the New Orleans ghettoes.
It is also becoming all too obvious that this scheme was deployed from the top down. In fact, it's starting to look to me like Bush himself is in on it. They probably sold him on it with a sales pitch about how good it would be for the "oily-garchs", his mostl loyal constituency. He is actually so stupid that he can't see down the road to how this will undo his regime.

So, then, if most of the place is indeed a swamp and sits below sea level, I surmise their evacuation plans were, for the most part, negligible.

However, there must be some area of Louisianna that could have housed evacuees after the storm and placed them in safe areas before the storm.

I've never been there, so, I will now go to my atlas.

It is obvious that the closer people are, the better it would be. The city is dry even now, they could be coming back today.
I agree with freeman that sending people to Salt Lake City is totally nonsense. Unless you don't want them to come back.
But I disagree with the reason...it seems to me that this is part of the depopulation / return to the wilderness plan from the UN/new agers. The old talk about Mother Gaia had enough and is getting her revenge, and let's leave most of the land intact and without humans. I heard this crap even from Jeff Rense this week.
