Hurricane Wilma is the most instense storm ever recorded to form in the Atlantic packing winds of 175 mph.

Category 5 hurricanes almost seem "commonplace" these days.

Let me tell you something. I am sick to death of CHILDREN being punished unmericfully and put through the court system; charged horrendous fines for one little act of junvenile behavior!!

I'm tired of it.

Once they have these kids in the system, it is difficult to get out.

like I said, I'm tired of this POLICE STATE!!!

Let kids be kids! I agree some children commit awful acts and should be punished accordingly; but I'm talking about "stepping out of line" which might involve disobedience in school of a minor act and the police being summoned!

The mobile hurricane factory: did anyone see the invisible anomalous bands before Wilma became active? Where are the hot spots now, when we need them?

About effects of violence, etc. in the media: I agree about desens. and would add that it is all part of the conditioning of the masses.
Also, when faced with an emotional situation in which the solution is not obvious, we all fall back on the earlier patterns of behavior ingrained in our minds. These "schemas" then become a pattern or suggestion for action. So when we get positive-outcome violence on TV we are just being set up to do it ourselves.

It's a shame that when your feet are not in someone else's shoes, you can easily turn away from the situation.

However, I continue to be appalled at the numbers of people, after all of the "blunders" have been "highlighted" in regard to this administration's criminal conduct, who support the war!

Granted, Saddam should be on trial for aiding and abetting, but I can't help but imagine Bush/Cheney/Rove in the "hot seat."

Although I haven't seen the path it has traveled, where it originated, it's current position is quite odd.
